Duet with Music

Gigi,Charlie and Chase were awesome in helping me today! Decided to come here instead of a bigger store and I’m really happy I did. Will be coming back for any future needs for sure!

Been coming here for many years, and it's always a great experience! The quick and cost-friendly guitar stringing with Diego and stellar customer service with Paolo are just a couple of reasons to stop by Duet. I've bought a sponge insert for guitar humidity, countless picks, a ukulele with a watermelon design (for our 12 year old, who still loves it a year later!), and myriad tools/strings from here, and they've never disappointed with selection and price. I have 3 kids who are always trying to go to the mall, and most of the time I oblige because it gives me an excuse to pop by my favorite music shop. See y'all soon!

We had never been to this store before, but I recalled seeing it in the mall many years ago. When our clarinet broke this week, we made a quick call, discovered they did repair instruments, and were at the shop within the hour. We were greeting warmly, chatted about instruments with the young man at the counter while the clarinet was repaired, and were on our way. I was blown away by their fast, friendly, professional service and will definitely be back. They just earned their spot as #1 go-to place in Frederick for me. Definitely a business I want to support!

The staff was very nice and not that pushy. I had very bad guitar amplifier and stopped by to find a new one. They helped me find the one that was right for me. Did I mention how affordable it was? They wiped down a guitar so I could borrow it to test the amp, and to my surprise, it was set up! It played amazing right away! The staff was very nice and would answer all of my questions. They were very professional and knew the specifications of their products(unlike when I bought my first guitar at music and arts. They didn't even know the color and forgot the accessories it came with). Overall, this store is great. Great products, great service, I wish I could rate it 6 stars! I really hope it doesn't close any time soon because I plan on returning!

Formerly local voice teacher here! I bought a ukulele and a couple of song anthologies here while home from Boston for the holidays, and I had a fantastic experience. The entire staff is friendly and helpful, and I want to give a special shoutout to Nick, the young assistant who helped me out during my most recent visit. He gave me great advice on choosing a ukulele (I ended up going with a Kala concert uke), and when there was some confusion over the case that was supposed to go with it, he checked everywhere multiple times and found me a good substitute, checked with me to make sure I had the time to wait while he figured it out, and was in general thorough, knowledgeable, affable, helpful, and unfailingly polite. I had a great time talking to him while he helped me out -- he went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. Please support this locally owned business and its lovely staff!

Everyone was kind and knowledgable, and personally attentive. Along with purchasing a new instrument at a great price, I brought in my Ovation celebrity that I had picked up used and had some issues. I mentioned needing the guitar back asap for a our next upcoming series episode and Diego brought this instrument to performing like new as it should in half the time expected.
Best experience in a music shop I could ask for.

There are so many reasons why this store is still standing, I bought my first twelve string here and they were so helpful 15 years ago. Still amazingly knowledgeable and helpful with all things music. I am glad to be back in the area and able to use their services to help build my own skills and teach my children.

Duet with Music is an amazing store with great employees. Recently we had a concert for the Frederick Regional Youth Orchestra and one of our students left his saxophone at school. One quick phone call to Duet with Music and they saved the day!! They loaned us a saxophone and we were able to get reeds from them and the student was able to perform at the concert. This is not the first time we have encountered their kindness. Eric and his employees are willing to go over and above for the customer. If you need instruments or music there is no reason to go anywhere else but Duet with Music!!

Great locally owned music store. Always has what we need for the kids music programs. Have seen the owner attend many of the Frederick County Public Schools Band programs. Always friendly and helpful staff.

We have been customers since my son started guitar lessons almost 4 years ago. Eric and his staff (especially Michael, Brandon, and Adam) have been a tremendous help over the years. We look forward to our visit each week. Can't say enough good things about them!

A young lady that referred to herself as Richie is absolutely fantastic. I was impressed with the maturity and professionalism. The knowledge and understanding with how to gauge the correct size and level of quality instrument along with her recommendation was nothing short of excellent and helpful to someone that knows nothing of instruments. I felt her ability to sell is of the upmost respect and not from a sales pitch.

Helpful staff, great to see so many keyboards! Got to play two at once with synth bass on the bottom and piano on top.

I walked in with a trumpet in hand and the owner got out his repair tools before I even said a word. He knew right away that the mouthpiece was stuck, without me having to say anything. He fixed it in 2 minutes and I was on my way. I love Duet with Music!

Knowledgeable music teachers and knowledgeable people who repair instruments. They have a good selection of sheet music and books as well as a good selection of instruments.
