Veranda Thai Cuisine

Veranda Thai makes delicious food--full stop. The fried rice has a rich taste with plenty of vegetable and sweet BBQ pork. We always order it, but we enjoy every item we try.

The Go to place for Pad Thai or red curry cravings. Fast preparation(15/20mins), organized and most of all delicious. Lots of Thai food in Portland area and Veranda is a standout. We’ve noticed a significant improvement in service and loving the order online option.

This place has the BEST drunken noodles. Sweet, smoky, savory, spicy, delicious! I love the fresh veggies and the pineapple is sensational in this dish. Their pad Thai is also excellent - good amount of sauce (I hate dry and flavorless pad Thai) and the crushed peanuts and fresh lemon wedge take it up a notch.

Wow. I kind of didn't have high expectations for this place but man am I glad I decided to stop here. Up there with some of the best Pad Thai I've ever had. I ate in the restaurant and the server was very polite. I did not have to approach the counter to leave. Great service, great food.

Everything about this place is amazing, I’ve only tried 2 amazing meals which were the pad Thai and the chicken/ rice with veggies. The Thai tea is amazing and the sauces are tasty, also, shout out to the blond cashier! If you are reading this review may god bless you and guide you💕!

Great Thai food that is very reasonably priced in the Greater Portland area! Compared to other area restaurants, Veranda Thai is about $3 cheaper per meal. It is also really tasty and a large quantity! I ordered Pad Thai with chicken and my husband ordered the Veranda Fried Rice and both were really excellent, giving us a dinner and lunch's worth of meals. Online ordering was also super easy. We will definitely get takeout here again!

Kind of a hole-in-the-wall Thai place with surprisingly good food for a very reasonable price. Mixed plate appetizer was very tasty, and my wife really liked the tofu pad Thai, and my daughter liked the Veranda fried rice.
Looks like most of their business is take-out, but there are a few tables for dining in.
Across the street from Veranda noodle bar (pho), and an ice cream stand.
Limited parking, plus on-street.

Jessica was an amazing server and brought out our food in a timely manner.
The food tasted authentic and delicious! I ordered Orange Chicken, Red Curry with Chicken, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles and Chicken Fried Rice.
The atmosphere was very welcoming.

The service was absolutely phenomenal in a cozy casual atmosphere and the food was delicious. The serving sizes are large. The scallop massaman curry had plenty of scallops and crisp vegetables in a sweet savory curry sauce. The tofu pad Thai was made spicy just like I ordered (a 4), the tofu was firm, crisp on the outside, and pillowy on the inside, and the noodles were perfectly cooked.

Love the Drunken noodles! Had fresh roll. You have to now ask for the peanut sauce with peanuts to go. They are using a peanut dip instead.

Super nice super polite super fast and even gave me free dumplings! ☺❤

The food was delicious and fresh. The service was great. Try the Shrimp to Scallops dinner. If I could leave 10 stars, I would!

Not much from the outside but my compliments to the chef.

Good food, large portions and reasonable prices. For 6 people, we ordered 4 dishes and 2 apps with leftovers for another day

Appetizers, Platter for One and Fresh Veggie Spring Roll with main of Drunken Noodles with Grilled Jumbo Shrimp. AWESOME ALL !! I mean really good !! Excellent service healthy portions and just a delicious dinner for two. Looking forward to trying the Noodle Bar across the street tomorrow night !!!

Nice staff, great food, Love the crispy duck with noodles.Very good spring rolls, fresh and fried. My favorite take out lunch when I come down to Portland. Call ahead to pick up at door and go!

The food and the dine-in service are fantastic. One quandary that the owners will have to resolve is the problem of where the carry-out delivery driver must stand as they wait for the Door Dash order to be packaged.

Covid brought on this boom of take-out, but for the few patrons that do choose to dine-in, when seating is sufficient, one has to attempt to enjoy their meal while delivery drivers stare at your table while they wait for their order to be cooked and compiled into a bag.

No one wants to eat for an audience. It doesn't take away from the quality of the food, so I still recommend the restaurant. However, I must have seen, easily, 12 different Door Dash drivers come in, stand, wait, and stare while my cluster of friends and I attempyed to enjoy our selections. A very strange experience, and definitely not what I paid for. Good for the restaurant that delivery business is booming, but an significant irritation for dine-in patrons. The weather is warming up, so one can only hope the owners boot the drivers outside while they wait for pick-up orders.

The staff are always great, and they deserve to have one more in their number because the dinner rush warrants it. But we all know restaurateurs try to run operations as lean as possible.

I have never had a bad experience here. The place is highly recommended and practically awarded one of the best places to eat in Portland every year. If you've never had Thai food before this is definitely a great place to go, and if you have had Thai food then you'll know how lucky you are to have found Veranda Thai Cuisine.

Outstanding food and value. Seafood dishes are fresh and tast great. We always get takeout.
