I’ve been to this location several times and Sam is always friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Most recently, I took my Truetone archtop in for some TLC and new strings and Sam did a great job. Highly recommend.

Went here to return the instrument we rented for my daughter. Kate was VERY sweet and very helpful and very honest. Ended up keeping the instrument for the summer.
I will definitely recommend people and especially to come see Kate!

We rented a flute from Hillje on Saturday from a knowledgeable, friendly young man named Michael. He was very helpful. The store would be closing within 30 mins, but Michael did a great job getting us what we needed quickly and courteously.
By Monday we were back at Hillje needing help with a sticky key on the flute. A gentleman named Eric helped us out. I can see how some of the other reviewers might see him as not very friendly. I thought so too at first, but then realized he was very intent on finding out the issue and fixing it. A dedicated problem solver. I like that Eric. Once he figured out the issue he even took the time to Google tried and true solutions to help us.
We left with exactly what we needed, which WASN'T expensive repair work, but instead an inexpensive fix and Eric had us laughing with his quick wit.
Hillje has been and will be our favorite music supply store. Not for the inventory, but for the people.

Went twice in the past two days.To get some items for my son's guitar. It's his first so it's work in progress on getting supplies and extras that he may need.
The young lady there has been more than helpful in answering all questions myself and my son had. And certainly made me feel welcomed.

(DISCLAIMER DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE EVER IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS I WOULD.) I bought a violin for my daughter and we came back to get a piano. So then we were before this lady in line and the man behind the desk took the people behind us so we were last for no reason at all. Because I left to stay outside with the babies he started talking about my kids WITH THE CUSTOMER. Luckily my daughter was inside she heard them and reported it to me .I AM RETURNING MY DAUGHTER'S VIOLIN and getting it from someone else. The man had broken glasses

We were in Boerne for its Christmas festival Thanksgiving weekend. Walked into Hillje’s, found a nice selection of ukuleles, and ended up buying a lovely Kala tenor uke at a price as good as and even better than the price for the exact model on various online sites. And the young woman who waited on us was very seeet and helpful. I recommend Hillje’s!

I went to the store on Bandera and was so pleased with the service I got from Michael. I had instruments I wanted to get fixed before I sold them and he answered all my questions and gave me suggestions. I could tell he really enjoyed his work which matters a lot to customers!

My mom and me came in here. We are from out of town and we only have one music store from where we are so we came here looking for a microphone. My mom doesn't speak good English, but Ruben was really helpful and nice and patient with my mom as she asked a lot of questions. He even made it more personal and asked my mom about who it was for (my mom loves talking so this was pleasant). It is a small shop, but they had what we needed. We needed a wireless mic too, and he called other stores to ask if they had one. That , imo is going above and beyond. I work in customer service too. Would def come back here again. Thank you.
