Frederick Social

Stopped by the Frederick Social tonight for a event. It was my first time visiting here.

Large open space with tables and seating to enjoy your food and beverages. There is even a kids play area!

The set up here is very cool. Sign in and get a card that you use to do all your purchasing. Use the card to get your beverages. All of the taps allow you to purchase in 1 ounce increments as much as you would like. The amount is added to your card. The screens identifying what the beverages can be touched to get a further description of the item. Same goes for food. Go to the counter and order your food, and it will be added to your card. At the end of the evening just bring your card to the front desk and return it and check out. Very simple.

Nate did an outstanding job of walking me through all the areas of the restaurant and explaining to me how the card worked, and how to order food. Very professional and extremely helpful. Understood that this was my first time and made sure that I felt comfortable with everything. Great service!

Our group of about 30 people had a great time. Some ordered food, like the pretzel bites and jalapeño fondue sliders shown below. They were excellent.

A large parking deck is relatively close, so parking here is not an issue. The restaurant sits on the canal, and the lighted boats were still here. Very cool.

Overall a great experience. A great atmosphere, and again great service by Nate. I will be back.

We hosted our wedding party (we eloped) at Frederick Social and it was a HIT! Mike & Audi were great communicators, flexible, and accommodating. Their staff also rocked it during our party and made everything so easy. We received many compliments from our guests on the beer/wine/cocktail wall concept, food, & the staff. We already enjoyed our visits prior and we would absolutely recommend Frederick Social as an event space too!

First time visiting Frederick Social and it did not disappoint. It was early in the afternoon on Friday, so it was a bit quiet; however, the drinks were fun, the music was good, and the staff was super friendly! We only had a dessert, and the photos didn't do the Monkey Bread justice.....it was DELICIOUS! Looking forward to another visit before the weekend is over.

Wow, what a cool place and cool concept. 50 craft beer taps will leave you feeling like an adult kid in a candy shop! Bright and lively atmosphere that welcomes everyone. Its location (right along Carroll Creek) can't be beat. Definitely worth visiting for a thirst quencher if you are in the area!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Frederick Social and had a wonderful time. Our tasting and meal at the event was great and we were easily able to accommodate different dietary needs. The staff were very attentive and Mike and Audi were so welcoming and kind. The space is set up well and we had so much fun tasting all the different beers and cocktails they offered. Everyone had a great time.

Held our daughters wedding shower. Everything was perfect. Mike, Audi and the staff were absolutely awesome. The food was really good and lots of choices for drinks. We will be back.

The least presumptuous spot on the Creek. I lived right across from them, so I got to see how creative they are with festivities and this place ROCKS most days of the week.

I also worked here, so I can address whether things are canned or premade: they are neither. Like any restaurant they order fresh and packaged goods. The menu is the creation of Audi, and I've had most of it. It's varied and offers many tasty items. A little weak on the vegan & gluten free side, but they cater mostly to the beer crowd. She very much cares about the cleanliness of the entire establishment. So you can rely on that.

You won't go wanting for selection. There are also hard teas house made with local teamakers. To me that is a great example of community loyalty and supporting fellow local business. And the tea is EXCELLENT. They also work with local breweries if you want to support. If you can talk to Mike, he will definitely guide you to a choice you'll like.

Seating is great - especially outdoor. It's right by the crosswalk and police station (you can park near the courthouse or the park and walk) so easy to find.

If you're considering a job here: it's queer friendly. They had multiple opportunities to empower me as a Trans person and did so. The owners asked for my input on making their space more and more queer friendly, which made me feel valued and like I could suggest this to others. Like most food service, staffing is a challenge and they rely on their best employees to pick up the slack. Overall I enjoyed working with the staff.

I found this to be one of the most welcoming establishments in Frederick.

An amazing little place on Carroll Creek to share a few beers (or Wine or Prosecco) from the taps while listening to live music or having something from their menu.
I love the concept of this place! No matter what you are drinking or that you would like to sample, you use your electronic card on the taps to dispense whatever you like and you pay for it in ounces. So… taste as many as you like, or have a full glass of your favorite.
They have many beers (many local micro breweries), wine, Prosecco, kombucha, hard lemonade, hard cider, sangria, and other options on tap!
We also LOVE that they have so many vegan and vegetarian menu options for snacks and meals! And their service is quick and friendly.
The place has a great vibe and is located downtown right on Carroll Creek park.
Definitely try it out sometime! There is no other place like it anywhere close by!

Great atmosphere with live music and plenty of space. Kids play area and kitchen with a decent selection. The attraction is a beer wall which offers around 35 beers and also wine and mixed drinks. Drinks are charged by the ounce and you only pay for what you pour. No cash loaded on the cars either which is very nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Frederick Social! Came in for a bite after seeing the boat lights at Carroll Creek and ended up staying for trivia night (Monday nights), which was a blast! The staff was super friendly, especially the woman who greeted us. Our food ranged from decent to delicious. Thank you for the monkey bread--it was so good we ended up getting a second order! We will definitely be back.

Loads of Fun and atmosphere. Food was very good. Selections of beer were stellar.
There is a self serve tap brew pub in White Marsh, near me. Similar set up...not as grand, but pours average $.54 an ounce.
The pours here mostly top $1.00 an ounce.Your tapcard balance rises quite quickly.
Enjoyed Social very much, will be back ..
Reccommend using their small snifters for your pours ... avoid pints. 😅🤣

The whole concept of pouring your own beer/wine is phenomenal! You can taste different kinds without having to commit to one, or to help you find the perfect one to pair to the wonderful and fresh food they serve. We went there for Trivia night on Monday. It’s easy to find parking in downtown (and it’s free after 6pm!) and after that it’s just a short walk to their location. They also have an outdoor seating option. Their bay doors, when open, allow the indoor and outdoor seating to become a large open space.

Love Frederick Social! It's a great place to grab drinks with friends, listen to live music, and try local craft beers, wine and cocktails from the area. Their menu is great- personally love the tacos and pretzel bites with beer cheese. The inside is super spacious, the owners are fantastic, and the self-pour system is super easy and convenient. Will continue to come back!

So we had a fantastic time here while visiting my sister in law. It’s right along the River so it’s pretty and the all windows layout brings in a lot of light. There is a family friendly area around the corner so whether you’re looking for a kid friendly spot or a laid back date night it covers both. They walk you through the ordering process and you can grab half beers or whatever you feel like from the wal taps as it’s self service. They have an excellent section of beers and being able to grab smaller pours of the heavy ones makes it easier to grab a lot of samples (and a great conversation starter if you’re on a date). They also have wine, cocktails and NA stuff that my pregnant wife was able to enjoy.

The food is not your typical bar food. We got the tater tots, the artichoke flatbread, pizza, the bison burger bowl which was freakin’ amazing and these spicy brisket sliders on pretzel buns that were fantastic. Nothing was overpowering, the flavors were nice. It’s comfort food but well done. I need to try the wings next time but I’m confident they would be properly done. As a random bonus we met the owners and they were just really good people who made sure to stop by and check in with us. 10/10 will come here again, worth a stop if you’re in the area or even making a trip in this direction.

This is a really cute space and they always have interesting events going on. It is a good concept with a wall of beer and wine and you can pour as much as you want or try as many as you want. Food can be ordered at the bar or at the counter. The food is good and clearly labeled with GF, Vegan, Vegetarian, etc. The food portions are quite large. Staff is very friendly even when it is crazy!

One of the coolest places I’ve ever been for beer. You can’t beat it for trying something new every time you come in. Extremely friendly service, huge variety of beers, and decently priced. Will for sure be back!

My new favorite spot in downtown Frederick!! The owners are incredibly nice and welcoming and they’ve really set this place up well. They have amazing vegan options too, so attention all vegans: come try this place out!
The drink selection is incredible. They have a ton of different beers and a couple different cocktails. The ambiance is perfect and they’ve made a very large space feel very cozy and inviting.

I helped my best friend surprise her mom for her 60th birthday with 25 other friends/guests and this place was the perfect place to celebrate her! The owners were extremely accommodating going above and beyond to help us make sure it was an amazing gathering and wonderful celebration. Thank you so much Mike! We really appreciate your kindness! Also, the workers there answered our questions about the process of getting our drinks and food and were so friendly. The drinks and food were amazing! On top of all this goodness, it was nice they had a little kid section so the kids had their area where they could play. The toys and books were perfect to keep the kids entertained. The owners thought of everything! Mike thank you again! And thank you to your wife - I did not get to specifically introduce myself but thank you to her! She even helped with the surprise lol. Definitely recommend !

Great hangout and socializing place. Must visit. Bigger the group bigger the fun.

Great collection of beers and mock tails. Do visit multiple times to try them all. Wide open inside area, outdoor seating available. Just near the Carroll Creek Park. Food is good. Sweet potato Tacos are the the best. Nachos are delicious and fresh.

Lot of board games for adults. Separate play area for kids. Kitchen closes at 8pm. And self service.

Entrance faces South and it is Wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are clean.

I will visit in future and recommend this place.
