Frank's & Frank's Outback

First time there tonight and it won't be the last. A great atmosphere and vibe. The back bar, couches and fireplace was very comfortable.

The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The menu was extensive and creative. The food was delicious. Well done.

The food was amazing, I got the 8oz filet of beef and it was so tender and the sauce was amazing. I wasn’t really sure the difference between the restaurants and wish I had chosen the original Franks, the outback was not romantic at all. They have metal tables pushed together with paper table clothes. They could do better.

Frank's is mildly upscale, but with a relaxed ambience that goes perfectly with the overall feel of the Pawleys Island community. Drinks are quite well made. The varied menu offers a number of really good alternatives, depending on your mood and preferences. The filet, which came medium rare and perfectly cooked, was tender and flavorful. The lamb chops were equally well presented and perfectly done. The beef short rib was tasty and satisfying, and the jumbo lump crab cake was the best I've had this far from Maryland. A coastal fried oyster appetizer was appreciated by everyone. A large slice of 14-layer caramel cake with caramel drizzle and vanilla ice cream topped off our meal perfectly.

Couldn't be happier with the service, food, and atmosphere. We asked to sit at the fireplace, and the hostess quickly checked to see if it was available, and soon we were seated at the beautiful roaring fireplace. The food is always delicious at Frank's and the atmosphere is pristine.

Great place, nice atmosphere! This is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The food and service are top-notch. Highly recommended.

Very lovely and beautiful surroundings. The waitress was pleasant as well as very prompt. The food was amazing.

We visit Franks every year we go to area as it is one of our favorite spots. Love the atmosphere and staff always great. Shout out to Bob behind the outside bar he was a machine !!!! Didn't love our meals as much in the past. Don't take that as negative as you have to visit if you havent been before. Call for reservations as couldn't believe how packed this place was on a Tues. Couldn't get a spot until 8pm. Tried the short rib but reminded me more of beef stew and not crazy about onion crisps on top. Salmon dish though was good. Check it out !!

This was my first time at this establishment. I will tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. There was more than the eye could take in, the food was absolutely delicious and the wait staff were on point and very attentive. It was a wonderful evening and it made my birthday celebration even better. Thank you all for a wonderful time.

Been to Frank’s twice now and both times were amazing. We got filet & grouper, dishes were outstanding. The 14 layer caramel cake is also to die for! Our server was awesome and friendly as well.

First off I'm going to say that this restaurant is a little more on the pricier side. But it is 100% absolutely worth it. The food is Simply Amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed but social and completely inviting. None of the people who work there that we came in contact with between the hostess, the bar, numerous water people,servers anyone cleaning was in any way rude or disrespectful they were all very kind welcoming and they gave above the bar service that is hard to find nowadays. It's nice to get away and be in a restaurant that is not full of screaming crazy children or obnoxious families. ( That's not to say children and families are not welcome there, its kust that they wrre well behaved and respectful!!!) It was the type of restaurant that I have not been in years and years and years where you just want to go and you want to sit down and you just want to savor your food and have deep conversations and enjoy some drinks nice and slowly and not necessarily leave quickly. It is really clean really well cared for and the staff has been trained impeccably. It is worth every single penny that we spent there for my husband and I to get away and enjoy some time together away from our five children and just be with each other. We went here on November 10th which was the Marine Corps birthday. My husband's a marine and they did have written Billboards wishing the Marines happy birthday so that's extra credit in my opinion. The service is quick efficient and they truly truly care if you are happy and satisfied. The waiters tell you the specials they tell you what kind of food it is they tell you how it's made they give you all the details it's an incredible service. They are very informed and take their job seriously. I usually get so many pictures of places but we were just so into this incredible meal that I didn't even get pictures of everything we got.
I got the braised beef ribs and he got a cowboy cut steak.
We also had a carmel yellow cake with ice cream that was absolutely fabulous.

The food was real high quality meals that were not fried food you didn't feel like you were eating something that was unhealthy for you. It felt like you were eating home cooked meals made by a Top Chef

We definitely ate too much and do not regret it at all and will be making this a regular place for us.

There is a large crowd and the parking is a little bit tight because it is a very popular place,but it is popular for a really good reason. (The parking lot is huge, just a lit of cars!)When I saw the parking lot so full I was like maybe we should go somewhere else even though we had a reservation but I'm really happy that we chose not to because it was so worth it
I don't think that there is a single bad thing that I can say about this place.

We've been to Frank's several times, and we love the food. We've never had a problem with the service before this trip. We were all extremely disappointed with the service we had this time. The restaurant was not any busier than normal. I hope our server was just having a bad night because if not then I would like to advise her that she's in the wrong business. We only got half of the appetizers that we ordered, and we had to reorder the rest. When we got our entrees nearly an hour later, our food had obviously been sitting under heat lamps and one of our plates was missing the mashed potatoes. I will give props to the young lady bussing our table, she went to find our server for us several times without us asking her to do so. She came by to bus the table, and I think she thought we were finished until she realized that she wasn't picking up any dinner plates and asked us if we'd gotten our entrees. It was my son's birthday, and he'd been looking forward to this dinner for weeks. Very disappointing. Do better Frank's.

It was very nice ambiance!! Huge place but didn't feel super big. Who's was nice. We sat at the bar and had wine appetizers , salad and pizza. It was all excellent!

Waited for a special occasion to eat here but I won’t wait for one next time. It was outstanding!!! The food and ambiance- bar none. !

My husband had the shrimp and grits - oh my goodness! Creamy, buttery, and the shrimp and ham so tender and tasty! (Chef LisoI had the soy ginger marinated salmon. Very good but the shrimp and grits was the star! Mike was our server. Service was impeccable, friendly, and with perfect timing.

My first time at Frank's, and I truly hope it won't be my last. What a gem of a restaurant! Our server, Michael helped to make our evening fantastic. Best Old Fashioned I've ever had! Great food, great service!

As someone that lives here local, we love to come to Frank’s at least once a month. It is one of our favorite places to eat in the country, the food is always phenomenal and the service is second to none. We highly recommend Frank’s to anyone and everyone.

Absolutely fantastic evening, fabulous food and incredible service. What else can I say. Angie, our server, was very personable, knowledgeable and kept checking back with us for anything needed. The atmosphere was romantic as we celebrated my wife's birthday. We will return.

After reading some of the reviews we were thinking about changing venues. I have to say the food was awesome, Kerry the waiter was fantastic! We already made a reservation for later in the week with our friends. Have to try the fried deviled eggs!! The plane crash cocktail is a must do as well.

Blackened HalibutWith Heirloom Tri-Color Carrots, Brussel Sprout Petals, Fingerling Potatoes, And Sundried Tomato, Parmesan Cream Sauce was Excellent!!! Our waiter JR was amazing!!

It's hard to beat this place anywhere around Pawleys. Generally tough to get a table, even off season. But that's because it is consistently good. Very dependable. They've got it figured out. Even the summer crowds don't throw them off their game.
