Celebrated our 9th wedding Anniversary here. The cheese wheel experience was delicious. Our server, Johanna was very sweet and attentive. The atmosphere is a bit loud like stated in some other reviews but we didn't mind. Lots of celebrations were going on around us, and we really loved the enthusiasm shown from ALL wait staff.

This is the second time we have been to Black Forest Bistro and it didn’t disappoint! Melissa was our server and she was awesome! We had the smoked trout dip and sushi nachos as appetizers and both were delicious! Then we HAD to order the cheese wheel pasta. The only thing is, your whole table has to order it…it can’t just be one person. But it was worth it! Even though everyone gets the same base pasta, each person can customize it with different toppings. I got the lobster to add in and it was sooo good. Also, the drinks were awesome! Just overall, probably my favorite restaurant in the Springs.

Like many people I saw the tiktoks and the Facebook reels showing the magical cheese wheels with pasta but I figured it was something that you would see in New York or LA, certainly not in Black Forest. This place was amazing. The food was to die for, everyone was super friendly even though it was packed to the gills and very busy. All of the customers seem pretty happy with their food, the staff didn't stop moving all night, they were bouncing from table to table to make sure everyone was taken care of. I will absolutely be coming back here, check this place out it's worth it.

Cocktails are amazing! Food is spot on! Service is out of this world! Johanna provided attentive but not intrusive service, and Hudson was a master at twirling pasta in the cheese wheel! What are you waiting for, get to BFB now!

My only reluctance in leaving a review is risking increased popularity for my favorite restaurant. I've been a patron for more than 2 years and have never been disappointed. The menu rotates on a regular basis. Be sure to ask for a specialty cocktail, wine, or high end whiskey to pair with your meal.

And if the sea bass is on special, get it. But be sure to save room for dessert.

Went for our anniversary to try the pasta cheese wheel experience. We filled up a little on a delicious appetizer. The pasta cheese was sooooo good it made my man from Wisconsin a happy one! They even gave us a card and chocolate for our anniversary which was a sweet touch! I wish the place wasn't so loud inside though, they need some sound dampened.

My husband and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary at Black Forest Bistro. It was our first time there and definitely will not be our last.

When I saw the menu and pics of the food, I knew I wanted to eat there. I was slightly concerned that it was a “dress up’ kind of place until I saw pics of the interior. I was thrilled to find out it has a comfortable “mountain town” kind of vibe. We opted for jeans and sweaters. Yay. (Though I know you’d be comfortable in about anything.)

When we got there the hostess greeted us. She had a sense of humor and family-feel welcoming style.
We were seated at a cute little table to the side of a huge rock fireplace, next to a rock wall. It felt like a vacation-in-the-mountains restaurant. Right away, they presented us with a card signed by all the staff for our anniversary, gifting us a complementary piece of cake … and a bag of chocolate truffles. Wow.
The server came by quickly.

We decided to lead off with a couple of their award-winning old-fashioneds. My husband got the maple bacon and I got the smoked. They were both fantastic. I thought the maple bacon was a tiny bit more sweet, not much. I loved the smoky walnut flavor and smell of mine. Plus, to be honest, it was just really cool when she took the top off and the smoke came pouring out, dramatic.

Right away we noticed that there’s a tremendous team spirit with the staff. Everyone was working together and friendly but not at all obtrusive.

The food was all served with great timing. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and the presentation was stunning. The sushi nachos were so tasty. If I go for lunch, I may just order that as my entree. My husband had the Korean sticky noodles. Huge portion and really tasty. The sea bass was one of the best pieces of fish I’ve ever eating in my life. Incredible. Absolutely incredible. The mushroom ravioli that came with the sea bass was perfect. This chef is amazing.

The bartender came by with complementary drinks in the cutest tiny mugs. It was a “special hot chocolate drink”. I don’t know what magic this guy performs, he’s gooooood, but these little drinks were really tasty. I could have drank a 12 ounce mug of this delight … but probably shouldn’t. It was warm, chocolatey and you could taste a bit of roasted marshmallow.

For dessert, we opted for the chocolate cake … to go. Honestly, we were really full. We shared the cake a few hours later … bliss. It was a yummy multi layer cake with different textures, sponge, mousse, chocolate delight.

We can’t wait to go back to Black Forest Bistro!

Let me start by saying that this post is a few weeks late so I apologize. I cannot recommend Black Forest Bistro enough! My family and I had gone for their special cheese wheel pasta event since I had always wanted to try cheese wheel pasta.

When we arrived we immediately felt beyond welcome and almost like family (we had never been here before either), we were sat at our table and other than it being a bit cramped, it was very cozy. The bartender listed off the drinks and we ordered some mock-tails that were quite good, I got the drink called candyland which was a bit sweet for my taste but still very tasty (our waitress even offered to exchange my drink out).

We got two appetizers, the burrata and prosciutto, and the bang bang shrimp. I loved the burrata appetizer, the honey on the prosciutto was especially delicious, my parents loved the bang bang shrimp as well.

For entree we all got the cheese wheel pasta, my parents with scallops, and me with chicken. Not only was the presentation of the pasta absolutely amazing but the actual taste was to die for. I’m not kidding when I say I cried from it being so good. I tried a scallop and I they were genuinely the best scallops I’ve ever had, even better than Hell’s Kitchen in Las Vegas! We also got some garlic bread that tasted very unique but I actually thought it was quite good, very smoky. I can not express enough how amazing the pasta was, I ate my entire plate and then ate my parents leftovers the next night. I will say I didn’t enjoy the chicken that came with my pasta but it was on the side and I believe personal preference.

We all then got desserts, my dad got banana foster, my mother a key lime pie slice, and me a slice of chocolate cake. I personally thought that the cake was a tiny bit too rich for my taste but that’s just personal preference, my dad tried it and loved it.

Overall this exerting was absolutely amazing, the few things I didn’t like were personal preference, the food tasted phenomenal, and the service / atmosphere was so welcoming. This meal was on the more expensive side but I can honestly say it was worth every penny. I will 100% be coming back for more.

I went for the Pasta Wheel Dinner experience with friends tonight, and it was sooo creamy, fresh and absolutely FANTASTIC!
Chef Deanna is so incredibly talented in the kitchen. From main course to dessert, it's 5 star experience.
Johanna, Our server, makes you feel like family. She is attentive, knowledgeable and fun.

Black Forest is stunning, and we're all looking forward to summer dinner service on the patio.

Absolutely loved our visit. The service, the food, the atmosphere - it was fantastic. I wish I found BFB years ago; it was the best girls night out. We will absolutely be back!! 🤍

I went to Black Forest Bistro, and the food and service was amazing! Johanna was my server, and she was amazing and very welcoming! Chef Deanna made such amazing and beautiful food. I will definitely be back there again!

Always a wonderful date night! Seated right by the fireplace on a chilly, snowy night. My key lime pie mule was so good. Could have easily had several. The crab rangoon dip starter was delicious. Loved the light, crispy chips with it. The marrow butter and bread amuse bouche is so rich and flavorful. We had the Thai cod and seafood carbonara entrees. The Thai sauce was so good! Lots of seafood in the carbonara and plenty for leftovers. Dana was our server tonight and she was very friendly and helpful and checked in on us frequently. We always leave the Bistro full and happy. It's a favorite for a reason! Excited to come back when the weather allows the outside seating to be open!

Black Forest Bistro is DELICIOUS. The dishes were so creative and came out perfect. Our server Melissa was a rockstar. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and the staff was so welcoming and kind! They gave us a signed card, box of chocolates, and our choice of a free slice of cake. Everyone was so kind there and the food was amazing! Hudson did a great job with the cheese wheel and Melissa was the best server. Definitely will be going back!

Johanna was our server and she was nothing but amazing and fun!! The food was amazing and super insightful with selections. Hudson was on cheese wheel servicing duty and it was the most phenomenal flavor! We were the last meal of the night so we got the well seasoned cheese week. I got the scallops and the we got chicken and shrimp and it was nothing but amazing experience all around and an amazing little local place! Make sure to make reservations!! It’s worth it! Cheese wheel on Friday and Saturday nights only after 7!

My wife took me there for my birthday. We had the sushi nachos appetizer, the cheese wheel pasta, and complementary lemonciello cake. All were fantastic! The service was great, too. The staff were friendly (but not to too intrusive for a hardcore introvert like me). They gave great recommendations.

Be advised, service can take a little while as it is a small kitchen. I don't see it as a flaw, it gave my wife and I time to talk on our date between courses, but don't go expecting to be in and out in in 20 minutes. The whole experience is relaxed and luxurious.

We made a reservation for Thursday night due to hearing about the cheese wheel from Italy. The food was phenomenal and service was top notch. We also received some exciting news about our daughter being accepted to her college of choice the day of our reservation and they made it so special for us!

We love visiting the Bistro for every occasion from an anniversary meal to casual meals with our kids. Each visit has been delightful. Not only is the food exceptional, the service is above and beyond. On several visits we've been served by Melissa who has made sure we were comfortable, our squirmy kids had something to occupy their hands with, and gave us several recommendations that were on point. Thank you for such a lovely place so close to home.

This place is incredible! I'm a vegetarian and even though the menu was limited for me the server and chef went above and beyond to accommodate me. My boyfriend got the Maple Bacon Old Fashioned and thought it was unbelievably good. Everything we ate was tasty but he said that the Lobster Ravioli is definitely the way to go. Fantastic service, atmosphere, and food - we can't wait to go back!
