Firehouse Theater

When buying the tickets I didn’t know what to expect but my wife and I were both pleasantly surprised! This was a lot of fun and the bit players were very funny and engaging. Definitely don’t skip this if you’re in town!

I hate to leave this review because I don't want to give this amazing gem away, but this is a must see if visiting New Port. Tickets sell out fast, so plan ahead. This was our second time going and each show is amazingly unique. It's a BYOB and an intimate setting where all seats are good. Doors open 30 mins prior and are first come, first serve. They take suggestions for topics from the audience to play into their skits and are brilliantly incorporated.

A group of 12 of us brought our friend M for his bachelor party on a sold out night....so many laughs! The Bit Players are truly a talented and entertaining bunch. Recommend 👍

first ever improv show and there’s nothing bad i can say about it. i loved the entire show. my cheeks genuinely hurt because i couldn’t stop laughing. i wish i lived near by so i can come back

Firehouse Theater's performance was a blast! The performers had us laughing non-stop and were incredibly engaging with the audience. Hats off to the talented cast for a hilarious and entertaining show! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I have attended six or seven of their shows over the last few years and enjoyed all of them very much. The performers are very talented and the venue is casual and fun. Every guest I have brought with me to these shows loved them.

Such a funny show! Talent did NOT disappoint. Must see spot if you're in the area and in the timeframe for a comedy show!!

I had the most amazing experience seeing AND being a part of the Bit Players improv show at Firehouse Theater and it’s a memory I will never forget. They were amazing in every way. From byob, the Theater itself, to the entire show, it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend, nay… DEMAND that you check out these talented actors if you’re ever planning to visit Newport. You will not regret it!

We thought FT was great! We had a variety of ages, and it appealed to all. Funny without being disgustingly rude, and had the added benefit of live music, that was also improv. GREAT EXPERIENCE and a nice, different night out, that didn't break the bank! A+

Firehouse Theatre staff was very organized & helpful to find seats. They were very welcoming. They kindly provided cups as it is a byob establishment. The theatre was clean & event tickets pleasantly affordable. Show started on time & ended on time. The Bit Players comedy staff was hilarious. They are very talented & our group loved every minute of the show! I have recommended this event to all of my friends & family! Keep up the great work!!!!

This is my second time. It is a fun night out, with some laughs and interesting artistic theater. Improv can go anywhere which keeps you coming back.

Really great fast and easy date night here. As with any improv, it matters on taste, and some as a hit and some is not. Enjoy this fast hour away for some laughs.

First time visiting the Firehouse Theater and it was a blast. Really great atmosphere. Great crowd interaction so we felt like part of the show. Will definitely be back for more laughs

The Bit Players are beyond incredible. We go to Newport once a year specifically to see The Bit Players. We attended the show Friday July 15 and loved it so much we came back Saturday. We’ve been 7 times and each time it’s better than the last. If this show was closer we would attend weekly. Ty to the amazing players. Genius !! Scott and Yvonne Donaghy

My 3rd time seeing The Bit Players, and this time brought my sisters. Have seen several different performers... none of them have ever disappointed! They are all so fantastic. Clever, funny, and wicked smart... such talent! My personal favorite is DANNY. Oh... and... the band is really great! Run... don't walk... to check out The Bit Players at the Firehouse Theater in Newport RI.

Fun night out in Newport! The improv team is fantastic - really funny and clever and talented. We've attended several times recently and brought friends each time - live entertainment is the best. We will be back.
