DAS Auto

I waited a few months to write this review to confirm what I suspected, Das Auto actually fixed my car. For about a year, a VW dealer located in the Seacoast area could not fix an intermittent misfire code. It was sporadic, so they'd do something, it would work for a week, and then my check engine light came right back on. Rinse and repeat. Nick immediately knew what the issue was, did the diagnostic anyway, and got my car actually repaired. They've also done a stage 2 clutch replacement and a stage 1 ECU tune, which I've also been more than happy with. In short, I'll be bringing my Golf R back should I need any more car work, because the service is not only cheaper, but they do great work.

I have been here a couple of times, and every time I talk on the phone or I drop my car off, (for an oil change and another small issue) they are polite, straightforward, and as I see it very honest! I would highly recommend them!

Nick has an incredible amount of knowledge when it comes to German autos. However, he also helped me out with some repairs to my dodge ram pickup truck. Everything he has done for me, or recommended for me has been spot on. I own a vintage Porsche with a lot of sentimental value and I would not hesitate to let Nick work on it. He is an impressive guy and I absolutely love going to the shop because it seems like he and his guys are always working on something cool. Thanks again for all your help Nick!!

Nick has the best understanding of tuning for the Audi platform in the Seacoast Area hands down. Full diagnosis, quick flash with a test drive to make sure it rips and quick turn around. Highly suggest Das Auto! Only place I will go.

I have been going to Nick for a little over a year. I Originally brought my car in for an ongoing emissions issue and no inspection for months which was then completely fixed with ease. Also being 20 years old I'm new to owning and maintaining my own German. I never feel like I'm getting overcharged and scammed, Nick purely wants to educate and prevent larger issues for his customers. There's also been a few times where I have been squeezed into the schedule for an emergency repair. Thanks to the whole DAS auto team! I will be a customer as long as I'm on the seacoast and highly recommend them for any issues. Also something to note if you're looking to modify you're car this Is the place to go they will know exactly what your car needs.

I just had an amazing experience at DAS Auto. Nick provided excellent service from our first communication. He was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They did a state inspection and an oil change for my Audi. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and gave me some great info on my car and future maintenance needs. I will definitely be bringing my car back for service/repairs.

If you and your vehicle want to be treated with the utmost respect and care go to das auto. I have a 2001 Golf that has been incredibly reliable due to das autos care and my personal obsession with my vehicle lol. Nick is freakin awesome. He is always answering my emails quickly putting my hyper focusing, overthinking brain at ease. Super safe environment being in Portsmouth, NH. I never have to worry leaving my car there overnight for a drop off if I can’t make it in the morning.

16 Gli. After I blew my engine with 27k on it, Nick found me a used engine with 29k. I was hesitant on going back to a stock engine due to all the issues I had with it. I am also extremely picky about my car. Nick spent the time to go through all the options with me, answered all my questions no matter how far out the questions were. Nick went through all the parts to change to insure I have the most reliable engine possible. 4 days later I was driving home with a car that was better then before the engine blew. After all the upgrades I did to the car it was still cheeper then going back to an all stock VW engine that would have failed me again. The guys at DAS auto are both honest, trustworthy and get the job done, fast and meticulously as well as at a great price. I can't say enough how pleased I am with the service I received. I highly recommend giving DAS auto a chance to be your go to shop, be it performance or stock. I guarantee you will be more then satisfied.

If you're tired of getting the run around by overpriced dishonest mechanics, DAS Auto is the place to go. I started going to them because they were recommended on VW forums as being experts on German vehicles. But they work on every make and model and now my whole office goes to them. They do all my auto work and I can't recommend them enough. Nick and Pete are expert mechanics and give you the best price possible for every job. Whenever they've finished a job under hours they've dropped the price accordingly. Give DAS a try and you'll never bring your vehicle anywhere else.

So i dropped off my tiguan to have the downpipe installed. The shop opened at 9, they called me at 1240 saying it was was completed and ready to go. Went to pick it up the staff was nice and informative. Everything about the expirience was very professional. I would recommend Das Auto to anyone who has German car needs from maitnance to tuning. If it says anything they are authorized APR, ECS, and airlift dealers/inatallers. All in all 5 stars.

I have brought my 2006 Audi A3 to DAS Auto for maintenance on a regular basis. These guys go above and beyond when it comes to doing work. They have done things from my timing belt, to tire rotations, and exhaust work - beating local competitors by a significant amount while using quality parts. The cumulative knowledge of Europeans Cars, Price and Quality of work makes this garage unbeatable in the Seacoast Area.

Highly Recommended!!!! After being pulled around by another local VW servicing center, DAS Auto Came in and saved the day! I have been taking my 2007 VW Rabbit to them for over two years now. There is no detail untold, they explain the process and reasonings for every piece or part they might need. I wouldn't take my VW to anyone else!!

DAS Auto helped us after we suffered a turbo failure on our road trip west. Not only do they know their foreign autos but they fitted us into their schedule and helped us get back on road the same day. It should be 6 stars!
