Cat-Villa

I've brought my cat here twice while I was away on vacation (2+ weeks at a time). The owner, Lance, is very friendly and takes great care of the cats. My cat really enjoyed playing on the catio and was well taken care of. I highly recommend the Cat Villa if your cat needs a place to stay while you're out of town.

Due to a family emergency, we had to board our sweet 16 year old cat for almost 3 weeks. Faced with leaving our fur-baby with a stranger, I couldn't recommend Lance and Cat-Villa more! The kindness and attention to detail was amazing. The accommodations also made leaving our beloved family member a bit easier. I highly recommend Cat-Villa to anyone.

We found the Cat Villa online while looking for an alternative cattery or pet hotel for our cat. We made an appt to visit and were pleasantly surprised. It's a residence and you immediately know the people who lived there love cats (cat signage, cat statues, etc). This is a beautiful open cattery that has colorful cat trees leading up to cat walkways, cushions and cat bedding everywhere, and TV for cat entertainment! The cats are free to roam while inside the cattery and when not feeding in their pens. The cattery overlooks a lush garden full of trees and plants. Lance, the owner, showed us around and provided details on the feeding and upkeep. He struck us as very organized and parental in the caring of the cats, as if they were children. He said he was fully booked for July but could make it work for a 2 day trial run with our cat. Our cat is not gregarious but does get curious when introduced to new things. She did well, considering she hadn't been exposed to other cats for many years. Overall, we loved the Cat Villa, and would love to bring our cat there again.

Lance was awesome. He sent text updates with pictures. That meant a lot because it was the first time we ever boarded our cats. Also, they have a cool set-up there with the atrium where the cats roam freely and interact with other cats. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience boarding our cat here last week! We have never boarded any pets before, but after my parents recommended them I thought it sounded like a great option. It is a very cozy atmosphere. I love that the kitties get to roam around & be in an enclosed patio. It’s probably the most comfortable they could be while away from home. I found the rates to be really reasonable as well & the peace of mind was worth it. We will definitely use them again in the future!

This place could also be called the Feline Zen Garden. It's so peaceful, and all the cats are so relaxed. They all seem to adjust to being part of the group within a few hours. And then they have such a nice patio to enjoy. Very happy that I found this place! Lance has been very kind and very patient with all my questions!

I drove a friend here to board her cat. Located in a residential area, in a private home.

All the cats roam around loose in the room & all were getting along really great! Each cat has its own sleeping quarters. Bring its blanket & food.

I brought my two cats to Lance's Cat Villa for a week in February 2022. I've never boarded my cats before so I was a little nervous how they would do in this new situation. They both did great, even the nervous one! Drop off/pick up was super easy. My cats do not travel well in the car and one got sick on the way there. Lance made it so easy even though she was dirty (ew). They were so well taken care of. Thank you Cat Villa!

Our first boarding experience for our rescue fur baby. We weren't sure how she would react around other cats but they all get along so great! Lance & his sister really know their way around the feline world! It's so calm and beautiful and clean (no smell at all). Sophie was so happy there! Thank you again Cat Villa for taking such great care of her!

This place is amazing! My cats were here for just over two weeks and I was confident that they were safe and comfortable. The owners are very sweet and will happily send you updates about your cats if you'd like. I didn't want them to just be in a small space the whole time so this was the perfect space to allow them to roam around but also have places to hide/be together when they didn't feel like socializing. The rate is very decent for what you get. I will definitely be using them again!!! Highly recommend!

Excellent facility with caring staff. Lance and his team took great care of my girls while I was away for the holidays, and I have already booked with them again for this summer! Would highly recommend to any other cat lovers who are wary of other facilities which keep cats in cages or tiny closet-like rooms, as at Cat Villa the cats can move around as they please through the facility at all times. 10/10 :)

Cash and Lance at The Cat Villa have taken care of our sweet boy, Darius, for at least a dozen times. If you care about your cat and want them to be in a loving and fun environment while you are away, this is the place. I have never seen cats that don't know each other get along so well and I can only attribute it to how Cash and Lance are with them and the beautiful space they provide. Each cat has their own kitty condo that they can retreat to if they want and plenty of hidden nooks to take a snooze. Our cat has gotten to the point where he no longer minds being put in his kitty carrier as he knows he has a short car ride to visit his friends over at the Cat Villa. On our cat's last visit, we received a call that our cat had some swelling and needed to be seen by a Vet. Long story short, Cash and Lance were amazing every step of the way - keeping in contact with us and making sure we knew how our cat was doing. We are so grateful that they were with him and able to get him the care he needed (surgery) before things got worse and that he was well on his way to feeling back to his old self by the time we got back in town and picked him up. What more could we ever ask for? This place is fantastic - look no further.

Our cat, Cyrano, is 15 years old and was recently diagnosed with kidney problems which required a special diet. We felt uncomfortable leaving him at home when we went on vacation (which is what we've always done) so we were so happy to find out about Cat Villa. Cash met me for a visit to tour the cattery and instantly put me at ease about boarding my cat for the first time in his life. It is a very nice space with plenty of room for our cat. When we dropped off Cyrano, he seemed to settle in quickly. We got daily updates from Cash with photos of our cat enjoying himself. It was very reassuring to have Cash keeping an eye on Cyrano and helping keep him on his special diet. We will definitely board at Cat Villa in the future for any other trips we are going to take. If you need a place to board your cat, I highly recommend Cat Villa.

This place is the best! Cats roaming in peace and harmony. I really don't know how they do it. My cat always comes back relaxed and happy. We've been going for a few years now and will continue to!

Lance is the best and so kind. Leaving our cat at Catvilla for a couple of weeks of travel was such a huge peace of mind. Highly recommend this place!

The only place I feel comfortable leaving my cats. They have ample room to lounge around with other cats, along with their own personal space. High quality care is given.

We just brought our cat Sasha home after a 3 day stay at Cat-Villa in Encinitas. WOW...what a GREAT experience for us and our cat.

Cat-Villa is an incredible facility that is totally focused on cats. They offer very personalized service and limit the number of cats to around 10, at any one time.

The cats can play in the free zone or retire to their Cat Cubby's, all the while looking out over a beautiful garden and watching birds or fish on their dedicated flat screen TV!

Cash, Lance and Debbie run this as a very professional business.... but they obviously REALLY love cats.

If you are looking for a cat boarding facility anywhere near Encinitas and want the ABSOLUTE best for your cat....at a very reasonable price.... then you must consider Cat-Villa.... they are simply the BEST of the BEST!!!

Loved this place! Definitely recommend to anyone looking to leave their cat with someone trustworthy. They care for all the cats there and it's a very open happy place for the cats. The vibe is very "Zen".
