Quiet and Quite Amazing. Gail has been awesome to coordinate with. Very understanding/patient when I was delayed by RV problems and then weather. Multiple calls to coordinate and never a frustration. I am hopefully staying long term with work project but she explained I may have to change spots even if I can stay. Look at the view and the dog park - any place/spot here would be a blessing!! I might mention shower, bathroom, laundry room and event center all very clean and open 24/7 - great with my schedule. Park very orderly. Did I mention the view or did you see the pictures? Even the panorama only gives it slight justice. Got to see it to believe it! Right after I posted a herd of deer came by to graze.... (added pics!) Of course the stars will be amazing too!! Saw those last week. You can see one in top left of first picture!!

Beautiful RV park, the owners are kind and welcoming the showed us our site and even explained the weather conditions for the days of our stay. They have a big dog park, there’s a laundry room and a community room. The wifi is fast enough for streaming. The space was very spacious for our 37” rig and had 50amp connections. Overall it was a beautiful experience and would highly recommend to everyone.

We needed a place to stay for the night and cool pines had availability. Gail and Rick, the owners, were very kind and helpful. The park is beautiful, they have a community fire pit and activity room, a dog park, and all the facilities were extremely clean and nice. The only draw back is there is 1 restroom and shower. It was one of the cleanest and nicest restrooms I have been to in a park in a while. You might have to wait a little bit to get your shower, but it won’t be long as each shower is on a 10 minute timer.

We stayed at Cool Pines on our way from Carlsbad to Las Cruces during our week-long road trip in New Mexico. The location is easily accessible from the main road, quiet and beautifully situated in a pine forest. The owners were super friendly and helpful. When walking the property after we arrived and checking out all the amenities it is clear they take pride in their property and have made investments that will make your stay memorable. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful stay-this is your place!

We stayed at the Cool Pines RV Park in May and we highly recommend this campground if you are in the area. The layout of the campground is great, providing a great amount of space for your set-up while also giving you some privacy from the other sites. Rick, one of the owners, was incredibly friendly and helpful and just an all-around great guy. We loved meeting some of the other campers, some of whom are regulars there. They have a great activities center where one morning we had some of the best cinnamon rolls you can imagine. We used the laundry facilities and found those to be clean and easily accessible. It is obvious the owners are regularly investing in the campground to make it a wonderful place to stay. Rick and Gail call this place their business and their home and they certainly made us feel right at home and you could see the pride and care they are putting into the campground. If we are in that part of NM in the future we will definitely stay there again!

We prefer State and National parks to RV Resorts. But Cool Pines is the best of both worlds. We are in a lovely shaded site looking out across a meadow that a good dozen mule deer just walked across. Yet we have full hookups and reasonable prices.
This place is immaculately maintained and clean. The owners Rick and Gail greet you and make sure you get setup and are happy. They recently opened a new sections and all of the sites are fantastic.
Love this place.

We are in the middle of our Spring Break trip. This is the best park so far. The location is a nice break from all the desert driving we have had this week. The setting is beautiful. We would love to come back during the summer as some of the back end sites look beautiful. It actually snowed when we were her in late March. The new owners, Rick and Gail, welcomed us and made us feel at home. This park should be ranked higher as the current owners are making it a great park.

Property was beautiful with wildlife right outside your door. Facilities were excellent and comforting. Staff was not only nice and respectful but very helpful with local information. My family and I loved the place and we are already planning our next stay.

We drove in this past Saturday around 7:30PM (without reservations). The owner/operator Rick not only opened up shop for us to get a space but physically helped us get situated in our spot. Rick was extremely friendly and an excellent host. We truly enjoyed our quick stay and wished we didn’t have to leave. The park has accommodations for any Rig. Secluded, tree covered spaces or open, large pull thru sites. Very easy to access from the road (82). We will definitely be back.

This place is fantastic! The owners are the nicest, friendliest people you'll meet. They are passionate about creating a great experience. The prices are great.

There is an activity room with puzzles and games, it opens up on to a community fire pit.

Deer, turkey and elk roam the grounds daily!

Laundry is fairly priced. Restroom and shower are new and clean, well kept. All in all it's one of our favorite places to stay in the whole country!

A great staging point for Alamogordo, white sands, Ruidoso and even carlesbad caverns.

Great park with friendly hosts. The park has an activity room and plenty of power hookups. I was sleeping in a Tesla Model Y and plugged into the 50 amp I am getting ~30m/hr while in camp mode. Plenty to get back up to full overnight. The shower and bathroom is nice and there is a laundry room. On Saturday morning they had coffee, cinnamon buns, and fellowship.

Found this place after joining “Passport America”. It is a PA park. Half price for 3 nights. The park was very pretty and the new owners are constantly improving the park. We were lucky to get in as a lot of seasonal campers are there. Real community feel here. They offer free cinnamon rolls and coffee on Saturday mornings. All amenities worked great and wifi was good. Stayed here in a 43’ motorhome while attached to a 14’ trailer in a long pull through site. AT&T cell service was non existent. Wife had 1 bar on her Verizon phone. Park owners were very nice as well as all of the people staying there. We did not want to leave.

The new owners are very hospitable, helpful and kind. The campground is clean and peaceful. We enjoyed being in the cooler weather in the mountains and taking day trips to white sands and Alamogordo (1.5 hours). The town of Cloudcroft is very charming and a short drive from camp (15min). Will come again if we pass by! Thanks for a great stay!
