Love this unpretentious gem of good eating in downtown. When the cashier describes the potatoes as "just a tater tot kind of thing," understand that it will be the most fantastic tater tot that exists on the planet. Gave 5 stars for atmosphere but understand: that is because it is plain and normal cafeteria decor, which I really appreciate in the over-chic landscape of crazy foodie culture. Our new favorite.

Spectacular breakfast. The crispy chicken with sausage gravy was savory and delicious. The Portland breakfast plate was perfect, my lady asked for crispy bacon and they absolutely delivered!!

We LOVE Dutch’s. We eat here every Saturday morning and have not had 1 bad experience. Their bread is made in house and during the summer they bring in fresh produce from around the local area. Their blueberry jam is amazing I get it every time to put on my bagel. Their pastries are also made in house. The blueberry muffin is a staple and they feature 2 donuts every weekend that rotate flavors. I have not had the same donut twice since July. It does get pretty hot in the summer time in there but a lot of places around Portland don’t have A/C. We will be moving soon and we’ll definitely miss this place! Definitely try this place. Also, if you come at 10 or after be prepared for a line out the door. It can sometimes take up to a half hour to get to the front counter where you place your order. Enjoy!

Recommend: Crispy hash browns, grilled banana bread with butterscotch sauce!, and any of the pastries but especially the blueberry muffin.

Love it. My wife and I go here most weekends. I always order the spicy chicken biscuit with a side of hash browns. The entire ensemble is excellent. My wife gets the corn turkey hash or avocado toast - both also excellent. Go on the weekends when they offer the best homemade donuts in town - different every week. The specials are always special. Everything is home-made.

Went for breakfast and got very tasty bloody Mary's and antioxidant screwdrivers. The food is very tasty. The biscuits have a slightly sweet taste that goes along with the savory foods. Overall experience was amazing. Oh and hashbrowns are perfect! Never had any like that! Good job.

Decadent and delicious homestyle eats. Everything is good but the biscuit breakfast sandwiches and crispy hash browns are the stars of the menu. Casual spot with plenty of room and friendly service. Definitely stop by if you get a chance!

It's going to sound like hyperbole, but this was absolutely the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had (and I'm a breakfast restaurant junkie). We ordered a bagel sandwich and biscuit sandwich, as well as some of their pastries, and coffees. They had a few add-on styles on their menu that weren't explained anywhere, I'd suggest they explain what the add-ons mean. Coffees were made immediately, and food was brought to our table within minutes. The biscuit looked to be made in-house, not sure about the bagel, but both were incredible. They weren't greasy, and the ingredients weren't sliding out like a typical breakfast sandwich. My wife and I were astounded at how good they were, the cheese in particular was flavorful. We loved it so much we went twice!

My wife and I have been regulars since the first day they opened. This place is not to be missed during a trip to Portland. Everything is made with love and taste like it came out of your mother’s kitchen - assuming she was a master chef.

DO NOT MISS THE TRADITIONAL BREAKFAST SANDWICH. BEST ON THE PLANT!!!!!! My favorite - egg/homemade English muffin/maple sausage/cheddar. You’ll be amazed at how incredibly delicious such a simple sandwich can taste.

Never disappointed! Dutch's is hands Down the best breakfast joint in town. It is great for a hangover cure, comfort food, or something a little out of the ordinary. Don't worry it's also got your traditional go-tos!

Awesome simple and delicious breakfast. Prices are really good for better than expected food! Their biscuits and gravy were stupendous with fresh biscuits and mouth watering gravy. Their smoked salmon bagel was also fantastic.

I loved this place. The food was amazing! I had a wonderful savory danish with apple, sauerkraut and swiss. They make their own home fries that were great. And a broccoli hash was also good. And they had all the breakfast basics. Good sweets.
The atmosphere is casual (not snobby).
I highly recommend this place.

Originally I was forced to Miss Portland, but fortunately, their service was slow/understaffed and the line/wait was too long; it forced us to find another accommodation. My brilliant hipster wannabe friend stumbled upon Dutch’s on google reviews, and it was the best thing to happen to us all day.

We found a table that seated our large group immediately and the line moved quickly. I ordered the Portland breakfast for $12.5 with eggs over medium, bacon and biscuits. The portioning was perfect, I was not overstuffed and I was not hungry. The eggs were cooked nicely with some yellow goo oozing out. The bacon was crispy and tasty. The biscuits seemed to be well made and paired well with the blueberry jam and grass fed butter. Finally, the hash browns were GD hearty as F. Crispy on the outside and smooth and filling on the inside. My dining companion said, “This is probably one of the best hash browns I’ve ever had” … and she goes to Columbia. So obviously she is right. Best breakfast at a wonderful location in a nice city. Will be back.

Really cool spot! Food was delicious and the staff were all very friendly. Spicy chicken biscuit hit the spot! Didn’t have room for the pastries but they all looked amazing

Fun atmosphere, quiet unassuming on the surface but clearly well-thought out. Some of the best hash browns ever, house made hot sauce (house made everything!), amazing biscuits and gravy. Would recommend to anyone in town for breakfast or brunch. Head and shoulders above your average breakfast joint, with great prices.

Truly the best places to get breakfast in Portland and one of my favorite places in the whole World! I love this place and the vibe of the restaurant is truly unique.

Much nicer than the pictures here show. Has a cool diner vibe with a mountain/outdoor theme. Much better than your average diner quality food though. Coffee is just drip/pot coffee, so grab a coffee somewhere else if you're after a nice espresso.

Another great breakfast at Dutch's! Be prepared to wait in line to order. It'll give you plenty of time to read the menu on the wall and change your mind several times. :) My favorite are the biscuits. They are split and grilled on one side. Perfect to add more butter or jelly. I ordered an extra biscuit this time to feed-the-need. The food flavors are great and you'll leave satisfied.

Breakfast was good and filling. Definitely a good way to start a brutally cold day in Portland. Prices are fair and the place was spacious, tidy, and cozy. If you are visiting, you can buy a nice mug as a souvenir, which also comes with a small bag of popcorn.

There is paid street parking available and we got lucky on our second attempt at finding a spot.

Easy takeout experience and everything is incredibly tasty. We got blueberry pancakes, coffee, hashbrowns (crisp outside, fluffy inside) traditional on muffin and not so traditional on everything. Outstanding food and we're already planning our next visit. Loading up on the hot sauce too.
