Favorite local bar with delicious food! This is the steak and cheese grinder with salami and prosciutto on toasted garlic bread! 😋

I got the chicken sandwich there and it was amazing! Whole place was better than expected. Super friendly staff, quick service, friendly environment.

I just wanted a quick cheap sandwich and it ended up being one of the best I’ve ever had.

One of the sweetest bartenders I’ve ever met worked there. She was smiling and laughing with everyone there. 10/10 check this place out!

We parked up at the top of the hill, so we were close to the Mansions. Needed a watering hole after trudging round a Mansion. This place was just opening when we walked by. The beer was nice and cold, priced reasonably compared to the rip off merchants down by the Harbor. Best thing about it was the Owners. They were really personable. So, we came back for a grilled chicken sandwich lunch before heading home. Pity we couldn't stay longer. Wish there were more places like this. Highly recommended.

Good small spot for locals. Good drink prices. Got a rum [Myers, Mt. Gay, Gosslings, Capt.] & coke in a pint glass for $6!

A little gem along the streets of Newport. We found this place looking for lunch on Father's Day, and were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and friendly service. The food was good, although the salads were a bit small and unfulfilling. Fortunately the pizzas are massive so we could share.

Great foods. Nice wines by the glass. One of the few local places in town.

The bartender Nikki is so kind! She has a smile on her face and is quick on her feet! This bar is clean, awesome little spot!

We stopped here to grab a drink while waiting for our dinner reservation. I can’t say enough great things about the staff (especially Sue!) and the people at this spot! Highly recommend stopping in here for a drink to meet some locals! Great dive bar and extremely friendly staff!

No more pool tables but they have a single foose ball table. Still a solid dive bar option close to downtown Newport. Clean. Friendly. No frills.

This is one of my stops when I go to Newport. It is truly a neighborhood bar with old-time Newporters who frequent there. Love Jay, Munchkin and all the new people I have meet each time I visit. Word of advice for any newbies stopping by...don't irritate Joe the bartender because you will be waiting awhile for your refill. lol.

Cappy's is THE local bar. You go there at 5 pm and your high school teachers from 15 years ago are drinking with you. Its great inexpensive beer and no one cares if you order take out and have it delivered.

Cappy's is my go to bar when I'm back home looking for old friends. I'm always sure to run into someone.

Pets are allowed just so long as they are not serving food.

Amazing service by Joe and great food and drinks at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend!!
