Hi-5 Comics and Cards

Definitely check out Hi-5 Comics & Cards on the North side near Ankeny. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and willing to work with you on bulk deals. They buy and take trades, too. Take them some cool stuff you no longer want, and bring home cool stuff - win win!

This store is still a little new, but they’re my first place I stop when I’m in Des Moines.
The staff is incredible-very chatty, and happy to help you find anything.
They’ve got a wide range of products-from high end wax to cheap .25 cent cards to dig through.
They even have a box of cards that people can take for free! I’ve been to a lot of card stores across the country and almost never see a FREE box haha.
They seem to be a growing store, and will be a staple in the Des Moines area.

Stopped in for the first time today to find some basketball cards for a birthday party. Justin was super helpful and put together a really nice package for us.

Will definitely go back if we need any sports cards, Pokemon or magic cards.

Fantastic shop. Staff is always very engaging with both me and my son in sports and Pokémon conversations. Easy to work with, great communication and very friendly!

Stopped by Hi-5 in February of 2024. This is a well organized shop. The cards are in excellent shape and the prices are very fair. I highly recommend the Hi-5 🤚

An fun card shop. It always has a clean environment and nice atmosphere. Comic selection is limited. Majority sports and Pokémon card to look through including 25 cent and dollar boxes which is a plus. I always walk out with something, good deal to be had

Great place to go for comics, cards, and collectibles. Very nice staff and great deals. Lots of slabs and raw comics. The key issue display is really convenient for browsing and they have great deals on bck issues of comics. Been here 4 or 5 times now and love diving through the dollar bins as well. Highly recommended for some great graded comic books for sale. They also have an ebay seller page.

Lots of singles, good selection of both sports and non-sports boxes, supplies, good people who can help with grading, questions, buying/selling/trading. Definitely worth checking out

I can’t speak as a buyer, but as a lady who gets tags along to card shows, card shops, and falls asleep to my Mr. watching card breaks….this is *definitely* the cleanest, most organized, bright, spacious card shop I have ever been drug to.

Place is amazing! Reminds me of comic book and card shops when I was younger. Out of all the comic book shops in the metro I like this place the best, the owner is very knowledgeable and will help you out. Lots of comics and cards, I will be back for sure.

I love going to the High 5 comic shop, the owners are knowledgeable on cards and comics and they make each customer feel valued when in there! Great atmosphere!
