The 101 Diner

First time in and I really enjoyed it. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. I like it without lettuce tomato and onion but that's how it comes if not specified. They had no issue with my request. It wasn't too busy and the service was fast and kind. Ask for Katie! She was great. Cool atmosphere too. Highly recommend. Will be back!

Fantastic Brunch restaurant. The waitress was fast and funny, food came out quickly, and everything tasted amazing. Highly recommend!

We came for Sunday lunch. We had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. Service was a tad on the slow side, which is expected since it was so busy. But our server was really friendly and attentive. I had the Louisiana Sausage Benedict and hubby got they blueberry banana pancakes combo. We also had a raspberry shake. Everything was delicious

It was late and we didn't know where to eat. As we walked along the street, we noticed that place, and thank we give it a go. The food was delicious.

Awesome food awesome atmosphere. Little gem. It's small inside, but packs a huge punch! Expect a little bit of a wait time on the weekends for breakfast but the wait is well worth it! They have a few tables outside and our party enjoyed having our breakfast outside in sunny California. The food was GREAT! The 3 of us all decided to get something different and we all sampled each other's. Everything was delicious. The fresh fruit bowl over sorbet with fresh granola was amazing.. the biscuits and gravy were amazing.. the corned beef hash, the eggs Benedict.. all amazing. Trust me when I say you won't be disappointed after visiting the 101 diner. It's also located on a nice strip with a bunch of cute little shops where you can do some shopping after you eat. Enjoy!

Really great spot for breakfast in downtown Encinitas. I got a cheesy omelette with toast and coffee (my fave breakfast) and the waitress was really sweet and checked on us multiple times. Definitely stop here for some breakfast if you get the chance!

Love this breakfast Diner. Food is always good and delivered quickly. They have amazing benedicts and specialty pancakes. They serve THE BEST crab cakes that I have had anywhere. I always make it a point to stop by here for a quick bite when I'm in the area.

What a wonderful hole in the wall diner in Old Encinitas! The staff is nice and the food was beyond amazing! Never had a better omelet before! They also have fun art all over the walls! Our children loved the food here as well. They also have a great selection of hot sauces that you don't see a lot. Also, after you eat you can walk down to the beach!

Seriously so delicious! Fresh squeezed orange juice, huge menu with unique versions of popular breakfast options. Lots of egg and omelette options along with daily fresh specials. Price is about what you'd expect for the area but quality and portion size is worth it.

I had banana nut peanut butter chocolate stuffed french toast.

Came for breakfast around 8:30am on a Friday, and it wasn’t too crowded. We got lucky and found a parking spot right in front, but parking does seem fairly limited. Was able to easily find a seat on the outside patio, and was quickly greeted with friendly service. The menu seemed to have a lot of good options, but I landed on the Carnitas Benedict. The pairing of the spicy chipotle hollandaise with the cool avocado perfectly complemented the carnitas! The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the potatoes were nice and crispy. My dad got the Surf and Turf Benedict, which was also delicious. Loved the food, and would definitely come again to try out another dish!

Great diner food! Stopped in for breakfast on a Tuesday and sat at the counter. Was entertaining to watch them cook. Food was tasty and coffee was great.

Looked up best breakfast places in Encinitas and this diner came up…definitely didn’t disappoint!! Always weary in ordering corned beef hash at restaurants, and this was by far the most delicious I’ve had. My husband who doesn’t eat this dish, had to try it when he saw it…was impressed!! He ordered an Im letter and could barely finish it…the potatoes are amazing too! Friendly service, delicious food, great portions for a great price. A must go to if Encinitas! Wil be back for sure.

Sure awesome place, I have been going there for the last 6 years. I drive from forgotten San Diego to encinitas on Sundays just for their breakfast. Such a chill and can kind of place. The best part is the food, I honestly love third cooking their. It's tasty and healthy at the same time. I highly recommend you check it out. JM

I eat lunch here on the weekends a lot. Staff and atmosphere is so laid back. Love it.

101 Diner is a great diner for breakfast. The service is great, with lots of staff checking in often. Food comes out really quick. Their dishes are cooked well and are large portions. The eggs benedict are really good. Definitely worth a stop for breakfast.
