Sylvan Learning of Encinitas

We are so glad that we found this center! Ms Kimm is the director, and she has been wonderful. She easy to work with, flexible, and provides excellent customer service. She is always available to talk about any issues that may arise and provides ongoing observation and student progress. She is my daughter’s favorite tutor to work with in terms of deeply understanding concepts in math and writing, as she has a lot of patience and fosters a very nurturing environment. My son who struggles with Math is benefiting tremendously with the help from the center as well and loves working with Sara. She is also very patient and helps him understand challenging concepts in a non judgmental safe environment. We are grateful and so happy to have found a center that is a good fit and responsive to our individual needs.

My 1st grader’s “reading class” quickly became his favorite activity because of the attention he gets from the friendly staff and the progress he has made in his reading. It’s a small place that can get busy but he doesn’t mind. He asks to go more often and says “please pick me up late” so he can stay longer. After a couple months he is a more confident, eager reader and has gone from below expected reading level in school to meeting/exceeding expectations. Thanks Kimm and Sylvan team!

My daughter has finally gained the confidence she needs to truly enjoy school again. The tutors have become such special people in her life. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Sylvan.

Kim is amazing and very accommodating. She always keeps me updated on my child’s progress. She has been doing this for a long time, so she is very knowledgeable and concerned about the specific needs and areas where each student requires assistance. She is very polite, professional, ethical and kind to the parents. She keeps communication open with the teachers at your child’s school which is imperative for the student’s progress. We have been clients here for almost 2 years. My daughter loves it here! She feels comfortable and has improved her math skills immensely.

I am really satisfied with the the support and service at Sylvan. We've been using them for 3+ years now. They know how to keep kids motivated and make things fun. Bonnie & Kimm are amazing! I really appreciate how they work with last minute schedule changes when my son has sports. Thanks for all you do!

My son has been at Sylvan since Aug. 2017. The employees at the Encinitas location genuinely connect and care for the students and their families. They are friendly, extremely flexible, and go out of their way to serve their clients (i.e.-participate in school meetings). Specifically, both Kimm and Bonnie are great role-models displaying kindness, patience, and fun creating an environment conducive to learning. We are grateful for this experience at the Encinitas Sylvan.

Sylvan of Encinitas has been very helpful for my 6th grader, especially in math. She’s gained more confidence and has less frustration over homework. She’s loves the teachers and the incentive program is fun too.

Sylvan is a very kind place for children of all ages. All of the teachers, especially Bonnie and Kim, are fun to hang out with. What I like most about Sylvan is that you feel comfortable at the table learning with all of the other children.

Kim is amazing! The tutors have really helped my daughter to succeed and understand Algebra.

Love our teacher!!! My daughter loves it too, which is hard for a kid that hates school.
