Great place to start if you're going on the Leon creek trail. This location has several other trails and plenty of parking. There is alot of development in the area so it's sure to get busier in the coming months/years. It is well marked and has lots of options depending on how long of a run/walk you're looking for. There is an air station for bikes and a port-o-potty of needed, which was clean. It's centrally location on the trail so this is a good place to start.

We’ve just recently discovered the Howard W. Peak Greenway Trails - we try to go to a different park or trailhead each weekend. Love taking our dog on walks on these trails. Saw a deer in the dried out creek bed and a beautiful hawk or falcon at the same time. Also saw some turtles sunbathing at a small pond. Perfect mix of paved trails and dirt trails (really makes us want to buy ourselves a nice bike...). Can’t wait to try out a different park/trail next weekend!

There's a lot of wildlife and a lot of different trails. Just be careful at night. These trails get very active with coyotes. All throughout the day you'll see deer throughout the whole Trail as well as foxes.

Great park to go biking with the family! They even have a bike fixing station!
Our youngest is 9 and she was able to follow along!

Lovely trail head to the Leon Greenway with water, shade, and information. Got to go on my e-scoot from here to the Valero trailhead in a breeze. I want to go back to see more of the park!

Not a bad park. Cleanest one we've been to. If it's your first time there study the trail(s) so you don't end of on the other side of the park. Plenty of shade if you stick to the unpaved trails as opposed to the paved which....no shade. But the mosquitos are freaking BRUTAL and look like they're on steroid's. Not joking. We arrived at 330 and by 545 the mosquitos were feasting on me. Next day had a bunch of red welts🙄🤦. Apply mosquito repellent so those freeloading munchers don't nom nom nom on you. If you take your furball have plenty of water for them cuz I didn't see any on the trails. And don't forget to put mushers wax their paws so they don't burn. Happy trails!🐾🌻🚶

This park is very nice. The first thing we did was walk around one trailer and then started like a hike through the wooded area. It was very nice. The bike trails were cool. I will be back to this park and I hope you can visit too.

All types of trails: paved, dirt, rocky and rustic. You can go for a run, leisurely walk, bike riding, rock climbing, everything you need and want. For the outdoor lovers...the trails constantly change, all you have to do is pick alternate directions! You will never get bored and you can go as far as your imagination. By switching things up you can do a total of 15 miles. They even range from easy, to moderate and challenging! Love this place and yes it is a great place to bring your dogs!

I love this nature park! We saw deer, rabbits and an armadillo. It is a bit more rustic, but I enjoy that.

One of my favorite places to go biking (mtb). Tons of easy, fast, flowy trails to be enjoyed. Great place to practice flat turns. Couple of trails which are great for pumping practice as well. MTBers, be vigilant for walkers, as even during slow hours, there will be people (and pups alike!) enjoying the trails.

Nice park for taking a walk, riding a bike and taking your dog. The only drawback is the small parking lot, 9 spaces that are not reserved. Otherwise, it is nice to see wildlife while walking and get away from the noise.

Nice trails with plenty to explore. Porta pottys available and maybe 20 parking spots. Watch out for bikes though.

We got engaged here a couple years ago, and we've visited several times before and since!!! ❤ The trails are rather easy, and its nice to go exploring off the path. One may find deer in the park. It's a nice little getaway from the city even though the sound from the vehicles on the road nearby can often be heard.

I wrote a more detailed description of this park on the Bamberger Trailhead, and you should look there if you want all my thoughts on this park. I will say that I have enjoyed coming to this park for several years and it is always the same, always clean, always accessible to all walks of life and fitness levels. Hard to go wrong coming here. I hope this helps someone.
