Mayhill Cafe & Hotel

This review is ONLY FOR THE RESTAURANT. I had a bourbon bacon burger and you know how most the time when bourbon is in the name of a food, you often find ypurself wondering "where's the bourbon?". Well, you don't have to worry about that here! It is DELICIOUS and you can definitely tell bourbon was used! The onion rings are good too, but the burger was the show stopper. It is also very reasonably priced.

We just had a steak at Mayhill Cafe. I'll tell you what is was the best steak I can remember eating. Not sure where they get their steaks but best I've had, bar none. Worth the drive if you love s good steak. The staff was very friendly, very beautiful atmosphere.

genuinely one of my all time favorite places to eat up here. My whole family loves it too. Honestly amazing food. They’re usually understaffed, so stuff does take a little bit, but it’s well worth the wait in my opinion. I honestly like their breakfasts better, but their lunch/dinner options are really good too.

Always a nice place to eat. Definitely our favorite place to eat in the mountains and we eat here weekly. Live music on Friday nights.

We had a lovely stay in the Barrel Room! The room was well decorated with a beautiful mural, and the bed was comfortable. Super clean bathroom and beautiful wood floors! They were also able to accommodate us with a late arrival, checking in with us before and after our stay to make sure everything was perfect. What a cute little place!

Just dropped by for breakfast due to a reference from a friend. Outstanding. The mega skillet and meat skillet breakfasts are amazing. Home cooked flavor and atmosphere. What a neat place.

What a lovely little bitty town. We stayed at one of the hotel’s cabins. It was so clean and comfortable. We ate most of our meals at the hotel cafe, which were delicious. And I cannot rave enough about the cool mountain climate. My husband and I needed a mental health break from the scorching Texas heat and drought and we got it. I’m ready to move here. Thanks Josh and everyone who made our brief trip wonderful.❤Don’t let Texas mess with what you have going there!

Neat little place with amazing food. We stayed the night there as well, in the apartment that was available. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and would love going back.

Ate at the cafe, it was delicious. We had the chicken fried steak, hand breaded!!!! Great service too.

For the past 3 years we have been going there for a man's retreat & they always welcome us with open arms & loved. Stop by they have good food there. God bless yal

Delicious breakfast! Pancakes were huge, blueberry ones were super good. Server was friendly and all our food was good.

We ate at the Mayhill Café twice. It was so good our first visit, we went back again for breakfast the very next day! Kudos to the baker. The biscuits and bakery items are amazing. I'm very picky when it comes to foods. We ate breakfast and everything was so great. We had it all for the most part. Chicken fried steak, pancakes, and huevos rancheros. It was all excellent! I cannot wait to go back!

We came up the end of July from Tucson, and stayed here for 2 nights. The apartment, and rooms are amazing. Large space, extremely clean, and the service was outstanding. We are all our meals at the cafe, and the food was to die for.

We are all anxious for a return visit. The area is beautiful, and the weather was tremendous.

I would recommend a trip here to anyone interested in a get away.

My room, number 3 was outstanding! Cozy western decor, the bathroom is awesome. The hotel is extremely clean, and quiet. Cafe for breakfast and lunch, plenty of choices. Historical hotel even has rockers on the 2nd floor balcony.

I didn't stay there. The menu is very diverse and the location beautiful.

Food is absolutely amazing! The service was awesome and so friendly. Well worth the trip for their food. Most definitely coming again.

Our waitress valarie was absolutely wonderful one of the most friendliest waitresses we have ever encountered. The food was amazing! I would’ve loved to of met the cooks in the back to thank them personally. Will definitely be back many times!
