Dickey's Barbecue Pit

One of my favorite locations. Sticks to their roots and isn’t following the other Dickeys and trying to make it super fancy and uppity.

Meat is always great and the service is top notch. Potato Salad is still the best side dish

I went around 1pm for a quick lunch, wasn’t expecting to be blown away! Literally the best Dickeys I’ve been to! Food was fresh and the sitting area was clean! Arely was super helpful and made sure I was well taken care of!

This location has the best tasting food. My family really enjoys the experience here.

I eat here once a week usually and occasionally order some meat by the pound to take home. It is consistently delicious and satisfying.

We ordered the Thanksgiving meal from Dickey’s on 14th street in Plano for the teachers and it was a big hit. All the teachers loved it!

Didn't realize it was close to closing time. I didn't want to purchase Dry Meat or Dry Side Dishes. But this location was way more respectful, honest and friendly! Overall the food was great! My brisket sandwich was delicious! I'll definitely be back!

This Dickies beats out all the other ones I have tried in the DFW area and I know BBQ and everything that goes with it. They even had Banana Pudding, pecan pie and Blackberry and Peach cobbler. Plus other assorted deserts . Plus complementary soft serve ice cream. Service was just as good as all the food. Great place to eat.

Best service at a BBQ restaurant 🙌🏾 Chef Manuel and his Sunday crew were attentive, thorough, and super friendly. If we weren't picking up a bug yellow box for a family event, we would have stayed just to be in their presence. Food options are ah-mazing and there were delicious items for vegetarian diets. Thank you for making our family function a success, Manuel! We will be back. 👏🏾

I went in to get food after a long day of not feeling well. Julio immediately welcomed me with a smile, a greeting, and gave me the best service. He had no idea that I was sick but he lifted me up with such kind words. His service was excellent and I will go back over and over again.

I've eaten here once a week for the last several years. Quality is consistent and the the staff has worked there for a long time. Brisket is tender and the other meats are not overcooked. I would highly recommend them.

A good people good food Manuel Alejandro and Julio was a good servant and beautiful thank you for being good citizens.

Always great service. I can walk in order and it's ready fast. Always a great amount of meat on my sandwich and a loaded potato is full of meet too. Thanks for always being the go to spot on a Friday night.

This is the second Dickeys ever built - super cool! Old school Buffett line - can serve yourself! This location still has the ice cream too! I asked if they had a pellet or wood smoker - and they did they still use wood! So awesome! Staff was great. Best sausage I’ve ever had. They have a large relish bar and warm sauce!! Highly recommend!

First class service. Been to a few Dickeys but the customer here is top tier! I highly recommend stopping in and saying hi to my friends

Pricey, but considering it was enough for a second meal, very good. Hot BBQ sauce was thin, but mixed it with regular or sweet and it was good. Free ice cream.

Update: New owners and managers have turned this place around. I am pleased it has improved. Steve was awesome with my order.

Recent changes have ruined this restaurant. My wife and I have been coming for years, yesterday was our last visit. You walk in and notice how "sterile" it looks. Gone are the photos, signs, decorations. The entire set-up is different, no longer buffet style. There is no longer a big menu with options(like plates and dinners), but everything is sold individually. I had a chopped sandwich, a side of coleslaw, my wife had sliced turkey and two sides, we had two drinks (and we only charged for one drink) and the total was over $26.00 dollars, which is WAY too expensive for what you get. The butcher chopping the meat never once looked up to say anything to us or greet us. There was a very nice older man next to him who seemed embarrassed that the butcher wasn't friendlier. We felt embarrassed for him. Dickey's should be ashamed of what they have become.
