Mi Mexico Restaurant

After an hour and a half drive to the national park. Me and my husband were starving. We entered the restaurant at 9(they close at 10), we were the last customers there. He ordered a Texas fajitas(it’s comes with steak,chicken and shrimp) and I ordered a shrimp fajitas. The photos won’t lie, the food tasted so good, shrimps were well-seasoned and delicious and the sides were all fresh, salsa, sour cream, guacamole etc.
What really amazed me was the Jamaica! That was the best Agua de Jamaica I have ever had before! Not too sweet and you can taste the flavor of the hibiscus. Usually the Jamaica out there are too sugary but this one is just perfect!
I was not expecting too much because that’s probably the only choice when it’s that late around that area. Even tho I don’t have a lot of experience of eating Mexican food but I personally like their food so much. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Always a delicious and authentic choice for some Mexican food. They even have a drive up for pickup orders! Can’t go wrong with their vegetarian selection, i’m always appreciative when restaurants offer non-meat options. But if you are more on the carnivorous side i recommend the enchiladas any day.

Exquisite food, authentic, excellent service and good prices!

Very welcoming from when we arrived till we left. Staff was friendly and personable. We went on a Sunday afternoon towards the evening. Place was kind of busy yet the service was quick. Food was cooked fast and brought out to our liking. Overall the food had great flavor. Prices are reasonable and the portions are a good size. Would definitely go back. Fried ice cream was great to!

My family and I come here at least once a week if not once every couple weeks. The food is always amazing, the service is always prompt, the food comes out, hot and cook to order, they have great prices and five dollars for five tacos on taco Tuesday which you can’t beat. Literally the best chicken tacos in town. I’m from Texas and Mexican, and very critical of the restaurants around here, but this one is 100% legit and delicious we have never had one complaint eating here. I love the staff staff the owners and the food we will be lifetime Customers.

This place still has the best tacos and guacamole around. I moved out of the area but I will still drive from daytona for them. Excellent service, clean restaurant, delicious food and great specials. The manager here is awesome and it shows. The only problem is it's addictive 🤤

Consistently great food and service! I waited before reviewing because so many places are hit or miss depending on when you go. Not here. It's a no thrills, old fashioned Mexican restaurant with legitimately the best fajitas in town. They have the best shrimp too no matter how you get it - burrito, quesadilla, fajitas. I like that I don't have to chase servers down for a refill or for more chips like almost every other Mexican restaurant in Florida lol

We have tried many Mexican restaurants but this one is always the best. Peppers and onions are always cooked well and flavorful. Shrimp Delight is delightful. Appreciate that they always use the large shrimp 🍤 in their entrees. Burrito Mexico is always fantastic too.

Taco Tuesday!!! Tacos were flying out the kitchen so fast!!! Chicken fajitas were amazing and MASSIVE portions. We had a blast and left full! Will 100% be back!!

I really enjoyed the food and the drink was really good! Will definitely be going back and yes I do recommend this place to anyone! My waiter was so nice I loved how she tended to us and kept making sure we were doing ok!

I had the Thursday burrito special. It was fine and the salsa and chips were good too. It is located in the old Dairy Queen building on the south end of DeLand.

i love coming here! it’s such a great ma & pa type of mexican restaurant! it’s casual dining serving up delicious, authentic mexican food. they start you off with a basket of chips and bowl of salsa to enjoy while looking over the menu and waiting for your order. the portions are great for the price. i’ve had the chicken quesadilla- a huge tortilla, stuffed with melted cheese, fajitas, and grilled chicken, served with a side of lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and guac. i’ve also had the Pollo Loco from the Mi Mexico Specialties menu page- a platter with grilled chicken and sautéed onions covered in a delicious sauce, served with their fluffy cheesy rice. it’s so good! most recently, i had the Pancho Villa which is similar to the Pollo Loco but has grilled shrimp on top. they also have mouth-watering dessert options that i look forward to trying soon! the staff is super friendly and the service is quick too, even when they’re busy! i truly enjoy coming here!

Vegetarian quesadilla was great chicken crunchy taco salad was yummy. Highly recommend a side of refried beans. Will be back soon.

This was a choice because it was the only thing open and I got to tell you, it did not disappoint. In the later hours of dining for dinner it's still had a ton of people and that only told me that the food was going to be awesome. It was.

Uber friendly staff. Very accommodating very nice. Food was made quickly served quickly and hot. Very nice big portions that we took home and had a complete meal the next evening.

Easy parking. Very clean. Pricing was fair and appropriate. We definitely will go back when we are in that area.

Stopped in for Sunday dinner and were not disappointed. Food delicious and portions were generous. Love the homemade salsa, nacho chips were fresh and warm! Service was great and friendly staff. Prices were reasonable. I ordered the Jumbo Ranchero Burrito and it was huge!
Loaded with veggies and grilled chicken. It was awesome!

We have been enjoying MI Mexico for over 25 years and it's always a treat.

My meal was Delicious, I was there with 2 others and we all so enjoyed our meals we will be back🥰🥰🥰🥰
