Great transaction. Desired firearm was on sale at a fair price. Staff/owner was professional and freely shared both pros and cons. Will purchase again; highly recommend.

I wanna start off by saying most of the negative reviews you see are people that weren’t understanding of Maryland law and probably got mad they were told they had to do something before purchasing a regulated firearm. That being said the guys here are always helpful and very knowledgeable not just with customer service but gunsmithing as well. Amazing shop, they do the best job to help you and answer any questions you have. Good selection of mostly new and a few used models, amazing selection of shotguns especially. Would recommend 100 times over.

Unsure of the negative reviews here. Came in to purchase a firearm and was met with friendly knowledgeable people. Educated me on the rifle I was buying and the paperwork process was quick and easy. They told me a 7-10 day wait and i was pleasantly surprised when I was called 5 days later and told my rifle was ready for pick-up, Once again I was met with freindly knowledgeable people and the transaction went smooth as can be. Couldn't be happier with the service.

My experience with this place has been with gun repair work about a half dozen times. The service and workmanship has always been excellent along with a very fair price.

I went in looking for a small 30-30 for my daughter. They did not have one but, he did talk to me. Showed me a few alternatives and discussed caliber options with me. I settled for a Mossberg in 243 and am very pleased. The rifle fits my daughter perfectly and is easy for her to shoot. She loves it and I am pleased. Would shop there again.

They are knowledgeable and professional. Answered all of my questions. I was out of there in no time with my new firearm and ammo. If you are a serious gun enthusiast and know what you are looking for they are great to deal with as I have been buying from them for 26 years and highly recommend them.

I went in here the other day and the two guys working there were really polite. We had a good discussion about good CCWs and the gun laws in Maryland. Never at anytime did I feel pressured to purchase anything. They seemed to just want to find what best suited me. I left without buying anything but they were polite just the same.

I see the store has had a lot of negative reviews. I have made 2 purchases from the store in the past two weeks and I have found them to be very professional very friendly! I usually don’t even leave reviews but I thought it was necessary considering the bad reviews that are out there about this business.

I had excellent service! Other reviews had me worried, I'm glad I went. Salesperson was with customer went I arrived. He did acknowledge me. He took his time answering question that customer was asking. When he got to me they had exactly what I wanted / needed and answered all of my questions and gave me good advice. I was only purchasing scope rings and bases.

I was very weary about going to this store because of the negative reviews on every review site that I visited before deciding to buy a firearm. Because of this, I ended up visiting 2 stores in Frederick prior to going to the Gun Center. I was specifically looking for a Ruger GP100 6" .357 Stainless revolver. The other 2 stores didn't have the 6" in stock so I stopped at the Gun Center just to take a look. I had already looked up the retail price from Ruger, it was listed at $775. I was greeted by a former Marine who had worked at Fort Detrick (I'm Army), he was helpful, let me take a look at the gun. To my surprise, when I looked at the price tag, it was listed at $755 brand new. I had seen cheaper prices online, but they didn't list the condition of the weapons, so I assumed they were all used. Anyway, I purchased the gun on the spot and Rick helped me with the paperwork. They were even flexible with me since I didn't bring my military orders, I just e-mailed them as soon as I got home so I could get the ball rolling on the background check. I certainly understand some (emphasis on some) of the complaints, because some of them just sounded like entitled Americans bitching because they didn't get a pedicure at a gun store, but I didn't have a bad experience here. Maybe they just need to weed out a few bad employees. They have a really good selection of guns there though, the largest of the stores I visited in Frederick by far.

I had a good experience. Got there around 2:00pm and was the only guy in the store. The fella working there was great. He answered a bunch of questions for me and he was very knowledgeable. I give him five stars!
