I went by myself to try them out. Fantastic service, high quality food, you can select your spice level and the staff are just genuinely caring people.

I loved it so much I brought my extended family the next night and my mom tried genuine Thai food for the first time and loved it.

A big thank you to the staff for treating my family like your family. Keep it up!

After being recommended this spot multiple times, I took date night as the opportunity to try it out. Let me just say, I haven’t stopped thinking about this meal. We started out with the Moo Ping which was okay, and then enjoyed the Blossom Dumplings which was impossible not to devour in one bite. The star of this entire review is the Mee Ka Te which had a spicy curry broth that was unlike any other flavor I have had before. The service was fast and the Thai Tea was perfect. For sure, will be back.

So good! Food was delicious and SO fast! Our server was also excellent and he was very attentive. Cant wait to go back and try more food. Highly recommend the blossom dumplings, lobster rangoon and pad Thai!

This is the first time in 10+ years I’ve eaten dumplings because they were gluten free! The okra was simple but excellent and even the soft shell crab was GF! Thai tea was fresh and excellent, too.

Great meal! Everything was exceptional. We started with the Fresh Rolls (great flavors, loved the basil), Veg and Edamame Dumplings, and Chive Dumplings (very unique, excellent). The Pad Thai was the best ever. Drunken Noodles were very good. The massaman sauce with the Lion King was heavenly. 2 star spiciness was the right choice for us. The fried banana with vanilla ice cream was great.

We arrived early (around 5) on a Saturday and had the place to ourselves. Before we left, the place was getting busy. The service was exceptional as well. Highly recommend.

I love pad Thai and I get it anytime I go to a Thai restaurant at least for the first time because I think it says a lot about a Thai place if they can do a good job with a basic like pad Thai. This place has probably the best pad Thai I've ever had in the Portland area. It has such flavor with floral notes and savory notes.
This place is small and cute and the people are nice. The dumplings were delicious and my favorite were the chive ones. We ordered a flight of dumplings which means you get like 2 each of six different dumplings to try. Really fun experience. I hope to go again and I want to order dessert first because I got so full I didn't get to have any. My pad Thai serving, besides being absolutely delicious, was a really large serving and I've taken half of it home for lunch tomorrow.

A perfect meal! All of the food was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and the chef came out to speak to us. The short rib massaman curry was so good, I could drink it! It’s just up the street from Honey Paw and is just as excellent, if not better!

Cute tiny place offering an explosion of flavor. I tried their Pad Kra Pow and it is amazing! It is sweet, salty and spicy (I got level 5-which is max-and it's medium spicy for my Indonesian palate) But it's just so so good. Their thai coffee is as it should, bittersweet and creamy. Super refreshing. The staff are sweet. As much as I want to explore maine culinary, I think it will be very difficult not to comebcak here every time.

Delicious cocktails, great service, and lots of gluten free options! It was such a treat to have dumplings with gluten free soy sauce. Appreciate having a labeled menu for easy ordering. The Thai Iced Tea cocktail was amazing, the lemongrass margarita was also great. They have a good happy hour too so stop by early.

We stumbled into happy hour here and it was great! Drink specials + $1 dumplings with a variety to choose from. We came back a second time in our trip to enjoy! The inside is very nice- clean, nice decor, very nice bar. Highly recommend!

The blossom dumplings were so incredible that I ate slow small bites to prolong the experience.

The textures of the Nam Khao Tod was like a party in my mouth.

Notable: Subtle flavors in food and drinks really impressed me.

10/10 for presentation
10/10 flavor and texture balance
10/10 service and friendliness
10/10 environment !

Off to our next place do travel. I will never ever forget this place.

Ask for Buna, he made this experience top notch for us.

Dok Mali is a Thai restaurant in Portland, Maine that opened in 2022. It is located in the India Street neighborhood, near the Old Port. The restaurant is known for its street food-inspired dishes, as well as its dim sum.

The menu at Dok Mali features a wide variety of Thai dishes, including curries, stir-fries, and noodle dishes. There are also several vegetarian and vegan options available. The restaurant's signature dish is the Lion King, a stir-fry with shrimp, chicken, and vegetables. Other popular dishes include the Pad Thai, the Tom Yum Goong soup, and the Khao Soi curry.

I've eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants in Maine (Veranda Thai, Orchid Thai, Thai Garden, and Best Thai 2) and I can honestly say this is the best Thai I've had. The Gyoza were perfectly crispy and cooked with a dipping sauce rich in green onion flavor. The Strawberry Sour drink was DELICIOUS with a smooth, slightly foamy consistency thanks to the egg white. Those were all incredible, but the Pineapple Fried Rice was still the standout! It had a lovely curry flavor and was so, so good. It was enough food for a dinner and a lunch, since we had the appetizer. The interior was small, with about 6-8 spaces at the bar and a bit more table seating. We got there before 5:30 to snag an early table and the timing was great--the restaurant was pretty much filled by 6 pm (on a Saturday). I highly recommend; we will definitely be eating here again!

Tasty food. Quick service. Unique cocktail menu. Perfect portion size. Attentive staff. Detailed attention to meal preparation and presentation. Dok Mali was perfect. I loved the whole meal! I had mixed vegetables with shrimp, brown rice, and a pot of hot Thai tea (all pictured). My partner got the spicy cashew chicken minus the vegetables and very much enjoyed it! For my part, I could go on for a long time about how great the vegetables were (variety, appearance, doneness), but instead I will go on about the perfection of Dok Mali's brown rice. Yes -- brown rice. This is the first time I ever had brown rice that tasted good at a restaurant. The rice is a short, plump grain cooked by someone who knew what they were doing. It's safe to say I over-raved at my server about how wonderful my meal was. I highly recommend Dok Mali!

Came in just before the lunch crowd starting rolling in. Food came fast. Lunch special was delicious, perfectly spiced (at a 3 out of 5 for me!) and the vegetable tempura, which usually feels like a cop out side dish to me, was really nice. Just enough crispness. Not heavy or doughy. Drunken noodles with chicken was completely on point. I’m so satisfied and surprised it was so easy to get in!

Located on a corner, only blocks from the wharf and near a few other popular Portland restaurants, this is one not to miss. It's quaint, with limited seating and a small bar. Trust us, it's worth the wait if there is one. We've been three times since they've opened and have enjoyed every meal we've had. This Sunday afternoon, we opted for the noodle soups. I went with the Thai Noodle Soup, and my partner ordered Khao Soi. Both were full of flavor! The Khao Soi is bone in, so don't forget to ask for an extra plate. Both dishes will be ordered again in the future. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

Came here on a Sunday night for a party of 10 and was seated right away! Asian food in Maine??? Yay!!!! Love the seafood but after 5 days of Maine dishes, we were due for some Asian food again.

We got everything from okra to the “Lion King” to traditional dishes like pad Thai and sticky mango rice … no complaints from anyone! (Disclaimer: we had an all-Asian Crew and have had countless times in our lives.)

Decent amount of choices for my vegetarian child - tofu pad Thai, papaya salad, veggie & edamame dumplings…

Service - great as well! Didn’t have to wait long for anything!!

If you just need a night off from Maine seafood then this is an excellent spot!
