Obviously managed well! 5 stars all the way around. Great service. I didn't see employees on their cell phones. They were tending customers eagerly. Food was well prepared, tasty, and good-sized servings. Price was on point. Quality for a reasonable price. It's not something I see much of this day and time. Atmosphere was pleasant, great music of the best eras. 👌 Not too loud. Couldn't find a thing wrong with this place. It's apparent that the owner is on his or her game. WELL DONE!

First time eating here and we were satisfied with the food. The menu has a variety of options and the portions were good. I ordered the Carnitas breakfast plate and it was delicious, although it cost more than I would have paid for it. The restaurant was nice and clean, although the temperature inside was cold which made the food cool faster and that's why I gave the atmosphere 4 stars... the waitress was very attentive and another lady approached us asking if everything it was good… I will definitely recommended this diner to family and friends 👍🏼

Ordered the black and blue burger with cheese and fries, and a sweet tea. Although the fries could have been cooked longer(kind of soft) they still tasted good and the fresh pickle spear served on the side was great. The burger was very good and I just love bleu cheese so if you do too you will love this burger! The maple bacon bread pudding was a huge surprise of yummy flavor too. Finally the sweet tea was brewed fresh and was quite refreshing. They offer military discount as well. Overall good experience and I would recommend this place.

Its great. Super friendly and attentive staff. Quickly got food even tho it was starting to get busy. Food was great. Large portions!

Dear Lord do yourself a favor and get the chicken and waffles!! I got the fish and chips. Extremely light batter. The place was PACKED. The wait time was not long. Almost cook time expedition. A wide variety of people. Prices very reasonable and you get a good sized portion too! The raspberry sweet tea was delicious.

We first heard about Metro when Guy Fieri reviewed it on his Triple-D show. A few years later, we visited one in Florida, and we loved it. Since then, we have stopped at them whenever we are passing through an area where one is located. We were glad to see this one open in Jacksonville. It's the same basic layout as others. The kitchen is open to the dining area, and the food is upscale diner fare. Our server stopped by the table several times to make sure everything was OK. The food was good and servings are large.

So it was my first time coming here and I have got to say it was really good. I’d probably start coming here instead of first watch. What I got was the fish and chips and I changed out the out the cole slaw for broccoli. My husband got the breakfast burger and it was delicious. We also shared the chicken and waffles but switched out the regular waffle for the carrot cake pecan one. Everything was amazing and very flavorful. For drinks I got the raspberry tea and a Dr Pepper. For dessert we got the chocolate cake and it was very delicious and not too strong of chocolate. Will be coming here again. Btw, our waitress was Wendy and she was so nice and caring even after asking her for multiple things. Thank you.

First time here, and they definitely didn't disappoint. Metro Diner is a cool retro spot playing 80s and 90s music with that classic diner feel. Foods ranging from classic breakfast, chicken & waffles, to omelet bowels and burgers. As you can see in my pictures, my family wasn't disappointed. Oh, they also serve mimosas! 😊

A Chef Salad was one of the specials the day we went. It was very fresh and delicious. We sat close to the bar were you could see the entrees coming out of the kitchen. 75% were their famous chicken and waffles. I know what I’m getting next time we go. All the entrees had big portions. In fact my wife and I shared the Chef salad. The Diner is staffed very well and they all seem very happy. Definitely a great addition to the Jacksonville, NC community

We a wanted to come and check out the new place. I wasn’t really hungry so I got something simple as avocado toast. They were really good. Service was good. They are still getting the hang of it but it was good. We will be back to try more of the menu.

I was so excited to see Metro Diner was coming to little Jacksonville, lol. It's in a great location, too, being there are not many breakfast places on this side of town. I ordered Togo, and let's say I wasn't disappointed. The ordering process was smooth, and the pick-up time was not long. My food was delicious. I ordered the meat lovers omelet with whole grain toast and cheese grits. My omelet was fluffy, and the cheese grits were perfect cheesy and creamy. I also wanted to try chicken waffles but didn't want a lot of extra food lol so I got a kids' meal chicken and waffle and loved it. My chicken was seasoned and crunchy. It came with a syrup and hot sauce mix, which was a good spicy and sweet combination. The waffles were soft, not dense or doughy, and came with a strawberry butter that was amazing.

First time ordering from here. Everything was excellent. Will be ordering from here again.

We really enjoyed our meal and it was well worth the wait. All the staff were very friendly and kind. Our waiter Charles was very polite and told us about all the specials. He made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. We definitely will be back.😊

Very good food, my wife had the San Francisco Benedict it was amazing. The chicken 🍗 waffles 🧇 was one of the best I’ve ever had. I’m a foodie so I never give 5 stars it’s unusual. The training staff was here to assist the new staff, we just hope it doesn’t go downhill like most restaurants in Jacksonville.

Second time eating at this location and we have gone 2 for 2 with fantastic service and delicious food! Cari was excellent, very personable, and attentive. The atmosphere was once again amazing. The entire staff, and table beside us, made the whole experience memorable! We will certainly be back.

The food was delicious! I had the country fried steak with the sausage gravy on the side. I also had their seasoned fries and over medium eggs. The fries were the best I’ve had in Jacksonville so far! The gravy was home made and just good! The portions are big so you get your moneys worth. I signed up for their email promotions and received 50% off my first order which was so nice. I will be back, ALL the time 😊

Great! Ate once inside and ordered pick up once. Both experiences were great! Pick up order was brought out to car and included utensils, napkins, and extra sauces. Great service inside too. Large servings and tasty food!

Absolutely my new favorite restaurant. The staff is always amazing and I have yet to have a bad meal there. I try something different every time we go and am never disappointed.

First time ever eating from Metro Dinner. Let’s just say this is my new go to spot. Food is great! And You get your money worth. I highly recommend to try them out.

For the most part, their food is good, especially the chicken and waffle. The home fries were overcooked a few times, and turkey sausage undercooked, but other than that, the food is good. I would definitely return for the bread pudding.
