On The Bend Oyster Bar and Cigar Lounge

Didn’t get any food this time. I have a weird thing with if I can’t see the ocean I can’t eat raw seafood. Growing up on Long Island though I’ll eat raw seafood all day… sushi is another story… I digress. The cigar lounge is wonderful! The service is also amazing. I came during the slow time so not a lot of folks but Augustine was a superb host! Come on down! Bring a cigar! Buy a cigar! Have a drink! Have multiple drinks! Listen to music! Watch the boats of people go by and wave at them! Also I spent some time here so don’t look at what I spent as a negative drinks are well priced for being on the river walk! I lied I’m getting the oysters. Will report back. I had the oysters on the half shell. Fresh and delicious! Not removing my 5 star review because it is worth it. Come down have some oysters have a cigar have a bunch of drinks talk to people you don’t know, have a good time! Sorry I didn’t take photos I’m not as good at that as other folks.

Best live music joint for jazz, blues, and pop on the San Antonio Riverwalk. Food and drinks were good, but this venue is all about the music. The band stage is footsteps away from the river and is a great place to sit and have a drink, or stop , and have a listen as you are walking by. Check it out.

Very nice food, atmosphere, and decent service (especially for San Antonio). Even though they have a limited seating outside we were sitted immediately and were served promptly. The food was pretty good, including osters, sashimi, ceviche, and Mac and cheese. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious! Our server Art was very attentive and friendly. Manager on duty named Bud was also nice and polite. Definitely recommend salmon

Love the Cigar deck! Where else can you enjoy a cigar and good food and people watch. Chicken Etouffee is great. Margherita pizza is delicious. Side salad was huge. Service was great. Fans kept us cool and comfortable.

I gotta say, On the Bend Oyster Bar and Lounge on the RiverWalk in San Antonio, TX, was an absolute gem! Our server Agustin went above and beyond to make sure we had a top-notch time. I ordered the Caramel Martini, and it was like a sip of tropical paradise. And don’t even get me started on the gumbo – it had just the right amount of kick to it. If you’re in San Antonio, this place is a must-visit! Big shoutout to Agustin for his five-star service – he made the experience even better. Cheers! 🍸🍤🌟

Best spot on the river walk especially if you are a cigar smoker! I’m sure the food is great too but didn’t eat here. Live jazz cigars, old fashions and epic atmosphere. Well done!

Great bar and restaurant within the Hyatt San Antonio Riverwalk hotel. Located on the lower level of the hotel and close to the riverwalk area as well. They serve some of the best seafood on their menu from fish to oysters.

What a great location at the Riverwalk!! We were lucky enough to grab a table at the outside bar with a table overlooking the water and right in front of their great jazz band.

Hands down my favorite dish was the very unique Oyster Muffaletta that combines two of the foods I love most...and yes, this oyster tastes just like that famous New Orleans sandwich.

Second favorite dish was the Oyster Kilpatrick...also a very unique twist on a baked oyster & very delicious.

We had a great time & will definitely go back again next time I'm looking for a great meal & time in San Antonio!!

Visited here during a work trip with a co-worker and then had to gather the rest of our team to come back. NESSA our server was awesome and kept us filled with drinks and fun conversation. Great band with trumpet, keyboard, bass and drums that sang all the classics (seemingly New York focused) but were amazing. Didn't have any food but the drinks and service were great.

We went on a Friday night got sat quickly although it seemed really busy. We sat outside, it was a cool night they had heaters, our waitress was kind enough to let us move closer to the heater. They had a jazz musician playing. We enjoyed him a lot. Overall we’re enjoyed ourselves. The oysters Rockefeller were good. The flat bread pizza was soggy.

Chris, Damion made our lunch experience very, satisfying. The professionalism they gave us was out of this world.

Went in for some oysters and man I'm happy we did. Delicious and fresh, my buddy ordered the short rib and he said it was fantastic. I got a pound of some tasty shrimp, service was great and the music was an awesome addition to a great night on the Riverwalk. We will definitely be back !

Omg. We’re in from out of town looking for a friendly place accepting of diversity and good times. So we stopped in to have a drink and felt welcomed immediately. Sloane was maybe my favorite bartender ever. I’ve bartended for years and been to tons of bars. I know a good bartender when I see one and she’s it. If you have the good fortune of meeting Sloane, you’re going to have a great night. Tattoos, piercings, and acceptance 🤘🏼

I mean I can’t even begin, I had the best time here. Vanessa was super kind and helped make our dinner special. The band was fabulous and the atmosphere was great. I was greeted at the host stand and had a nice quick convo with a younger male manager who was incredibly pleasant. Food was tasty and drinks were also great. Definitely have to stop by especially if you’re wanting some live music on the Riverwalk.

Gracious and courteous staff. Got 1 pound of peel and eat shrimp, which were delicious. Reasonably priced, too. Will come back again,

Live music and very accommodating even when full and on Christmas Eve. David is the epitome of professionalism in hospitality.

Went to this spot because a couple folks in our group wanted oysters on the half-shell. They also discovered the oysters shooters. What a fun and relaxed atmosphere dining outdoors on the bend of the river! Todd and Endgren (pardon if name is misspelled) we're very attentive to our party of seven out-of-town patrons. Thanks for making our visit so much fun!

My server Danielle was wonderful. The gumbo was delicious but needs to be served with a bit more rice. I ended up mixing in some dirty rice. Everything was great otherwise.

Wonderful. From LARGE GULF OYSTERS, flatbread, to desserts. All accompanied by a nice cocktail and wine selection (red or white) 😉 whomever was handling the cigar lounge upstairs above the live jazz on Saturday evening, you were exceptional. Hands down the best service even though you were seemingly handling every table up there solo, and flawlessly I may add.
