The classic Wolf Trap, home to so many concerts that I attend each year. A very cozy and spacious place, you can treat yourself indoors or if you prefer to have a picnic in its large garden. World-class artists have paraded through this venue. Totally recommended. A+👍👍👍

We saw The Avett Brothers play and it was such an amazing venue. The sound was amazing, the staff is wonderful, it's an awesome atmosphere... the only thing I could complain about would be cramped seats, but it is what is is. I don't know what the lawn seats are like but I do know that the sound was great and there were large screens for viewing. There is a bit of a walk for parking but there are carts to drive those to help those from the lot to the gate who need it. It was a magical night and everyone should experience the Filene Center at Wolf Trap once, if they can.

The Filene Center at Wolf Trap is an amazing venue, even on a hot, sticky summer night.
Love the lawn area, concessions are actually decent quality with a good variety of options (not many for vegans but some nontheless).
Great experience, great show, overall highly recommend!

Went for Joe Hisaishi Symphonic Concert last Friday. Sold out show! It’s a great venue for live events. While we could only get lawn seats, I think having the flexibility to sit wherever you wants it’s a great thing. We sat close to the concession stands and walk around freely. Awesome place!

I've been to several concerts at wolftrap and it is an awesome experience each time. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Parking is a bit of a challenge when leaving the venue, however it is free and not that bad considering how close it is to the highway. I Highly recommend and will continue to return as the prices are competitive and the venue is always a good idea.

I visited on a Wednesday evening to watch a rock music concert and was reminded of how great a venue the Filene Center happens to be. The park remains very well maintained and staffed by mostly volunteers handling seating directions and general assistance to patrons. The concession stands seem well run with not too long lines for food. The souvenir stands likewise were well run with lines kept to only a few people and transactions handled expeditiously after the show. The venue itself remains quite clean, and crowds tend to behave themselves and be polite for the most part. The volunteers seem friendly and ready to help. I was directed to my seat rather quickly, even as one volunteer thought of a less intruding way for me to get to my seat than another. The acoustics in the center are more than appealing to watch any kind of show, and lawn seating can provide another satisfying experience to listen and see performers on big screens outside the center.

I would recommend wearing ear protection if sitting in the venue, as volumes can be as loud as indoor arenas for rock and other concerts. Jazz performances by contrast do not carry as loud a sound inside and can be heard nicely without ear protection. I also recommend patience with parking no matter what time you get to the venue and try to leave. One of the few drawbacks to this location happens to be how its popularity brings a great many cars for the limited on-site parking. Street parking up to ten minutes walk from the center can be a good alternative for later arrivals.

Overall I can think of few more delightful ways to take in the performing arts outside of the major city theaters than the Filene Center at Wolf Trap and plan to join the throngs who already know.

Recently attended a show here. We purchased lawn tickets and brought lawn chairs and snacks and beverages (including alcohol). My friend accidentally ordered tickets for the day (same show both days) but went to Will Call upon arrival (she had emailed earlier in the day once she realized what she’d done) and they gave her the correct days tickets, and I was worried bc I thought I’d have to meet my bf at the gate with his ticket but I went to Will Call and they held a printed ticket for him to pick up, both interactions were seamless and the workers were so helpful and nice!! Security was also super friendly and quick to get through. My advice: Bring your alcoholic beverages if you can! The drinks they sold there were as expensive as any other venue: $14 for a 12 ounce can of beer!
Thanks Wolf Trap for being so accommodating and welcoming and for a wonderful show!

I love Wolf Trap, and go there at least once or twice a year. It's one of my favorite venues, and the Filene Center is gorgeous.

It's absolutely stunning to be sitting inside in comfort, watching the rain outside, seeing the crew raise the canvas to block the rain. It's just a very nice place to be. The sound is amazing, and the park is really just beautiful.

We arrived at 6:45 for a 7:30 show so the main lot was full. They sent us to the other lot across the highway. They were shuttling folks that didn't want to make the long walk. A very nice park ranger lady drove us door to door up and back. Awesome!! Very impressive set up, The staff was great and so was the sound. Can't wait to go back!!

Went to a concert while visiting family. This was our first experience with the Wolf Trap and it was fantastic. We sat on the green and brought our own stadium/camp seats (no legs) and were very comfortable. The seats available for rent did look quite comfy and would consider doing that next time. Concessions on site were good but would recommend bringing your own food to save on cost. All in all an awesome time.

A lovely place to see open air concerts. The lawn is amazing in good weather, and you can bring your own food and drink there. The covered Pavillion is for when you're a big fan or you don't want to get rained on. I always love seeing shows here!

Great concert venue. If you are ok for a short walk…park at the barns. James Taylor and his talented band were awesome.

Last minute decision to see Australian Pink Floyd. Despite the seats in the highest rows, we enjoyed the sound and sites. It was a well organized venue with helpful and friendly staff. Great place to see your favorite artists.

Fantastic venue whether you are on the lawn or seats. Get there well before gates open for popular shows to get a good lawn spot.

Couldn't tell you how many times over the years I've been here. A first class building, the staff are always so friendly. Great shows, the latest, Lyle Lovett and His Large Band along with the NSO.

Always great. So blessed to have the country's only national park for the performing arts in our backyard. The performances range from rock to Bach, even theatrical engagements. Food is good, though you're welcome to bring your own. Note that cooler size is now limited, as some were getting out of control. One of the special perks is that you're allowed to bring your own beverages. And if you run out, they'll sell you more.

Amazing venue! Lots of space on the courtyard area - food, drinks, vendors and I was also pleasantly surprised by the screens everywhere and sound system. We had seats in the inner section and had an amazing view of the stage. Will definitely back to see more shows here!

I saw the queen of hip hop Lauryn Hill. Back stage area is amazing and the accommodations below are first class. Obama and family rolled though. We missed them by two seconds. ❤

The Filene Center, aka Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, is a wonderful place to see live music. It's a beautiful venue, made nearly entirely of wood, with a covered pavilion and an elevated lawn. The sound is pretty good, and the sight lines INSIDE the pavilion are good, but be warned, if you're in the upper lawn area, you will not be able to see the stage. Parking is plentiful, and should be included in the price of your ticket, but be prepared for a long walk to and from your car. If you have people with difficulty walking a fair distance, uphill, consider looking into accessible parking. You can bring your own food and drinks if you're on the lawn, but no food is allowed inside the pavilion, and you have to buy a $6 souvenir cup to bring drinks into the pavilion. Check the website for specifics on what you can or cannot bring into the venue.
