We were referred to Silverthorn if our Boston had any complications during whelping. Even though we were not patients at their facility they checked on her throughout the entire day and gave us extra contacts in case of any later emergency. I am very thankful as this was my first whelping experience!

They took great care of my Mollie when she needed an emergency C-Section due to non-progressing labor. They were able to get her in right away and explain the process to us. The surgery was quick and we were back home with a few hours. Mom and puppies are doing great!

Dog was sick. Called and got same day help. He’s about 90lbs Bully. No fear from anyone. Which was unlike some other experiences. 10 min wait and seen by doctor. She was sympathetic of my guy who was quite nervous. Given 2 options on test neither were outrageous. Sent home with meds with a 2 week follow up. Found my place. Moved from another state not long ago and needed a Vet. Highly recommend.

I finally found "my vet"! This is the 4th vet I've tried in Hernando County and I'll be sticking with them. We saw Dr. Rosario and she was so patient and kind with my little spicy senior. They're not the cheapest but they provide great care and their blood work is done in house. Worth the cost!

Dr. Rosario and her assistant Christine were wonderful! They gained Lucy's trust first by playing and talking to her and made her feel at ease. I believe she had fun! Regardless why we are there, routine or emergency, the entire staff is always professional and friendly.

Very Honest and up front regarding our dog. I am very appreciative of that. Will be visiting them very soon for further care of our beloved Zorra. This clinic came highly recommended from a friend and I highly recommend this clinic for your pets care.

The doctors and staff at Silverthorn Vet clinic go out of their way to take care of my dogs with what they truly need rather than charging me for unnecessary medications. They are helpful and capable of explaining what they have found for treatments without being excessive in procedures. They respect my time even when they get behind due to emergencies with other clients animals. I feel the complete staff cares deeply about what they do and go out of their way to offer the best care for my animals.

Dr Johnson and his staff are so great and they all truly care about our pets! I don't trust my dogs with anybody else. We'll see him this morning as a matter of fact for follow-ups. Thank you for all you do!

Absolutely miraculous! Several years ago my dog ran after a rabbit. She had a long back and short legs and jumped off our high porch step & literally broke her back. I took her to 4 of the best vets in Pasco County all looked at her x -rays and advised me she be put to sleep. She was in so much pain and couldn't walk or stand back legs just flat behind her to the floor. When the 4th vet saw her & also advised me to put her down. I said I couldn't could she advise me of anything at all. She told me she hasn't seen it but heard acupuncture might help. She didn't know of any and said maybe check reviews. I did and found DVM Johnson. I never believed in acupuncture till I saw him literally fix my dog in 3 treatments and she gradually walked, then walked and even ran again for the last 4 years of her wonderful life. Life that she wouldn't have had if I didn't find him. At the end of her visit he asked do we have any other problems I told him she can't help it and often has loss stools in the house. He said he could fix that. I don't remember where he put the pins but she never dirtied by accident in the house again. Pure, pure blessing. I would advise anyone with a pet who needs regular or a miracle cure to not put down their animal till they at least give DVM Johnson an honest review of their problem. He is honest and trustworthy & knows what he is doing. While my dog is gone now I advise anyone I see to see him. I am in need of a good acupuncture Doctor myself now but haven't a clue who to see, my only hope is that I find a human doctor who knows how to heal as well. Thank you DVM Johnson!

Went back again for another litter of puppies and they are just amazing! All of the techs were great specially Kelsey!! She has been extremely helpful and the vet was also very informative.

I have been taking my Doberman Puppy to see Dr Johnson and have had a great experience with him and his staff. My appointments are timely and my boy has been taken care of with love and compassion.

Dr Johnson is the best. He and his team are very thorough, compassionate, and caring. Clean and professional clinic who is respectful of your time.

Our dog Maximus has been going to the clinic for almost 11 years. The new veterinarian Dr. Cahill is amazing! She’s very thorough and seems to really care about our old man Maxie. Highly recommend! ❤

Wonderful caring staff! I have been going to Silverthorn Animal Clinic since I moved to the area 6 years ago and have been thrilled with the care my dachshunds receive. Everyone genuinely loves animals, and it shows.

I have 2 frenchies that I take to Dr. Johnson. The staff is always so great with them and Dr. Johnson is the best. Very knowledgeable and loving to his patients ;) I wouldn’t take them anywhere else.

With having a large breed dog who can be reactive with people it is imperative that I have a vet and staff who have confidence in managing this behavior and validate my knowledge of my dog. I have been through several Vet's in the area all who lacked skills and knowledge in giving the service I needed. Silverthorn has met and exceeded my needs and expectations in all regards! No need to look further. This is our forever Vet!

Our 5 month old timid, fearful puppy was treated with patience and kindness by both the Dr and the staff. We will be returning for a full examination with our puppy on a mild anti anxiety medicine. We are so glad to have found a fear free clinic to treat our furbaby. Hopefully with the right training she will grow confident and look forward to her visits.
