Emerald Garden

Emerald Garden is an oasis in Lincoln Park. The entire area that it encompasses is overflowing with life. There are fruit trees/bushes, well cared for garden plots, and even an occasional deer. People can participate and grow their own plants by contacting the Duluth Community Garden Program. Seeds to start your own garden are made available during the growing season and are available at the Emerald Garden. What I like most about this garden is that when I'm there, I feel like I'm out in nature. It seems like I'm out in nature, outside the busy city limits, and I'm not positive, but, I think the air even seems cleaner! It's a great place that really offers a nice little break from everyday city life.

Emerald Garden is one of 20 community gardens managed by the Duluth Community Garden Program. This garden has 12 garden spaces, hugel beds, fruit trees, and a spring. There are compost bins and a rainwater catchment system as well.
