On a rented motorcycle riding north for the afternoon, I randomly stopped and decided to walk around. This store was my first stop in Encinitas. Nice owner and great selection! If I had been in a car, I would have left with two new guitars. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be stopping in again.

I'd buy the German guitar there. Plus they offer free picks. Please ask for the one shoe sorry shoe. Show hobo. They good they fixed my git before 911. I come back there often. I think they need to buy the bar the saloon and make it a museum. Good family great people. Free guitar picks. Try it out.

Russell sold me my first serious electric guitar 30 years ago, at this same shop. It was a white Japanese Squier, with body-routed pickups and a Floyd trem. He was like, “you’re going to get a lot of heat from that humbucker” to me with a grin. The place was stacked and I got out for $220. Fast forward : Internet Era—I stopped in and thanked Russ for a life’s amazement with electric shovels the other week, and Moonlight was exactly how I remembered, three decades ago and we chatted about the world for 15 minutes. Go visit a legend already.

Russell is highly qualified and extremely experienced with electric and acoustic guitars. We are lucky to still have a local independently owned quality music shop in Encinitas 👍

Beyond great selection and display of guitars and ukuleles. The guys that work there are very nice and if you take lessons from them become even more like a friend to you. A very "cozy" music shop and has a great vibe to it.

Friendly staff and while it is a smaller shop with a small selection, the guitars are quality. I didn't even buy anything and he gave me a free strap string after saying I needed one.
