The name truly speaks volumes for this business. This is it for me... The only place I'm going for hair ever. I am struggling with hair loss. And the husband and wife were both so sweet and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place moving forward. Everything was amazing. The service was amazing and I had fun trying on all the hair. The selection was endless. The quality is great. People think it's truly my hair. I couldn't be happier. Thank you.

This is the best place for Black Hair care products. Though they carry everything for everyone, it’s guaranteed that they’ll always be well stocked. Plus we really love the jewelry and other accessories. The prices are the best. The owners are wonderful and attentive to your needs and requests. Truly thankful they’re here. I am thoroughly impressed with my experience at This is it! Hair world. We called because we realized we didn't have what we needed and the owner walked us through every step, answered all of my questions, and helped ensure that the person I sent to pick up our order was the correct person and got it quickly. Miss Sandra was so professional and I cannot wait to actually see this store in person.

Black owned need I say anything else ? Lol ! I didn’t get a weird vibe from “people” following and staring! THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER!!!!! Omg This place is great I have never been treated so nice at a store in the whole life!! Definitely the most welcome place!! I had my toldder with me to and the lady working was so nice about him walking around and even gave him a snack!! You can try on wigs first to! They have lots of wigs to choose from and different styles kinds ect. And the prices are great!! Thanks again for being so nice!!

first time coming here. this place is so so nice. the guy working here is kind and helpful. he took down everything i wanted to try on. helped me decide and the prices are amazing. got this one for only $50. i would come here again and recommend it to all my friends.

I am a 67 year old "Honky" Lady. I found this store on the web and I went there last summer. The owner is so so sweet! She found me the perfect packet of clip ins and the price is right! I am bringing a friend up from Glen Ellyn this Friday to do some more shopping! Can't wait to see my gal Sandra again!

The best, and I mean THE BEST, hair store in the suburbs. When you are looking for variety this is the place to go! Black owned and family run business. Sandra is an angel. She is so welcoming. She treats her clients like how she would want to be treated when shopping. I went to 4 beauty supply stores and none of them had the variety like Hair World. I’m a newbie when it comes to hair, so Sandra showed me different hair types, different styles, and gave great suggestions. Don’t waste your time anywhere else! The best wig store!! Both service and price are so good!! So much better than the wig store I went to in Crystal Lake. This place has the largest and the best wig collection, the most important of all, the owner Sandra is like an angel, incredibly kind, sweet, thoughtful, honest and compassionate! As a cancer patient , the way she treated me just melt my heart! we had wonderful chat, she answered all my questions, explained the differences between human hair and synthetic as I couldn't decide which kind I'd go for, she took her time and helped me to find the wig exactly I have been looking for, and she also trimmed the bangs for me, I couldn't be happier. Nowhere else can beat their price as well. Thank you so much Sandra!!

Went in for a deep conditioning treatment, a detangler, and some clip in hair extensions, because I had tape ins that damaged my hair and made my hair very thin and dry. I did a lot of research and saw this was the best place to go and it’s true! As soon as I walked in the owner Sandra immediately helped me find everything i need, helped me match my hair color perfectly, and explained how to use each item properly. Thank you so much for all your help and I will be back!! :)

I have never bought extensions before and the owner was so friendly and helpful, she took time to talk to me about what I was looking for, showed me so many options until we found one that was absolutely perfect. She talked about how to wear them, how to clip them in and how to take care of them. Huge selection and the kindest staff. Highly recommend!!

This black owned, woman owned shop is amazing! The owner Sandra is awesome! This was my 1st time here & she made me feel so welcomed. I had one of the best experiences with Hair world. We went in there cause I convinced my mum, a senior, to get a wig and once there Sandra patiently not only tried to understand her needs but went ahead to share options which could help. She even went the extra mile to cut my mum’s hair although the shop ain’t a salon. Ultimately, we walked out very happy with Sandra promising to look into more options that would suit mum’s style and needs.
Sandra is truest remarkable and very customer oriented and the way she handled my mum was really impressive. My mum and I would absolutely recommend Hair World to everyone who are looking to experience a smooth transition to wigs from their failing natural hair.

Amazing customer service both from store owner Charles and his employee Daniela. I came in to look for specific extensions and Daniela was extremely professional and friendly. She showed me some options and gave me advice on which product would match the best with my hair. Charles also made sure that if they didn't have a product, he would make sure to order it and get what I needed. I left happy with a good product and awesome customer service. Will definitely revisit this store for future hair needs.
