Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, they gave us practical tips that saved a lot of time- I recommend to visit the Visitor Information Center first before going to places of interest- especially if you are on a limited time.

As I local, I can personally attest that the Visitor's Center offers a plethora of information and suggestions for attractions, lodging, entertainment and dining!

Nice info from them. One issue is finding their place in the strip mall AFTER you figure out where to park. Parking is the most daunting issue with visiting Newport. Lots can run $30 all day if you can find an open one. "Metered" slots are $2 an hour up to 3 hours at a time. They also apparently close for a lunch hour if only one employee is on duty.

Lots if information available, a little disappointing that it is only open from 10-5. I think it be helpful to be open by 9.
