Very easy to communicate with over email to initially inquire about items to possibly bring in (including photos), and then over the phone to schedule an actual appointment. Once at my appointment, Brian Geno was very professional and thorough with all of my items, and was willing to look at and evaluate everything, no matter how insignificant I thought some of it might be. He took the time to explain his evaluation and appraisal of all items and offered me a very fair price for the coins and jewelry from my late parent's estate. An extremely easy and satisfying experience... thank you!! I will definitely come back to Fairfax C&C Exchange, LLC if I have more valuables/collectibles to sell!!

I had a coin collection and some family watches passed down to me and gathering dust for 40 years. I brought them to Fairfax Coin & Collectibles and am not regretting it. They gave me a detailed assessment and ended up buying several valuable coins. At the same time, they were respectful of the items that were family heirlooms and I was not interested in selling. I didn’t feel pressured to sell but was ecstatic with what I let go. And, because they bought items from me, they didn’t charge the typical assessment fee. My wife is already pushing me to sort through other potential collectibles and get them assessed or appraised.

So glad I came here ..... Brian was SO transparent with every step of the process. He had instrumentation that showed percentages of metals detected in my coins, etc. He also looked items up online and shared all the information that he found. 5 Stars....I took my grandson, age 11, to my second appointment with Brian and Carey, as he is pursuing his Boy Scout Merit Badge in coin collecting.  I could not have been more impressed with the time and attention they gave to him, helping to educate him about the hobby of coin collecting. as well as sharing numerous anecdotes about coins and collecting that were both fascinating and captivating.  They are strongly focused on kids, and both Brian and Carey are excellent with them.  It was such a memorable visit for my grandson, and their tips and advice made a big impact on him and me, too.    I also had a number of older coins from my father and my aunt, and Brian and Carey spent a good bit of time with me assessing the coins during my first visit, and gave me higher price estimates than other shops.  I have visited 3 other coin shops in the area and feel that Fairfax Coin and Collectibles is a cut above.  They are professional, friendly, committed to the numismatic community, honest, forthright, and genuinely good people.  5 stars from my grandson and 5 stars from me!

Nice professional group of folks and they’re willing to take the time to talk about your assets and the relative worth from a collector/buyer’s perspective. I sold them paper currency along with some coins and they’re price for buying was at a percentage of retail consistent with buyers in the area or a touch better. One thing that stood out was their comfort level talking about the assets and getting a taste of professional discord on prices but not any kind of saltiness behind it (sometimes prices don’t work out for both parties). Will work with them again soon.

I went to Fairfax Coin & Collectibles Exchange today for help with a special Silver item. They are very professional, honest, knowledgeable, and personable. Great first experience! I love the people here! AND we did a price comparison with what we knew was a high dollar item and Brian came in higher. They've got the expertise and the tools to properly analyze gold and silver content so you can see exactly what you've brought in. We were pleasantly surprised with some items and dumbfounded about others. Sometimes you just don't know what you don't know. No need to sort through your coins ahead of time as they will take care of it all. Welcoming, friendly, patient, and respectful. It's easy to make an appointment so just do it. Sold a small collection of modern ungraded gold coins. Overall, the experience was very positive and I would turn to them first the next time I have coins to sell. First and foremost, they quoted better prices than any other local buyer. It's clear that they have a real enthusiasm for coins and that leaves a positive impression. They did not have much experience with the foreign coins but were happy to look up prices and quoted me a very good price.

The appraisal process was a bit hap hazard with numbers flying back and forth. I'm perfectly comfortable with math so this was not a big deal. But others may want to insist on slowing them down. At the end, they prepared a detailed sheet with each coin listed and I was able to replicate all of their calculations. So despite a bit of chaos I left with full confidence I was getting paid what we agreed to.

I shopped 3 other local coin buyers. Fairfax Coin & Collectibles exchange are knowledgeable, professional and most importantly their offer was highest.

Yes, it was worth the extra time shopping the market, they paid 34% higher than the lowest offer I had received from one of the other shops. (12% higher than the next highest offer) If you don't have the time to compare offers from other shops, then this should be the one to sell to.

They know what their doing, on one pedicular coin (.50 cent piece) I knew it was special, highest I was offered from other buyers was 450, they offered 1,000. Makes a big difference when your dealing with buyers that have integrity and are knowledgeable.

Make sure you call and make an appointment with them first! They're very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly! Gave us a great deal on some holiday gifts!
