Newport Jazz Festival

2023, first timer. What an experience! You soon know that you can't hear every band, but every band you hear will be great. Excellent organization, many water stations, not quite enough shade areas for this year's weather (but we feared rain on Friday! ). Kudos to the many volunteers that make it happen. 8/1/21. 2021 Newport Jazz Festival featured 30 performers, The founder George Win 95, spoke from New York to introduce Marvis Staple and Andra Day. There were a great line up to fit everyone. There was plenty of food and gifts sold. They ran out of T shirts. The weather was fantastic. The sail boats in the back ground enhanced the melodic vibe. Can't wait for 2022!

Great Day at the Fort. VIP access and amenities were terrific and well worth it from the parking to the shaded tent with complimentary lobster rolls, salads and grilled chicken all day and a cash bar facing the main stage. George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic closed the Festival for 2018 and had the crowd wound up.

I loved everything. From the food (JAPatty), the vibes. The music was top tier. I missed some acts but it was all worth it. Will be there next year. Such a great time.

Only suggestion have a wider variety of alcoholic drinks for those that don't drink beer or Truly. One Cider! There's so many you could of had especially when you can only drink in the Beer Garden.
Other than that perfection!!! I really had the best time.

I joined a group of my old friends and some new friends there. Had a great time.

A "must do" for all jazz lovers. The park is an eclectic mix of ages, classes, and ethnicities all who become neighbors for one weekend a year. Find a spot, sir, dance, sleep, or visit, the choice is yours.

3 years now going. It is my happy place. For all that love some brassy beats this festival is a must. It's unparalleled in atmosphere, located on the water with remarkable views. All you need is a good lawn chair with some shade to take in the fresh air and amazing music. I typically go into it each year not knowing any of the artist but fall in love with a new band each year. The food trucks are great. 2 tents for oysters. There is definitely something for everyone here.

I had a blast at this event! It was my first time attending. On Friday, 8/2, I attended the event at the Tennis Hall of Fame. It was a very well done event. I was surprised to see Corrine Bailey Rae and all the guest appearances. On Sunday, 8/4, the fun continued. Although it was a very hot day, there were places to escape the heat and catch some amazing performances. Although I brought a chair with me, I hardly used it-due to going from stage to stage to see the various performances. So, the pics is the main stage where Common closed out the night.

Newport is the best! Great music, perfect setting.

This was my first time visiting Rhode Island. I stayed in Providence and ubered to the Festival everyday. I had an awesome time. Newport was beautiful and the venue was perfect. I also went to some great restaurants at the end of each night. Will be going back!

Newport Jazz Festival year 65 went all out. When I saw the line up I knew I had to be there. It did not disappoint. There were 3 stages plus a small room for intimate performances. It was nice to utilize the courtyard inside of the fort. The big stage is always a hit surrounded by water views. It's just so beautiful with all the boats going by. The acts were amazing and the weather was perfect. It is a must do for any music lover.

Wow ! Was visiting the area and needed a wax. Found D M waxing thru a search and am so happy I chose her. Dana was fantastic ! Very professional, her studio was very clean and no double dipping ! Next time I come down I will definetly look her up again.
