Little Hunan

Little Hunan is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. My wife found it as she went to deliver a package to a pail office next to the restaurant, and we decided to try it (after checking that it had a good rating on Google, of course).
We loved the food and service. The place wasn’t busy, but we went at around 3 p.m. on a Saturday. My favorite dish was the beef with mushrooms—it was delicious! We’re adding it to our rotation.

Very friendly owners, kind, humble, & hospitable. Big portion size - very generous. It was about 1pm on a Sunday. I asked for the dinner-size Sesame Chicken, and the Szechuan Beef to go. It was ready in just 10 minutes & well packaged!!! They came with a huge serving of fried rice. It was all very, very good. Great cook, great service, great serving size, very fair and reasonably priced ($27.00). I Will definitely return 🤗 A quick edit: It looks like they gave me Sesame Beef instead of what I ordered (Szechuan Beef). But, honestly, it was very good, too. No complaints. Took me 3 days to finish it all due to the very generous portion size! Very happy!

I re-viseted Little Hunan after 8 years. The food is still fantastic, and the same family still owns the business. I always love their hot and sour soup.

Some of the best Chinese food you'll get for the money. It's always tasty, good portions, and comes out fast. The eggrolls are the best I've had in Dallas, and they're homemade on site. Occasionally you'll see the matriarch rolling them on a Sunday afternoon. I've had everything on the lunch menu, and everything has been good. Sriracha on the table helps you make it as spicy as you like.

Here are my ratings on all the specials. These are of course based on my own tastes, so you may enjoy them more or less than me. I will continue filling these out throughout the year, as I work my way down the menu.

It's a family owned restaurant. I have been a regular customer and have always liked this place. All their stir fried dishes are good, some of the other dishes are hit and miss sometimes. Its not fine dining and gives feeling of fast food style seating; however it's spacious and prices are low.

The service here is so nice and thoughtful. It’s the most underrated restaurant in my opinion. Me and my family love it so much.
Little Hunan is very wholesome and cute. The food is very good and they make it very fast. It’s one of those places that make you feel pure and good inside. 10/10 no doubt!

Tried Little Hunan for the very first time and the food didn’t disappoint. Haven’t found a place with good egg foo young since I lived in Chicago but this place is excellent and will have to make my new “go to” spot for Chinese cuisine. Try their shrimp fried and vegetable rice and shrimp egg foo young...hearty portions and generous shrimp everything was fresh with a classic, authentic Chinese flavor! A must try if you’re in the Plano area. Oh and the egg rolls were good too

Amazing food!!! I would highly recommend good portions and very friendly staff :) great atmosphere and they make ordering takeout very easy. I recommend going to the restaurant instead of ordering delivery to support our communities wonderful food 🍴😍

first time coming here and was not disappointed! everything is so fresh! lo-mein, sesame chicken and orange chicken w wonton soup are amazing! friendly and attentive staff.

Very best Hunan style food in town. Long-time Family run businesses are very nice and pleasant to interact with. Their Hunan Beef and Kung Pao Chicken and Orange Beef are fantastic. Their egg rolls are very good as well. Give them a try. I think you will agree.

Great family owned restaurant. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Crab Rangoon and Pot Stickers are great appetizers. Wonton soup is superb and has (we think) medicinal qualities. Spicy Broccoli Shrimp is my new favorite.

Food was incredibly delicious. My favorite was their hot and sour soup. I also had mapo tofu and combo fried rice. Wish I took photos but we ate it all. Hats off for the chef. I also love their interior decor with cute family photos. Thank you Little Hunan, xie xie.

Best Chinese restaurant for your money. Reasonable prices, bigger portions than other restaurants. All items are delicious and full of flavor. Fast and friendly service.

Can't get enough of this wonderful place. Food is great and the service is excellent.
