Red Wing - San Antonio, TX

This was the best experience I have had, purchasing Red Wing boots. Mario greeted me at the front door and remembered speaking to me over the phone a day or two prior. He knew the discontinued boot I inquired about. I love the boots he showed me, they are much better than the discontinued ones! He had me walk on this reader that suggested the best insole for me. These are really comfortable, and grab a hold of slick surfaces. I have no problem working on a steep metal roof earlier today. I enjoy the style of these boots. They look great with any of my pants.

Very pleased with this location I brought my boots in to get repaired and they had them done in a timely manner. I asked some questions about boots that would best fill my line of work. While they offered excellent recommendations I settled on a new pair of the boots I currently had already because they’ve been amazing. I recommend Red Wing to all of my coworkers.

Great customer service, Mr.Glen went above and beyond to help find the work boot I really wanted. I will definitely be shopping here for my next pair in the future.

This store is AWESOME, like fah real. I came in to purchase a new pair of work boots. They have all this new tech that measures pressure points and your how you walk. I’m used to just going into Academy and getting a boot that’s low priced but somewhat comfortable…lol…Mario is the gentleman that helped me out, and was very informative and extremely helpful. I was so used to using a slip on composite toe boot, but after using that computer to measure my feet I found my left foot is somewhat more jacked up than my right…lol..I then tried on the lace ups with new insoles, and DAYUM, it was like heaven. 😮‍💨. Thank you again Mario🤘🏽.

Excellent customer service here, gentlemen pulled out boots for me so I can see what I like . I get a steel toe pull up didn't have my size, chose a lace up steel toe... Happy with my boots !
Waterproof as well a plus for me.

UPDATE:
I would be remiss if I didn't take the time to update my review. A day or so after my purchase of insoles I received a call from Glen. He asked me a few questions about my experience and asked that I come in for a scan and assistance finding the correct insole. I was able to finally make it in and was taken care above and beyond my expectations.

Here's the thing, I see many comments about associates attempting to upsell the insoles and understand that can be frustrating but as hard as folks state they work in their boots, why wouldn't you take the time and even pay the money to take care of the only set of feet you'll have. At my first attempt for insoles, I was not offered this service and Glen made this right.

I'd also recommend two things, make sure you have an account at Red Wing, and have your feet scanned for the correct shoes and insoles.

I walked out today 100% satisfied with the correction of service and will recommend to all my coworkers/friends. I will also return should I decide on a second pair of boots.

I bought a pair of work boots that have lasted me two years. Came in yesterday to buy a new pair decided on just some insoles. These are THEE most expensive and WORST pair of insoles I’ve ever had.

5 star shoes | 1 star insoles.

During my visit, I had an absolutely incredible experience. The gentleman who assisted me went above and beyond in ensuring I had a memorable shopping experience. He dedicated his time to meticulously display every pair of shoes I inquired about, patiently addressing all my queries and preferences. Not only did he provide me with alternative options, but he also demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the products.

What truly stood out was his attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. He took the initiative to assess my needs and suggested personalized insoles for my feet, a thoughtful touch that greatly enhanced my comfort. This level of service left me thoroughly impressed and made my visit truly amazing.

The team member was very knowledgeable and patient and courteous. He took his time to explain everything to me and to make sure the boots I bought were a good fit for my feet.

Was looking for my 1st pair of redwings ever and glenn made it happen. He had a really good attitude and excellent customer service for working on his 1st Sunday ever haha. My wife and i went into the store and even though he had a customer already he made it happen to bring me my first ever pair of 2440. Ill make sure that when i need a new pair to go back with glenn. During my visit, I was offered help and guidance by 3 gentlemen on the style of boot I could go for based on my line of work but unfortunately can only remember the name of one of them. Mario helped me for the majority of my time there and provided me with amazing customer service. I spoke with him about how I too provided customer service at my previous job in retail, striving to offer the best I could in that department and was delighted to get that same energy from him. He was very knowledgeable about the fit, care, and comfort of the options I was interested and all BEFORE he offered their Ultimate Fit Experience. In the end, I left feeling very satisfied with my purchase thanks to him. I would highly recommend them to anyone and have already done so since the visit! No my usual store, but stopped in for leather conditioner. Two guys working were super friendly and knowledgeable of Red Wing products. Great experience.

So this is going to be a long review, but the short version is: incredible service, incredible people. I'm happy I went there.

The long version: I went in and I was looking for a pair of Irish Setters. I had already owned a pair of these shoes and had been very happy with them. So I wanted to continue to use that brand. They didn't have the specific brand model of shoe I was looking for, supply chain issues. I was able to find one I liked just as much.

I presented the cashier, the manger, with my coupon. My company offers a discount when I buy protective footwear. Problem was the coupon wasn't working! The manager tried a bunch of different ways and couldn't get the coupon to work and I'm thinking, "oh great he's going to ask me to pay for the full price" or I'm gong to have to leave without shoes.

In the mean time the salesman had asked "Boss, can I clean up your old shoes?" (they were Irish Setters). I said "sure, have at it". I new they were pretty dingy as I had not cleaned them in... ever.

Though it took a call to corporate the manager was able to resolve the issue on the spot. Got my discount, credit, and shoes.

Right around the time I finished paying the salesman comes back out and says "here you go boss, I also replaced the laces"

Went there today with my wife and kid - the salesperson, Patrick, was super helpful and nice. He got a bunch of shoes out for my wife to try on and was very knowledgeable about the differences between all the different products, plus how to take care of them. When we went to pay for the shoes, the credit card system went down so we hopped across the street and had lunch until it came back online - Patrick gave us a slight discount for the inconvenience which was very thoughtful. When I come back in September I'll probably pick up a pair of Redwings for myself, and definitely at this location. Thanks guys and thanks Patrick!

My "go to" Red Wing store. The owner is very knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile for his customers. I usually buy my boots from him or Patrick, who also is a good salesman. Great store setup, along with top notch service, what more can you ask for? Keep up the good work guys.
