Monocacy Brewing Company

Monocacy brewing is a great place for a cold and tasty pint. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and quick. They only serve beer so you don’t have one person behind the bar having to make cocktails and pour beer.

They have a decent inside seating area and plenty of outdoor seating. They have events such as food and beer pairings. We did an ice cream and beer parking which was an awesome and fun experience.

My favorite beer here is ghost of the ice cream man which is named because this building used to be an ice cream production plant. If you’re in town trying Frederick’s many beers, you have to try this spot!

Love the vibe here. Really encourages outdoor sipping with the mature shade trees and multiple seating options. You can even bring your own chairs and/or gazebos to set up outside, if you're planning the day here 😂 For those who don't enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere, be forewarned that lots of kids are running around. Never bothers me because I've been there personally. Tons of activities to keep the kids entertained (outdoor games, board games, etc). Favorite beers so far are Hyperion's Chaos and Ghost of the Ice Cream Man. Hubby's was Hyperion as well. We'll definitely visit again. With friends and plans next time!

They had 9 of their beers on tap when I stopped in, including their Mic'd Up Mango on Cask- yum.
There is a large indoor room as well as a huge shaded yard area with a fountain outside. Dog friendly, of course.
They offer 5-beer flights and taster sizes.
Only a minute off of 270/15 and definitely worth the stop.

Thid place is always a good time and today was no exception. Tasty beer, good music, excellent Peruvian food truck. What's not to like?

Ample seating outdoors. Your choice of metal tables/seat or picnic tables. There is also, some seating indoors. They offered variety of beer styles on tap. Looks like there was even a seltzer for non-beer drinkers.

Awesome brewery!! Great selection of beers. The stuff is super friendly. Also this brewery is kid friendly.

Delicious beer. Selection is limited, but what they had was delicious. I got the coffee Stout and my husband had a beer that honestly tasted just like juice. Beer juice. 2 thumbs up. Both beers had a ton of flavor and were extremely smooth to drink. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are also welcome inside. This brewery also had great customer service. The people working we're very friendly and accomodating. Would love to go back.

Attentive staff served us quickly with some good craft beer. Our party got 2 beer flights and we were very satisfied with the selection and quality. Have been here several times before and will definitely return in the future.

Great selection of seltzer in addition to beer. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, lots of shade outside and the weekend often has special eventa.

10 beers on tap and growing... Drink local - drink fresh... Their team members are cool and the atmosphere is casual. The only food is some pretzels for $6; however, the occasional food truck does swing by and offer some freshly prepared fare. Growler maybe filled to go, and their logoed flip-top version is well made.

Delightful brewery, friendly staff with an interesting selection of beers. Enjoyed the atmosphere and beers. typically they have 10 to 12 beers on tap, and something for everyone. most recent visit offered a great ipa , porter, ales, etc. Lots of special events and activities on the weekend. Porch area recently opened. Flights are available for $13 and includes 5 drinks.

Great spot in Frederick! Plenty of beers on tap for a variety of tastes, sometimes a food truck. Really cool artwork on the beer labels! Super chill.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and we were lucky enough to catch some live music. The outdoor setting is pretty nice. There are a few benches and seats inside too. We had an NE IPA and a lager, both of which were good and quite reasonably priced. They also have small pours and they offer flights. All in all, I'd say our experience was good.

Yum!!! Thoughtful brews, excellent set up for the flow of patrons, and a delightful atmosphere. I definitely look forward to visiting when the weather gets a bit warmer to enjoy the outdoor section!

Great venue and brewery! Great for kids! (Fenced in area)

This was our first visit and we had a great time. The staff is very friendly and the drinks are great. Being an anniversary event the music and food trucks made the outdoor space inviting and shady, perfect for an afternoon chill.

Love this place. Great beers and a great and knowledgeable staff.
