We had an absolutely lovely weekend at the Bross. Service was impeccable, breakfasts were amazing, hot tub was nice and bubbly, and the bed was comfy. Personal touches and great recommendations from the innkeepers made our stay extra special. We loved our stay and hope you will too.

The walls are indeed thin, but we are quiet people anyway, and we weren't bothered by our neighbor's sneezes.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts are very nice and welcoming. The room was very well kept in the old look and feel with all the necessary updates to live in today's comfort. The breakfasts were very "gourmet" and photo worthy. I would definitely go back when visiting Paonia in the future! Thanks guys!

If you want a off the beaten path in the wine country and a cute historical place to stay, then definitely choose here. The Bross Hotel Bed and Breakfast far exceeded our expectations! It is so full of history. We booked out the smallest Sweet Cherry room there as well as the Perfect Pear room. My parents were perfectly comfortable in the full size bed and didn't report any noise complaints after 10 pm given that the porch next to their room does lead to chairs outside their window. My hubby and I have a fantastic time in the Perfect Pear room and loved the antique bath tub. It has a nice solid metal vase if you want the bubble bath and clean water to pour over your head. It was not too stuffy or hot at all - we opened the window next to the bed and slept very very well. We woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and sunlight outside and felt restored.

The highlight of stay was honestly the stellar outstanding breakfast in the morning!! The breakfast area is beautiful with every table setting with antiques and a vase in the middle with table cloth. As long as you tell them 48 hours in advance your dietary preference, they make every chance to accommodate you. My family was super impressed by the light fluffy poppyseed pancakes with homemade cherry compote and cream while I was able to receive a fantastic savory small roasted potatoes and veggie/tofu/egg scramble with tumeric as the lactose-free option. We also received a nice bowl of fruit and a plate of thick cut perfect fried bacon to share. This is definitely about 1000x steps up from your local IHOP.

They also offered a mother's day appetizer and wine evening pairing over the weekend - While we didn't partake, from what we saw, the appetizers were super creative & tasty looking and the menu was very enticing. (if you don't drink, its totally worth it to ask if you can just have the appetizers for a price!! - that's my one regret that I didn't ask if that was possible)

They offer free parking though FYI, if you own a Tesla, the EV charger in town isn't compatible - recommend to charge up elsewhere first!! Its about 3 minutes away from a lot of local wineries such as Qutori winery so great location to explore different vineyards from!

Spent 2 nights with girlfriends for wine tasting. We enjoyed the hotel and all the wines in the area! The breakfasts were delicious. The service was friendly although not as involved as some bed and breakfasts. The wine and desserts in the evenings were nice. We sat on the porches and enjoyed the evenings.

Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were phenomenal. They worked with our dietary requests. The Wi-Fi worked very well. Our room was very cozy and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The town is quaint with good food options (definitely try the Flying Fork restaurant for dinner). We used the hotel as a base for visiting the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park which is about an 80 minute drive from Bross Hotel but definitely worth the trip! We really enjoyed our time at the Bross. Highly recommended!

This was my first bed and breakfast. It was so nice and clean. The bed was comfortable/ super soft sheets! Each room is decorated with antiques and unique furniture. I was in the Peaches and Dream room. Very cute. What really stands out are the breakfasts. They are truly amazing. So delicious and creative. I had a crème brûlée French toast that was out of this world. The owners are so nice and it was truly a pleasure to stay here. Only one negative- the little window above the door did not have a curtain so the room was super lit up at night due to the hall lights being on. It was hard to sleep with that much light in the room. I’m glad I brought a sleep mask!

Owners and hosts Mike and Suzanne could not be more wonderful! This Weekend was our third time staying at the Bross in one year. It is charming and very reasonably priced especially with the delicious and fresh breakfast. The rooms are all unique and charming. We ❤ This place and will return often as it is just a few hours from a Denver and a great weekend getaway when combined with West Elk wineries and tastings.

I manage a hotel in Vail, CO. I've worked in the hotel industry for almost 20 years. These folks are amazing!! They are new to the business but you couldn't tell from their outstanding service. The hotel itself is beautiful! Two giant trees stand guard at the entrance, majestic. The hotel has double decks for reading and relaxing while enjoying the peaceful morning or evening. The rooms are delightful; cozy, wonderful decor, modern and rustic (not sure how that works but it does), and an ingenious use of a swamp cooler. The breakfast was Delicious!!! If you don't like this place, you're doing it wrong. Please say "thank you" to these lovely people who are inviting you into their home so graciously. Wonderful stay, will be back! Seriously, the breakfast was fantastic!!

AMAZING B&B!! The breakfasts are full-on gourmet (ridiculously good), the hotel is charming and comfortable. Was not expecting to find something this wonderful in such a tiny town, but there it is! If you're debating about where to stay - stop and just book in here. You'll be glad you did.

Oh. My. Gosh. This place is amazing! The owners have thought of everything! The rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. The sheets are heavenly! Ask the owners about how to get your own. The dining area is charming. But the food! The food alone is worth the visit. They always start with fresh fruit, and then some amazing breakfast concoction. Recently, we had pancakes with blueberry compote and lemon curd. So good! Suzanne and Mike are accommodating, helpful and pleasant. All of this is surprisingly affordable. If you’re looking for a lovely getaway, this is the place.

We love this place! Husband & I wanted a quiet clean room within easy walking distance of Paonia shops & restaurants - and this historic hotel was perfect! Our room (the Grapevine) was clean, bright, and soooo comfortable. The 2nd floor porch was a peaceful place to enjoy a glass of local wine in the shade of giant poplar trees. Our host Mike was welcoming, knowledgeable, hard-working and willing to answer all our questions. Breakfast was served at lovely, separate tables. It was as spectacular as other reviews have mentioned. We didn't meet Suzanne - but her talent in the kitchen was very much appreciated! The locally sourced ingredients were carefully, deliciously prepared & beautifully served.
Thursdays in August feature free "Pickin' in the Park" music at the Paonia town park - an easy walk along tree-lined residential streets.
This was our first visit but it may become an annual event!

This was a delightful small hotel/B&B within a short walk of downtown Paonia. We were unlucky enough to be in Paonia during a heat wave, but amazingly for a historic hotel the room was pleasantly cool and we were able to get a good night's sleep. The breakfast was delicious, and provided plenty of fuel for hiking and fun. The proprietors were delightful and helpful with restaurant information and even a screwdriver to adjust a slippy hiking pole. Recommended.

This historic b&b is so cute, conveniently located, and the inn keepers are fantastic. Rooms are clean and breakfast is amazing. A gem! We had a great and relaxing time here during our romantic labor day getaway.

Absolutely loved this Bed & Breakfast! What a historic gem. The vibe of hotel and its location in Paonia is fitting for those that want an enchanting experience. Our relaxing, Room #7 is equipped with a relaxing claw bath tub- it was amazing. The hosts, Suzanne and Mike were so accommodating to my friend and I’s needs. It was impeccable service. We had a wonderful stay and it was hard to leave! For breakfast, we had delicious fluffy blueberry pancakes served with bacon. The Bross Hotel is a short walk to the Main Street. The Orvis Hot Springs aren’t too far either and that’s lovely too. I definitely plan to be back. Thank you, Bross Hotel, for an unforgettable experience!

I can't say enough good things about the Bross. Suzanne and Mike, the new owners, are doing an incredible job. The building is on a cute side street, is beautifully maintained, and has absolutely no shortage of charm. The highlight for my wife and I was the breakfast. It was possibly the best breakfast either of us ever had, with homemade, locally sourced ingredients. When I commented on how delicious some of the homemade jam was, Suzanne and Mike surprised us as we were leaving with a jar to take home with us. If you are considering a stay at the Bross, don't wait any longer. Book today. You'll be happy you did. My wife and I certainly are.

My husband and I are so grateful for the Bross B+B's hospitality. They were very accommodating to us on multiple fronts. A late summer snowstorm threw a wrench in our backpacking itinerary (just had to hike faster!), but they were very understanding. Arriving here was heavenly. Our room was clean and comfortable. No "creepy B+B" vibes to be found here! Also, they made The. Most. Delicious. Breakfast. Ever.

This place is quaint and comfortable. The decor in the common areas reminds me of my grandma's house. The patios and upstairs balcony are perfect to wine down with some local wine and a cigar at the end of the day. The lack of a TV in the rooms is actually a plus as you can disconnect from the news of the world. Beds and pillows are comfy and breakfast is amazing.

Bross Hotel is a wonderfully maintained historic hotel built in 1906. Our room was lovely. Breakfasts were great. Over the three days we were there they were different every day. The cook makes her own English Muffins for the eggs Benedict.
