Paul's Ace Hardware

I don’t go no any other hardware store but this one. This is my THE ONE. I won’t even go to another different ACE tbh. This store has unmatched customer service. I’ve been going there for past 8 years. NOT ONCE where I feel unappreciated for my business. Sometimes I even know that some of the items will cost less if I get from Amazon or Walmart etc… but money is well well spent here. Thank you for helping me out through out the years.

Definitely the go to place for just what you need that the bigger places overlook. More times than I can count this place has the right item other places don’t. Excellent selection with a wide range of items, superior customer service, easy in and out parking.

This place is fantastic!! I did not have trouble looking for someone to help me. It's not like those other Big places. Greg was really helpful and attentive. He helped me with a little project. I always have good luck with the employees there. They are the best!!

Every time I go there always helpful always knowledgeable and if they don't have it they can order it or have it shipped over from another store

Greg & Sal are amazing! They helped me put together a piece I needed to get my reverse osmosis running after changing out some filters. They went over and above what I expected by putting the piece together for me in the store. I had been to multiple Home Depots and other plumbing stores, but their service surpassed all those other stores. Thanks guys!

Awsome sauce! Best. Store. Ever. We find ourselves in this store at least once a week! AJ, Greg, all the staff are super helpful and patient as they help us navigate to find the perfect screws, nuts, bolts, washers for our project dujour or cut the perfect length of PVC pipe, or anything that we need, like a delicious cream soda! This place never disappoints! Thank you.

This store is the best. AJ is the most helpful person. He helped me fix 2 problems I was having with the toilets in my house. He is super knowledgeable about all things. Thanks for your great customer service!

Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Prices are slightly higher than big box stores, but the time and advice you get will save you money and time over the long haul. You can have confidence that the staff can and will help. You will get your chore done quickly, correctly, rather than spend your whole weekend guessing thanks to the help you get. Highly recommended.

Love this place, the service and knowledge of associates makes the a great place to shop for tools and parts for home maintenance. Shocked on pricing and value in relation to other "national home improvement" centers and when help is needed someone is able to provide useful help. Every purchase I make at local ACE franchise always better for stocked items.

Staff are usually SO nice. A short, heavier set, dark haired girl does not seem to enjoy her job at all! All the men, young and older, we're so nice and helpful!
Edit: My first interaction with her was at the register, but she made it abundantly clear she was NOT working the register. I was only going to ask a question, I wasn't in need of a register yet. Then I asked a guy who was also standing near the register my question. Tgen two of the guys were helping me find what I needed and had a little trouble. We found it. I headed for the register. She said something to one of the guys walking with me that they were closing, insinuating I couldn't be checked out. The older man kindly told her that they had a hard time finding what I needed and so it wasn't my fault and I should be able to complete my purchase. She stood by the door anxiously awaiting my departure. I thanked her and she said nothing to me. She either needs a review of customer service (ou never give a customer excuses for anything and MUCH more for her) or she needs to pursue a career elsewhere. By the way I was never rude, unkind or disrespectful to her.

I have been shopping at Paul's hardware locations for 30 years, beginning with Paul's True Value in an old small building next to Old Town Scottsdale. I was worried that when they moved to a larger facility or converted from True Value to Ace, that they would lose their small town friendly customer service... but it has stuck. I have since moved to Mesa and started using the Gilbert/Baseline location, and continue to be happy with the second store. They obviously have a great customer service model. My wife loves the "eclectic" items that the store carries, as if in a small town general store. I have always been impressed with the hardware selection. I can always find the nut, bolt, or screw I am looking for, no matter how odd. Keep the store as is, and I am planning to still be shopping Paul's during the next 30 years.

Very nice store with lots of selection. Friendly helpful staff and the free popcorn is always a hit. Their prices are a bot higher than a big home improvement store, but it's Paul and he needs to make a living too and can't possibly compete, but he has service that outshines any of those other stores. So pay a bit more. It's worth it!

I had to update my review due to the purely professional way that Paul's Ace Hardware dealt with this. I was contacted with concern, the employees were asked about the situation and then P.A.H. took care of it. I have to say, I am truly impressed and see why their ratings are as high as they are. I will continue on there, as I am a valued customer.

They used to be a great hardware store. Lately they have hired rude lazy people and I had to change hardware stores. Too bad too, i used to really like them.

UPDATE: Just checked in here again today, and Pete was super awesome! I needed help with getting some keys made and he was able to get me taken care of in less than five minutes. Now I have a few spare keys for my cars, and it was only around $10 for everything! Lowes and Home Depot didn't carry the keys I needed. I'm going to ACE for all the keys I need from now on.

ORIGINAL: This place is awesome! Everyone here is friendly and attentive. I was greeted the second I walked into the door, and within seconds they were helping me with the things I needed. Richard helped me cut a few sheets of plywood, and he was cool enough to take his time and work with me on getting all the cuts right. In the past I had gone to Lowe's and Home Depot, but neither cares about their employees or their customers. Both have told me that they'll only cut lumber to fit your vehicle...

I needed window glass cut. The staff worker that helped me was more than kind and took us in the back to watch him cut it. And then rapped it very carefully. The glass is very cheap and good quality. I will recommend this store for the glass cutting and an other stuff. Great all of a kind store.

ACE is great! Superb customer service, always find what I need! I LOVE Home Depot; but ACE is the place for personalized assistance and they even take your purchases out to your car.🚗 Found a huge patio umbrella fade resistant ($49), the weighted base ($29), and two zero gravity lounge chairs ($39 ea). What a deal!

This store really has customer servive down pat. They treat you well from the time you enter the store. When I need advice for a challenging project and want to kick around ideas, the staff here is knowledgeable and good at thinking outside the box. Whether plumbing, electrical or some other k in nd of project I get good advice here. I definitely recommend. The also have those hard to find parts or can go out how to get them.
