I went here with a friend before going to a comedy show. We had trouble deciding on an appetizer but chose the meatballs. These were delicious. I could not believe how good they were and how delicious the sauce was. My only complaint is that there isn't enough bread--we should have asked for more. The server said the side salads were small but I thought they were a great size. We both got the steak and it was so tender you could cut it with a spoon. The asparagus was big and I was worried they would be stringy and they were not! The asparagus was so tender and well seasoned. We splurged on the red velvet cookie skillet and I think it was the best cookie skillet I've ever had. I cannot wait to go back! The drink menu was good too! I can't wait to go back and try more

Our recent experience at The Gate House was fantastic! The food was incredibly delicious, with generous portions—definitely something to remember when ordering. I enjoyed the pizza special, and my daughter loved her hamburger. Both were exceptional. It's a popular spot, so making reservations is advisable as they can get quite busy. Despite the bustle, the staff remained friendly and attentive. The restaurant's location is convenient, and the decor creates a cozy ambiance that enhances the dining experience. Gorgeous place with an amazing staff. Took my cousin for her birthday dinner and couldn't ask for a better experience. The portion size for the price is great. The nacho appetizer could feed a family of 4. The steak tips were delicious. Absolutely will go back to experience some of the other entrées.

overall a great experience. staff was very friendly and attentive. my burger was a bit dry, wish there was a little more bacon jam on there. eggplant fries were so good. i was surprised to see the cook in the dining room area making salads without a hat or hairnet. they also have vegan and vegetarian options. nice atmosphere great for a night out.

Gets very busy so make sure you make reservations! We had a reservation and they placed us in a great spot in the back of the restaurant so it was not loud and it felt private. The food was so good! They have a gluten free menu/vegan menu seperate from the main menu so you’re not searching for things which is great!
I ordered the GF haddock with mashed potatoes and it was prepared very well. My friends loved the mac and cheese and my fiancé had the vegetarian ‘garbage’ plate! This is a great spot to go with friends or family and the potions are enough to take home!

Love the vegan options and cocktails, friendly wait staff. Rest rooms are the BEST with ultimate privacy, decor, and anything a girl needs to "freshen up". Only complaint would be the noise level, it's pretty loud when the place fills up!

Absolutely LOVED the Gate House!! ✨ This is a true hidden gem in Rochester, and I wish I found out about it years ago! 🍽😍 Their wood fired pizzas are 10/10. Got the MAG pizza (Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Asiago, Ricotta, Variety of Mushrooms, Fried Eggplant and Sautéed Spinach) and it was delicious! The dough that they use is the perfect mix of soft and crispy. 😍 The ambiance is also warm and cozy, with twinkle lights all throughout the restaurant. ✨ Definitely try it out if you are in Rochester! 😋

We went here on a whim with my children and family. We are from out of town so we came in not knowing anything. We were blown away by the food prepared for us. We had 2 different kinds of pizzas that were to die for. One with red sauce and one with lemon sauce. Other family members had burgers and they were pleased. So Good. Plus, I was able to try my husband's rosemary fries...I could eat those all day. Service was excellent even though it was so busy. Definitely go and try this place! Wonderful atmosphere and great meal!

I took my mom, her best friend and my daughter here for Mother’s Day. With my daughter being a vegan I had looked for a restaurant that had numerous vegan options. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. We all loved our food! Our server Stacy was fantastic and was an absolute pleasure. We can’t wait to come back - there are so many other things on the menu that we want to try. Highly recommend - Thank you!!!

Our waitress was amazing and attentive. The food was fresh and quick to get to us. Our first time doing brunch and will definitely come back. The only reason I did 4 stars for the atmosphere was because it was very loud. But I understand that it's an open concept and noise carries.

Food is always great as usual. Service is a hit or miss. Last night we got the big nacho platter and 12 chicken wings, half parmigiana cheese and the other half mild Buffalo. Both were amazing. Seated and served quick. When you’re a regular like my parents, they take real good care of you.

Atmosphere was lovely, the food was wonderful. Surprisingly very kid friendly! The kids menu was great. My 4 year old said the eggplant fries were “scrumptious”

The place is situated at gate village. Normal waiting is 10-15 minutes. The hosts are super kind and genuinely help to make changes in dish. The nachos are super awesome. The gate plate was up to the mark except the fries.
Overall it’s a fine dine experience and must try!

Such a great place for lunch!! My wife and I had a bit of a wait with the Friday lunch but the staff were very professional, offering us a seat at the bar. They also had comfortable couches to wait on.

Our server, Stacey, was helpful, attentive, and friendly. She was great!!

The food was very tasty, presented nicely, and perfectly timed. We had the warm brie platter for only $10 and it could have fed 3 - 4 people!

I had the special, a prime rib sandwich with fries while my wife had a pizza. Both were incredible. We're stuffed!

Such a great place for brunch or a date night! We came for lunch and ordered The Wease burger with a side of garlic rosemary fries and The Strong Margherita pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious and had so much flavor. The waitress was very attentive and even split our meal for us, so that we could share! Cannot wait to come back again soon!

One of my family and I’s favorites! No matter what you get, odds are it’s going to be good.

Personally, I am a huge fan of the salmon, but The Wegman and Pandora Burgers are also a great go-to! Dessert is also a must (so much so I didn’t get a photo)

We ate in the bar area because there were so many people there at lunchtime. The bartender was very helpful regarding wines available. He also offered menus and to serve us if we ate lunch there.
The food and wine choices were excellent. Both were tasty, and we had a very nice lunch!

The pizza made in the wood burning oven was very tasty and the dough is crunchy on the outside while soft on the inside.

The wings (Italian style) were really good. The garlic/parmesan coating tasted fantastic. Didn’t even need a sauce to go with them. The only weird part is that they’re priced MP (market price). I’ve seen that for seafood, but never for chicken wings.

Next time I will definitely try their famous burgers.
