Schaller's

THE best burgers and fries in Rochester. Consistently. Year after year, literally decade after decade, the workers have come and gone, but the food (and building) haven't changed at all. Clean inside, plenty of parking, soft serve ice cream right there for a tasty desert (if you can leave room after the burgers, fries, onion rings, etc). Their buckets of self-serve pickles are still there too, sitting in the same spot on the same counter for more than 40+ years.

Been going to this location for over 40 years and still is the best burgers around. Good size fish fry on fridays too. Be sure to try their meat sauce, best in Rochester.

Very fun and tasty throw-back drive-in. Serves local favorite Zweigle's pork hots (and red) hot dogs, burgers, chicken fingers, etc. Service was friendly and fast. Nothing fancy, but plenty of old fashioned charm and yummy grill food that's definitely a cut above fast food chain fare. Well worth a stop.

I love this place. I don't live in New York but when I come here this is my go too place to eat a delightful burger.

There is only 1 problem with Schaller's. They do not have a location in Georgia. I live in Athens now!!

The last Garbage plate I had was at Tahoe's about 15 years ago, not quite the same, but I enjoyed eating here today. I'm always looking for a place that serves good sweet potato fries, and Schaller's serves great sweet potato fries

Family has been coming here for 3 generations. Food is always great, classic Rochester burger scene.

Classic American burger joint. Fresh ground beef. Good Texas or pork hot dogs. French fries are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside if you order them well-done. The meat-hot sauce is excellent.
It can get kind of crowded and noisy at the popular times. Which speaks to the quality and value of the food.
The staff does well to keep the orders flowing, even at the busy times.

It's Schallers by the lake. Childhood memories definitely make it one of my favorite places to get a burger, fries with meat hot sauce and a ice cold drink. Love the staff, love the location. Always clean, foods always great. Can't go wrong.

I love old school burger joints. This one is great. Definitely worth a visit.

Service fast and efficient! Cheeseburgers on Hard rolls; Hot dogs all with everything on including Hot meat sauce and chopped onions. Huge onion Rings, French fries and medium Fountain drinks with all free sweet and dill pickles you want. For 4 people came to $61.00. I thought was good price considering the prices of everything these days. We were all satisfied. We topped it off with their Soft serve custard ice cream for 4. Large portions for an Additional $21.00. That's aprox $20 person when you break it down. Been going here since I was a kid.over 55 years. Still Great!

As good as I remember. Best Hot sauce in area. Best pork hots and burgers.

Only reason it got a 4 on food is because the burger wasn't quite as good as I remember and a bit cold honestly. If you've never been here, GO! Get a red hot with hot sauce (it's a meat sauce), get the regular fries, as much pickle as you can handle, and finish it with an ice cream! If you've been here, then you know just how good it really is! Born and raised Rochesterian, came back from MD and had to visit Schaller's!

Great cheeseburger, their hot sauce is delicious and they have the best onion rings.

I haven't been to this location of Schaller's for a long time. I used to go here here since it was relatively close to several of my work locations in the Rochester area. The food is still good as it was in past years.
Schaller's is one of those nostalgic places to eat. They still have the 50's-60's signage out front as it's always been. It hasn't changed much.
I love that you can get many dill pickles with your meal. Great place to eat.
