Coastal Music

I started a 3 of my kids here last summer and we love it. They do drums, piano, and guitar but more instruments are offered. Lots of performance opportunities, the teachers are fantastic and the staff are super flexible. They did a free intro with the teachers and my kids to make sure it was a good fit for us. Solid performing community and look forward to the next several years.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons for about 6 years here. The reason I chose this place from the very beginning was because they offer a free choir to kids. Who does that? People with a genuinely kind heart, that's who! & I was right!! The owners Andy and Pam are the cutest couple, with the kindest hearts! They are both so knowledgeable & they create a fun, warm and inviting atmosphere for all their students, from children to adults! We love this place so much, we drive from Temecula every week to continue our daughter's piano lessons! Since she started piano, her school work went from mediocre to top of her class! Her confidence has been boosted from all that she accomplishes through piano! I highly recommend all my friends to take their children here! With music being cut from schools, this studio has offererd the perfect environment for your child to flourish through music. I know mine has!

It's hard to imagine that a more supportive environment could exist for kids than Coastal Music Studios. We've been clients for several years, several instruments, and vocal training. Every single teacher is incredible. They are knowledgeable, great with the kids, and incredibly encouraging. This is a school that is genuinely dedicated to instilling a love of music in all its forms in its students, and in giving them the confidence to express themselves musically. I can't recommend them highly enough - I wish there were more stars available!

We have been going to Coastal Music Studios for more than a year. WE LOVE THEM! We have enrolled in summer camps: ukulele, Disney, Hamilton & making music camp. All were different and all were amazing. We have enrolled in the free community choir for 2 semesters (so far) -- so well organized and wonderful direction of the kids. We are also enrolled in private and group piano lessons weekly -- and once it's available again, we cannot wait to start voice lessons.

The critical component that Coastal Music Studios always has, and is of utmost importance to me as a parent, is COMMUNICATION. Their communication style is well thought out and executed professionally and consistently. The instructors and counselors are exceptional. They get to know each and every kid - quirks, sensitivities, individual personalities and they adapt and accommodate. Our family is so grateful for what Coastal Music Studios brings to our local community and the special community they create within their four walls.

Coastal Music Studios is AMAZING!! My daughter has been taking piano here for a few years now and we have never been disappointed! The staff is exceptional! From the owners of the studio, to the rest of the employees, every single one of them truly cares and goes out of their way to make our daughter's experience of learning music the very best!! It truly feels like family every time we go! Their private lessons are top knotch and my daughter just participated in her first camp there this summer and had the best time ever!! Pam and Andy are awesome! My daughters take piano lessons with Pam and are members of the FREE choir they provide for anyone who wants to join. They are very generous and provide our kids with a safe and fun environment. Not to mention that all the teachers are very talented and are great mentors to the kids. I highly recommend Coastal Music Studios.

Coastal Music Studios has been a great fit for our family!

We have 1 child in violin and 2 in piano. Andy & family worked with us to accommodate our crazy schedule.

This is a family-run and family-friendly company. The Allens and their music teachers are extremely warm, yet professional, and seem very knowledgeable in a wide range of instruments and styles. They paired my children with teachers that fit our needs and personalities well. I'm especially impressed with our piano teacher's ability to work with my son who has special needs.

Very, very, very pleased with this music studio. I'm very particular about where my child with autism can go to engage with other kids and have a good time. The teachers were great, patient and constantly on point. Andy was straight forward with expectations and continued communication about what to expect. My child loved ukulele Camp. They had great activities and team exercises, and they made sure the kids had a great time, while still social distancing. We will be back!

We have been with “Coastal” for about 7 years now, and my grandsons are not thinking of leaving! Ivan and Kirill sang with the choir first and now, they are playing drums at the Studio. We really admire care and attention to the kids’ interests and desires at this place. My grandsons love their very professional, patient, friendly and talented teacher, Mr. David. Mr. Andy and Ms. Pam are their long term friends and fans. Mr Chris - is a master scheduler and can fit you in just when you have time. This studio works for the children. They always think of new ways to demonstrate the kids’ talents to the entire world! Thank you, guys, for making stars out of my grandsons! We absolutely love Coastal Music Studios. My 5 year old has been doing piano lessons for a year and it is the highlight of her week. She has learned so much and connects very well with her instructor Miss Liz. They are extremely friendly, organized and overall run a fantastic program!

Coastal Music Studios....hmmm. where do I start! We began with Coastal Music Studios about three years ago when my two daughters took a "free" week-long music summer camp. I was so impressed by the hands-on learning that was taking place that I knew I needed to look into this place a bit closer. Found out that they not only offered the music camp but also a '"free" children's choir, which both my girls have attended. I quickly set up an appointment to see if my girls would like to take music lessons. After that meeting, one daughter began piano lessons and the other voice. Mr. Andy and Ms. Pam have been absolutely amazing with regards to my girls' and their music experience. They are patient, knowledgeable, engaging, and caring. Those qualities are extremely important to all children, but when you have a child with special needs, it becomes even more so. My daughter is deaf and has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Pam for the past 2 1/2 years. On my daughters first lesson, Ms. Pam had researched cochlear implants and already had a plan in place to ensure that my daughter would get the most of her lesson. And then there's my other daughter, spunky, feisty, and full of piss and vinegar, and Ms. Pam knows how to deal with that, too! We cannot thank them enough and appreciate all that they do for all children to bring a love of music to their hearts. I would highly recommending Coastal Music Studios, you cannot find a better studio!

My daughter has been taking piano lessons since November of 2014 and she loves it. She has a wonder teacher that is always pushing her. He is very enthusiastic. The owners are very friendly and genuinely kind heart. They will do anything to help you. Case in point my son and I did mother son guitar lesson in May, Andy was great he helped me find the strings I needed to restring my sons guitar and helped me find an amp for the electric guitar. He also helped restring my sons guitar while my son and I had are lesson. It was a great experience. I highly recommend this Music studio to anyone that wants to learn to play an instrument.

My daughter just finished Coastal's annual ukulele camp. She was quite disappointed -- that it only lasted 3 hours/day! She would have been happy to stay at the studio all day, learning new songs from her awesome teacher, David, and gearing up to pummel him with water balloons at the end of the week. As a parent, it's bittersweet when your child is bummed to be leaving with you. But it's a clear sign that Coastal is doing things right.

Coastal Music Studios has been a blessing. Our daughter has been seeing Megan for vocal instruction for 9 months and the growth has been tremendous. We have seen a huge difference, not only in our daughter's basic skills, but in her confidence and motivation. The Allen family have created a welcoming and warm environment, perfect for nurturing the talents of young people. We are so happy we have found them!

What an awesome place for our son to learn music ... a huge plus/bonus have been the lessons he's learned about helping the community. Mr. Andy and Miss Pam are simply amazing, so much care, thought and patience goes into each lesson. We are blessed that our friends recommended Coastal Music Studio to us!

My two kids (9 & 5) have been taking piano lessons since August. They have gained music reading, composing, and playing skills, plus their confidence has grown leaps and bounds! Lessons at Coastal Music Studios with Ms. Pam has been one of our best investments for our kids!!

My 6-yr-old son started taking lessons nearly 2 years ago at the studio and we couldn't be happier with his progress. He looks forward to meeting with Ms. Pam every week and gets to play a mix of pop and classical music to keep him engaged. They are growing like crazy which only shows how loved they are by their students. They are organized, communicate well, make payment easy and are obviously passionate about what they are doing. Their impact on the community and commitment to their business is quite impressive.

When you walk into Coastal Music Studios you feel like family. Andy and Pam the owners are the most wonderful, kind, patient, supportive people and have excellent service. Anytime we need to change dates of his class due to conflicts they go above and beyond to help. They even call other parents to adjust for you. They are flexible and always available.
The studio has an open feeling and when you sit inside you definitely get the students and music is what's important. We have been going to Coastal Music almost two years. Our son had no previous lessons and I am blown away at how much he has learned. He especially loves playing in the showcases. He got to be the closing act a couple of times. Which shows you how much he improved in order to be chosen for that spot.

Our sons guitar teacher is David and he has such a kind, loving, silly way about him. He really connects with our son. They choose music together, sometimes because our son loves it or maybe because David brought it up. He's played The Beatles, and Leonard Cohen. Best thing though is they encourage Jeremiah to create his own music. He has played two of his own original songs in performances. Our son even picked up the Ukulele and plays it now. He wants to try drums and acoustic guitar next. All of this shows you how Coastal Music fosters passion.

I would recommend this family owned studio to everyone

Coastal Music Studios kinda fell in my lap at garage sale. A fun looking lady was searching through sheet music I had. The fun looking lady was Pam Allen owner and piano instructor at Coastal Music Studios. I like to say God dropped her in my lap just as I was looking for an piano teacher. At my free lesson Pam ask why I wanted to take piano. My answer was for my enjoyment and fun. Two years of lessons and I am enjoying and having fun at what is happening to this 80 year young student. Coastal Music Studios is totally involved in the community with free North Coast Children's Choir. The choir does concerts for all to enjoy and performs with the San Diego Interfaith Orchestra at the holiday season. The owners, Andy and Pam makes us all feel so special. Check out Coastal Music, you will be glad you did.

Our daughters have been to Coastal for over a year now and they love the teachers and staff. Everyone is very encouraging and the classes are according to the kid’s needs. Recommend!
