If you need a cell phone repaired this is the place to go. John O'Rangers can fix any brand of an iPhone or Android phone. His prices are very reasonable. If it is not worth it to repair the phone John will let you know up front. His shop is on Industry Lane. It is best to call before you go. Sometimes he briefly closes to go out to get a bite to eat. He also sells nice phone cases. There is plenty of parking right next to his office entrance door. Easy in and easy out. We have several phones and never waste our money on extended warranties, we just bring our phones to John for repair. His work is amazing. He may also fix other electronics, just give him a call first. John is very fair and honest. CDC is out go to place! I thought I would probably need to buy a new phone after one of the microphones in my Samsung Galaxy malfunctioned and wouldn't work anymore making half the functions on my phone useless.

John diagnosed the problem and was able to fully restore the function of the second microphone. Turned out the microphone was just clogged up and needed a good cleaning!....Oh and since my phone was already opened up I asked John to pop in a new battery as well!

My iPhone wouldn’t charge using a cable turns out there was just dust/dirt in the charge port the owner cleaned it out and it didn’t cost anything. Also had an old iPod that I thought would need a battery replacement but it was too old to try repair he told it probably cost close to what a new one would cost if I need anything repaired I’ll go there

CDC is the best place to take your device in the Frederick area. I have been to many operators - no one has John’s level of expertise and commitment to do what is right by his customers. I highly recommend CDC.

Had 2 6th generation iPads that needed repaired - 1 needed a new charging port and the other needed a new LCD screen. I stopped by (no appointment) and asked for quotes. John gave me prices for both repairs, said he would have to order the LCD and I left the iPads with him. Received a call the next afternoon saying that both were ready! Very speedy service with excellent work, GREAT prices and John is extremely knowledgeable! So happy we found him and would absolutely recommend him!

This is a very high quality business to go to if your phone needs fixed. The owner is very kind and transparent with his process. I dropped off my phone and came back after 35 minutes and it was completely fixed. He does not require payment until after he is done an you see his work, he also provides a free warranty so if there are any problems with the screen he installed he will fix it for you again for free. Please bring your phone here if you are looking for high quality work.

John turned the bad experience of breaking my phone screen into a fantastic one. He is incredible knowledgeable and explained everything he did while he worked on my phone. While repairing my screen, he also noticed the home button pressure was worn out and went ahead and fixed that too at no extra charge! The whole process took less than an hour, and he stayed past his closing time to finish the job.

Highly recommended. I came to John with a cracked iPhone 7 screen. He needed a few days to order the parts, but once he got them in he performed same-day service on my phone. Once the repair was done, he thoroughly tested the phone's basic functions in front of me. There was an issue with the proximity sensor after assembly, so he promptly removed the screen and fixed it on the spot. John clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. He's extremely knowledgeable and knows these phones inside and out. He's something of a mad scientist when working on them! Prices are extremely reasonable (less than what Apple charges at the moment) and you’d be hard-pressed to find better workmanship and attention to detail. I think most third-party repair shops would likely skimp on the finer details and give you back a phone that doesn’t quite work the same as when you first brought it in. John stands by his work and will resolve any minor issues that come up after your repair (likely at no additional charge). I would absolutely trust my phone with CDC again and will refer others.

John is so incredibly professional! He worked so very hard on a major back up issue for my IPhone. It took him a very long time to fix my issues but he kept me updated every single day. I'm sure Apple could have handled this issue but I chose him becasue of his incredible expertise! I would very highly recommend him!!

John went above and beyond all expectations! I cracked my iPhone screen and needed it replaced. Showed up 30 mins before closing and John even stayed late with me to get the phone repaired! What great customer service! His prices are great and he was very knowledgeable and professional during the entire repair. I highly recommend that you see him for all phone needs. Honest small business owner who knows the trade. John gives a price upfront. He does not do bandaide fixes. He showed us the problem and explained our options. We chose not to proceed with the fix and offered to pay him for his time. He said we can just shake on it and asked us to think of his services for the future. This was our 2nd time using his services and I 110% recommend him for mobile device repairs. If his shop is not open, be patient and wait for his next business day. We made the mistake of going somewhere else because his shop was closed that day. We later learned it was a poor craftsmanship fix and ended up with a problem.

Had a bad battery in my iPhone 8 and I called to make sure he was open and without hesitation explained pricing and made sure he had my battery. I brought it to him and he tested it and replaced battery and explained it all while doing it. Paid 49.50 for a battery replacement which is very reasonable. If anything is needed for cell phone repairs he is definitely the guy you want. Thanks for everything and I will continue my business here.

This is the absolute best place to get any repair done on a cellphone. The owner John is a wizard and a very amiable and knowledgeable person. His rates for service are far more agreeable than any other place in and around Frederick, MD. I am referring him to all my family and friends and if need be we will be repeat customers. Great place to take any cell phone/computer/electronic and they will do everything possible to fix several different situations. Always had great customer service and the price is always fair. I have been to a lot of places for computer and cell phone fixes and this is the best!

I had an excellent experience getting a dead screen replaced on an iPhone. The technician (owner?) told me to come back in an hour and it was fixed when I returned. He ran some tests with me there, explained what he was doing. About a week later the problem reoccurred. I brought it back and he fixed it straight away without a bunch of questions or additional charge. While I hope never to have to have a phone repaired again, I will certainly come back here for prompt service, confidence that they know what they are doing and a track record of standing behind their work.
