Really great carne asada and enchiladas, with a killer bakery! Friendly, welcoming service that seated us even though they were closing in an hour. Oops! We’ll be earlier next time because we’re definitely coming back.

The Most Delicious Pan Dulce in the area!! Definitely will travel again to this lovely Restaurant & Bakery! Staff is very nice and on top of the cleanliness! Ariana is a very cheerful girl whom at the very early hours of the day already had a contagious smile!! Love it!! And I expressed that to her! Definitely recommend this place!!!😃

Really good menu choices and extremely fresh. Doesn't leave you feeling "stuffed " after eating. Bakery products are great, too.

Update: Been here more than several times and their food has always been top notch. I try to get something different each time.

The cute restaurant has a lot to offer in dishes and baked goods. I had the tortilla chicken soup and it was amazing!! Then we went over the bakery side and I got 3 loaves of bread, zucchini, blueberry and carrot. They were all wonderful!!

We decided to try it on a whim & it was actually so good! The doors do always stay open so if you're a hot person I don't recommend dining inside. There is outside seating which is nice but the food is really good & the portions are huge!

From Texas and on vacation.. stopped by this little joint… it’s super clean and neat. And fast service. I ordered Chorizo plate for breakfast.. my foundest memories of my grandmother were in the kitchen.. no one could EVER top her rice.. it’s been 15 years since her passing.. I had one spoon of this rice and it made me cry like a baby! Her exact rice.. authentic Mexican rice .. it felt like a warm hug to my heart.. THANK YOU! Loved my plate .. chorizo was just right.. corn tortillas tasted homemade .. just a very homie feeling in all! Can wait to bite into my sweet bread later 😋

Menudo was excellent! Service was fast & friendly. Pricing was ok. Smells amazing in this place! Lol. Totally recommend this establishment!

This restaurant offers friendly service, great meals, everything is delicious, the portions are large and the prices are about what you will expect around here, not exuberant beach side prices, that’s why we come here.

Phenomenal bakery. I ordered a classic torta de tres leches for a large family gathering of 21 people with little exposure to San Diego and its grand cultural traditions…it was an astounding hit! Felicidades y abrazos!

Excellent food. It’s great value for money, so much food. The staff are friendly and so many great temptations in bakery.

We are never disappointed by San Luis Rey. From breakfast to dinner and dessert from the bakery. The owners are super friendly, and they hire friendly, helpful staff. We make sure to stop in for at least one meal each time we’re in town.

Very good food and bakery is all looking so delishhh! My favorite is the banana nut loaf which is only $5!! Super cheap for a big loaf!
