Restaurant overlooking the waterfront. Full of character and lots of great photos from long ago in Georgetown. The best part was the excellent food. Hubby said it was the best meal he's had since moving to SC two years ago! The clam strips appetizer was to die for. Going back just to sample the dessert menu because we didn't have room for dessert. We'll have more than dessert I am sure - who can resist freshly prepared seafood?

Absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect . Our server Kim H. was knowledgeable, friendly, and we never had to ask for anything. The best grits I have ever had. Their play on Oysters Rock truly stepped them up another level!! You must visit here if in the area or if you have an hour or two to drive. Definitely worth it!

We truly enjoyed our lunch at this main street and waterfront seafood focused restaurant. We had the daily special, for <$13 a large piece of flounder with two sides and corn bread hit the spot. We enjoyed cocktails and dessert and walked out fully satisfied. They were hiring multiple positions, but everyone pitched in and worked together to take care of customers. We can’t wait to return.

Always good food and service. Enjoy sitting in the "outdoor" area so we can watch as boats come in and out. Love their Chicken Salad stuffed cantaloupe but it's off the menu right now. Highly recommend.

Great service (Gabby was awesome!) and fresh food options! I haven’t been here in over 10 years, and it’s just as delicious as I remember it being! The inside has been remodeled since my last visit, and it’s everything you’d expect a pretty southern restaurant to be! Lots of seafood options, and a beautiful view of the bay. Pictured are the clam chowder, mahi salad, and shrimp and grits!

My party of 13 was seated quickly. Our waitress was attentive and the menu had plenty of options for everyone, including the kids. The stuffed chicken was delicious. We also enjoyed the views of the harbor.

Food is delicious and made with high quality ingredients & good technique. Service was incredibly fast, and the staff is professional and friendly. The rib eye, the fried green tomato & shrimp appetizer, and the crème brûlée are highly recommended! Will definitely be back here for more!

Outstanding seafood. Always return to The River Room when we visit Georgetown. Consistently excellent! Had the Bang Bang Shrimp as my entree. Hush puppies are great too. Service was perfect.

Yellowing blackened was outstanding. Steak tender and flavorful. Great views of the harbor and sunset. Service great but not pesky...just right. There is a step to get through front, but put they have a dockside entrance wheelchair accessible. They were happy to open for me.

What a great night! Food was great, had scallops and shrimp . Then went for the delicious bread pudding. It is huge!!!!! Had to take it home for later and bought two more huge portions. Went on a ghost tour and watched a concert downtown! Beautiful town!!!!! So impressed💃💕

Stopped in for a bite of lunch. The atmosphere was awesome. Had a great view of the water. The portion size on the shrimp and grits was on point not too much. The blend of all the flavors went together perfectly. I definitely highly recommend this place.

Delicious food right on the water in Georgetown. Really great beer selection with lots of local craft brew options. During the week there wasn’t a wait time but if you can make reservations on a weekend I’d suggest doing so. Their shrimp and grits were fantastic! The staff was so friendly, pleasant, and accommodating. Be sure to stop in and see what all the buzz is about… it’s worth it!

Favorite place for 30 plus years. Ironically I have never ordered seafood from here. Joe's stuffed chicken and the steak are my go to meals. Sadly they added amaretto to the peanut butter pie which has always been my favorite until now. Delicious cranberry margarita, way to go Matt! Well always claim this as a favorite restaurant. 😍

The server was attentive and had a lovely Southern accent. While we didn’t sit by the window this time like we have previously, there’s a great view of the harbor. The food was delicious and I look forward to giving them my business again in the near the future.

This is an awesome Restaurant. It opened back up at 5pm & there was a wait, but only 15mins. Service, drinks & Food was excellent. I had Shrimp and Grits, Husband had steak. Both were cooked to perfection. Decor is awesome.

Stopped while driving to Myrtle Beach. Worth the stop!! The food was great and quick. I had the shirmp sandwich, wife had the flounder sandwich, and daughter ate the chicken sandwich; all were fresh, hot, and not oily.

First time and they didn't disappoint!! Food was amazing!! Bread pudding is some of the best.. Super large portions! Definitely will return. Highly recommended!!

Wonderful food. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Great service. Riverfront view. Reasonable prices for super fresh seafood. Fabulous desserts. Casual or fancy dress ok.
