Shining Stars Montessori School

We love our Shining Star Montessori school. My daughter attends this school from past 2 years and she has grown academically, her social skills have flourished and her communication has been really good. Principal of the school- Ms. Vino has a lot of knowledge and is very experienced. She is very positive, kind and calm- exactly the person we need in our fast paced lives to handle our kids. She has provided love and care during COVID times and we cannot thank her enough.
Teachers are really good too. They go above and beyond to help my daughter and welcome her every day. They are part of our family and an amazing village to help raise my kid. I would also like to emphasize how clean the facility is and how well organized things are. The newly built playground is a bonus too.

If you are looking for a strong, knowledgeable, exciting, passionate, and honest staff, then Shining Stars Montessori is where your child needs to go. Throughout the pandemic they have gone above and beyond for the safety of all the kids in the school. No issues or concerns since COVID impacted us all. We trust Ms.Vino and her staff with our eyes closed and know our kids are in the best care. The facility is always clean, organized, equipped with supplies, and activities for both education and fun. The growth and development our kids have made in the last 2 years compared to other institutions we hear about is not comparable at all. We strive to provide our kids with the best while teaching them life skills along the way and Shining Stars represents that in every way. Shining Stars has provided a safe and happy environment for our son’s transition from home life into school. The Montessori approach is ideal for him; he shows it each day by his eagerness to go to school (despite not being a “morning person”) and by his happy chatter about classroom events. We really like the personal touch of this school - the owner/director Ms Vino is so good with the kids, and she and the teachers are all very competent and experienced at calmly handling the emotionality of young children.
The staff is also very responsive to direct communications with parents. Text messages and requests for in-person discussion get quick attention, so it really feels like we have an educational and childcare team on our side. We have watched our little boy grow by leaps and bounds both socially and academically, as his natural curiosity is nourished at Shining Stars. If you are looking for a great and happy start to schooling, Shining Stars checks all the boxes!

Highly recommend this school to others. From the moment I met Ms. Vino, her knowledge and experience, spoke volumes. The caliber of teachers at Shining Star is outstanding. Ms. Amanda and Ms. Slava have gone above and beyond to welcome my daughter in the toddler class. It's truly a group effort, all of the teachers lend a helping hand with the students.

In the past few months, my daughter's language, communication, and social skills have flourished. A testament to the nurturing environment of the school, as well as the kindness and level of engagement from the teachers. The school is diverse and incorporates education and understanding of different cultures and customs.

The layout of the facility fosters exploration and curiosity in little ones. The playground is a huge plus. Something I have not come across in other daycare facilities in the area. With such great weather in Austin, it's nice to have a safe area for the kids to play in year round.

Shining star and Miss Vino came as a blessing to us. Our daughter was 2 years and for 6 months we were in search of a good day care or Montessori around Avery Ranch. Many day cares we visited either had cleaning issues or they treated kids mechanically. Then we happen to hear about school come up just 2 miles from house and on our first day we were fortunate to meet Miss Vinu . With her strung credentials in working with kids in Montessori from last 30 years, she impressed us so much. But more then her credentials, she is genuinely interested in kids and hence ensures that the Montessori always keeps kids first. The school also takes care of special need like in our case we wanted to ensure that our kid is not accidental exposed to non vegetarian food. We will never have to think about another day care and Montessori again for our daughter. I strongly recommend this school.

Amazing school. We have 2 kids over the span of 3years attend Shining starts and I am so thankful that we found them. Ms.Vino and staff are wonderful. Our kids learn so much and are proud to share their new accomplishments.

Our 2 year old son just started at Shining Star about 3 weeks ago and it is his first time in a daycare/preschool environment. Grandma has been caring for him while my husband and I worked. We toured several Montessori and daycares prior to enrolling. We couldn’t be any happier. He is adjusting to his new environment and I can’t thank you enough to Mrs. Vino, Ms. Erin, and Ms. Amanda for being such kind, loving, and supportive teachers! Truly a blessing to find this school.

We enrolled our son even before the school was open and we were waiting for the opening ceremony knowing Mrs. Vino’s teaching skills. She has plenty of experience in teaching which made us to make obvious decision to join here. All teachers in the school focus on teaching core values to kids which will make them good future citizens.

Every Friday there is a “show and tell” session which increases self confidence and presentation skills in kids. Our son loves the tricycle park and the library room which gives so much fun every day. The classroom materials are designed in such a way that the fundamental skills are learned in the right way so that future leaning is easy.

We are truly grateful for this new school opening next to our neighborhood. My son is so happy at your facility even wants to be there over the weekend. Thank you so much for the loving care and guidance he receives.

A good design in classroom setup, play grounds and perfect drop off zone goes a long way in keeping our children safe and protected.
This school has it all!!

I recently moved to Austin, and had to find childcare for my 2 kids. As someone who has co-owned a childcare center in the past, I knew exactly what to look for in a good day care. We tried 3 other daycare before finding Shining Star Montessori School and have been happy since. Here are my reasons
Pros
1. The school is extremely clean, no matter what time of the day I go there. They seem to be extremely organized, so everything has it place. As a result my kids have never gotten sick while in their care.
2. Academics. The teachers in the school including Ms Vino, have so many years of experience and are great educators. In just a few months, my son in the primary class, can recognize countries by their flags, knows alot of continents, life cycle of plants, multiplication :D and he is not even in kindergarten yet. Best part is the work individually with every kid and tailor curriculum for them, as is done in most Montessori.
3. It is affordable. It is by far the cheapest of all the options I explored and by far the best quality wise. I think the prices are also as a result of not providing lunch.
4. The owner Ms Vino, is on site and is always there, assisting and making sure everything runs smoothly. I think this ensures the high quality care that this center provides. She is also an amazing lady and alway open to feedback.
Cons
- You have to provide lunch
- Lots of off days (which is understandable because it is run like a school, and the teachers have time off).

Overall, I give this school a 5 star rating. I did not want to name the other schools I tried out, but there were all in a 5mile radius of this school.

Our daughters have been a part of Shining Stars from their Pre-K through kinder. Due to their wonderful achievements and advancements in reading, math, and writing, we opted to keep them in Montessori instead of public school for kinder. The girls are critical thinkers and are over prepared for first grade... All because of the staff and teachers at Shining Stars. Thank you!!!

We're eagerly waiting for this school to open. My daughter started attending this school right from the day it opened. And now almost 2 months over. All through out it's a super pleasant experience.
We do see a lot of improvement for our daughter and all credits to her class teacher Ms. Nila. She is very experienced. The only thing new in this school is building, all teachers are very experience, skillful and professional. I like the fact that teachers here don't just take it as a job, they love it. They do pay personal attention to every kids.
Ms Vinoo is great and the location of this school is very convenient for us. A perfect 5-star experience so far.

We moved to Austin last year in August and due to the Pandemic we had concerns of enrolling our son to school.After a lot of research we came across Shinning Star Montessori School and there we met Ms Vino after Meeting Ms Vino and seeing the school cleanliness and environment we decided to enroll our son. Its not only on that day of visit but any time of the day the school is extremely organized neat and clean.The growth, development and social skills that we have seen in our son is not comparable at all he as grown tremendously at the end of his school day he gets so excited to share what ever he as learned in school.not to forget all this comes from the caliber that the teachers have at Shining Star Montessori School.Ms Vino and the teachers help our son way beyond.We know our son is in safe hands.Ms. Vino has a lot of knowledge and is very experienced you can go to her with any question and concern she will help you out.The warm welcome we get every morning from Ms Vino and others teachers while We drop our son to school is so positive and calm.We as a parent always want our child to be in safe, caring, loving, understanding and knowledgeable environment and bang this is the place we would highly recommend Shinning Stars Montessori School.Someone rightly said in a review dat they are a part of a family which is true SHINING STAR MONTESSORI IS A PART OF OUR FAMILY TOO.

The memories of my toddlerhood when Miss Vino was a teacher in a Montessori School reminds me of her always pushing me to do more work and helping prepare not just for school but for life as well. She is very wise and a great teacher and is ready to help for anything her students need. One of my favorite experiences was of the way she taught us to be respectful and kind. Even though I was smart and excelled she always managed to get something harder for me and though I hated it back then I thank her for now, when it matters. Thank you Miss Vino! I am very proud of you, and like wise I feel very proud to share that my teacher now owns her own school.

My son's favorite teacher 'Miss.Vino'! My son used to struggle with writing and reading English. But after learning with Miss.Vino, his English skill really has been improved a lot! My son also loves her very very much, cause she has a lot of patience and kindness!!!!!! We all LOVE her and will tell she is "The BEST of The BEST!"

The most loving school I have ever seen, my son is always super excited to go to school and have fun. Highly recommending all parents who wants good care along with good teaching, this school would be best for your kid.

We toured many montessori schools and shining stars montessori school is the best. It's new and have great teachers. My daughter really enjoyed the time at school.

Mrs.Vino used to be my Montessori teacher and I loved it her! The environment and the staff are amazing!! I would definitely recommend going to this Montessori, the community and the environment is one of a kind!
