Still A Good Cause Thrift Shop

By mistake, I admit there was confusion from a phone call to this store and so I left a bad review. Thankfully, I can fix that now. I went in to see if I made any error because my instincts told me to recall the many places I had called about accepting donations/ clothing ..as my phone never works right and I believe I called a previous place which was handing me lies cause me confusion on-line. Anyway, THIS PLACE is a wonderful place and a good cause; they were extremely kind. They took all my items I was wanting to donate. If you want good quality and fair prices for clothes and household items, this is the store to go to. I hope the staff forgives me for the previous review. I feel terrible for mixing up the numbers and shaming the wrong place.

This is like the only thrift store in Portland that has actual thrift store prices. Although I haven't had much luck with clothing here, I always find fun things for my apartment. I've gotten a framed Saturday Evening Post print for $3 and a New Yorker print for around the same price!

Still A Good Cause Thrift Shop is one of the last of the affordable places people on fixed incomes can go to for clothing and other goods. And it's a perfect place to treasure hunt for anyone! With the rise of vintage and consignment shops in Portland, prices for second hand clothes are high in the city compared to this shop. It's unpretentious, friendly, and the items are always in great shape. I was very upset when the Salvation Army on Alder St closed because it was a much needed resource for the community. Good Cause is a nonprofit that supports various charities and the community by keeping prices down. It truly is a blessing.

Organized and displayed very nicely. Lots of vintage items and collectibles. The pricing varies. Some of the furniture has seen better days but you never know what you'll find! Everyday is something different. Staff is very nice and helpful. I recently found/bought 3 dresses at half off, a shirt, a couple nit nacs, a beer mug, and a vintage chair, all for 30 dollars total. Support this place with your donations, they care.

Always a great experience at the Forest Ave always still a good cause. I spend a lot of money there. All kinds of stuff, you never really know. Stop by frequently, because it is a good cause. I read about it. Always great service. P.s. Don't tell anyone because then a lot of people will go there because they have good stuff and then I won't be able to go there and buy good stuff because someone else will have already bought all the good stuff. This Thrift Shop is one of the few that supports a cause I can believe in (and doesn't advocate AGAINST groups like LGBT.)

There is always someone there to help me unload the car, offer-up a receipt promptly and thanks me for my generosity.

One of the most organized thrift store I've ever been to. Bright lighting clean and neat. Friendly and helpful volunteers happy to help.

I have found many, affordable treasures there.
Am now anxious to donate other treasures that may help them to profit and thereby stay in business.

I discovered this store, near our hotel (Estland, aka The Westin Portland Harborview). "Good Cause" is packed with treasures, and it supports care for homeless people in Portland.

A large well organized thrift shop with clothing, housewares, furniture, art...all the things you hope to find in a shop like this. The staff is always very friendly.

This store is a great place for bargains, lots of clothing some great furniture and a place to browse, always something new coming in. The owner and staff are great.
