Sweetgrass Paonia

Always so nice to stop in Paonia - especially when we grab a meal at Sweetgrass. This time; the perfect oatmeal, Caesar salad, yummy frittata and teas. Great service, a cool patio, great coffee - We'll be back!

Best breakfast in all the land! The breakfast sandwiches are incredibly tasty, filling and inventive with savory eggs, cheese, chicken sausage or bacon, and avocado, on a delicious biscuit. My mouth is watering just typing this review!! They have all the alternatives to milk you could want, also. Oat, almond, etc. My granddaughter loves the chocolate croissants. You can’t go wrong here! A gem in little Paonia!

Just a nice little place, great outdoor seating. Good food. Server could smile a little but hey I got my food!

I loved everything about Sweetgrass cafe. The latte was amazing as well as the brownie. The Hal sandwich accompanied with homemade potato chips was so delicious. Friendly staff, charming indoor spaces and a relaxing patio dining area. Upstairs rooms are available to rent.

This place is special. Delicious menu and great beverage list. Would 100 percent be here every weekend if we lived closer. Give it a try!

They make the best ham sandwich on a pretzel bun! If it's warm enough, there's a lovely outdoor seating area, dog friendly.

Not a big vegetarian selection but the kale salad is loaded with yummy goodness. We recommend the cream of asparagus soup and the pastries are second to none!

The food and coffee was delicious. Especially would recommend the Hal sandwich and the peach coffee cake. The staff was so friendly and nice. The outdoor area was so peaceful

Lovely atmosphere, and lots of fun drinks to try. Definitely a great spot for your morning latte! Loved how friendly the people were, and this spot felt very local.

What a lovely birthday feast! We're in from out of town and wanted to find a nice birthday brunch type meal. Sweetgrass delivered. The staff is lovely, the food exceptional, and the atmosphere (sitting outside in the shade on a lovely late summer morning) was incredible. I will absolutely be back for the yogurt bowl!

I've eaten at Sweetgrass many times, and I'm never disappointed! The menu is fairly simple with many interesting, enchanting flavors! I'm also a pick espresso drinker, and the coffee is always spot on to my liking- it's hard not to drink several when I dine in.
The staff is phenomenal, and they're one of the many things that keep pulling me back! They all amazing people who do their best to ensure you have a wonderful experience.
My go-to has been an Ayo sandwich, but swapping the bacon out for turkey since I don't eat pork!

Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. It did take a while to get but was worth the wait. Best part was the outside patio and being able to have our dog with us.

Loved the place, tasty and yummy breakfast, highly recommend visiting this cozy place. We tried avocado toast, frittata AM sandwich and chickpea falafel waffle.

This is my second visit during an annual trip to Paonia. The food is well prepared and fresh... and worth a visit! The vibe is super chill in this cute old house. It's also kid friendly ( I have two).

Sweetgrass has it all. The food is always fresh and delicious, the employees and owner are lovely, and sitting outside on the patio under the trees is magic. The coffee is top notch with a beautiful espresso machine from Italy. They also have several gluten free options. My favorite breakfast, lunch, or coffee spot in Paonia.

I love lunch at Sweetgrass!! The Ayo is my go to sandwich that is so tasty. The bread for this sandwich is amazing and the homemade chips pair perfectly. If your looking for a good lunch spot in this small town Sweetgrass is sure to please.

An absolute local gem. I like the Ayo with turkey or an Am sandwich and make sure to check out the amazing baked goods.

Wow! Excellent! My wife suggested we go in here as we were walking by, I wasn't too interested in eating lunch at a coffee shop. It is definitely more than that! The food was great! Everything that we had. Fresh and delicious! They make all their own bread for the sandwiches and all their own and they're excellent! I was really impressed!

The woman behind the register could have been friendlier but not a big deal, maybe she was just having an off day. It wouldn't stop me at all from coming back repeatedly!
