Whit's Frozen Custard

I fell in love with frozen custard almost 10 years ago and I get SO excited when I find a custard (instead of an ice cream) shop! I’ve gone to whits more times than I’d like to admit over the last year since I moved back to the area and I always leave happy. I got my birthday cake here this year and it was a massive hit! (vanilla custard, raspberry sauce, chocolate shavings/drizzle, husband added the gummy worms as a surprise 🤣) 10/10 recommend whits!

We walked by this place on the way to dinner and decided to stop in on the way back. It was empty, but the second we walked in, 3 employees quickly descended to tell us all about the menu items and make recommendations. I got the Deland Gem which was excellent!

One of our favorite for downtown Deland - make sure you save room after dinner or simply walk the downtown Deland street to Whit's - anything peanut butter is great! Try out the peanut butter with peanut butter cup with chopped banana mixed in!

This place is a go to for ice cream. Staff is very sweet and goes beyond for their customers.
My go to is the mud pie with extra cookies. All their flavors though are delicious. If you want their monthly or day to day flavors best way to find it is on Facebook.

Honestly I'm not a huge custard or ice cream fan BUT wow this was so yummy. 😋 love that it's made fresh daily with the highest quality ingredients - you can tell!!! I love that there are dairy free and no sugar added options too ❤ 10/10

What a great find! New to Deland and friends recommended. This is NOT your typical ice cream place. Their flavors are creative and unique! They start with basic chocolate and vanilla flavors and build new taste sensations. Our banana bread Flavor of the Day was amazing. They even have gluten free ice cream sandwiches! The simple vibe is enhanced by a killer play list for the background music that seemed to have something for every generation. Service is college-age casual, but perfectly fine for this location near Stetson University.

I love this place and buy pints to bring to work and share and they enjoy it so much, I love their almond flavor and anything else they make. Dante is amazing, he’s so patient with my request haha! I plan on going back next week to buy two more pints to bring to work.

such a great sweet spot in DeLand. it's all frozen custard and there are lots of fun, unique flavors to choose from. i've tried several and they're all so good- they change around so keep in mind the flavor combinations you really like so you can create your own. there are also ice cream sandwiches! there's plenty of seating inside along with a couple tables outside. they sell some brand merchandise that you can buy right in the store too. the staff is super friendly and are happy to give samples of whatever flavors you want to try! definitely recommend if you're looking for a frozen treat on a hot Florida day!

Excellent service skills. And the nicest people are here. My husband got a vanilla malt, he's simple, and states it was the best he's had. My son and I got banana splits, and we both agreed that it's so good. I'm definitely coming back

Excellent frozen custard. Had the vanilla because I had a taste test and was the one of best vanilla flavored ones I have ever had. And I usually like chocolate! Very friendly good service too! Thank you to my server. Definitely recommend.

After dinner my wife, myself and the kids decided to get some desert here at this location and we were not disappointed, me and the wife split a Hawaiian luai I think was the name of it ( had pineapple, banana,coconut) and my kids had the hot caramel apple on vanilla custard

This custard is sooooooo good. We happened to walk by and decided to stop. Best decision we made all day!! I am so glad that I found this place. My gluten allergy usually limits my choices, but I had plenty to choose from and really enjoyed it!!

The best frozen custard around for miles. I was introduced to Whit’s and it’s been hard to eat regular ice cream since. Love this place!

The nicest folks around... The custard, scrumptious... I had a black raspberry dark chocolate chip custard on a chocolate nut dipped cone... Super delicious and it's all made fresh daily... So much better than ice cream by far... You can get shakes, sundaes, banana splits, custard cream sandwiches etc... Go check it out it is truly worth it..every lick and every bite... To the very last drop... FABULOUS!!

The ice cream came out quick. Everything is delicious. Very clean. Able to substitute a topping free of charge. My son loved the fish bait in the sprinkle cup.

The flavors are always so good and creative. Something different everyday and I love that! Staff is very friendly too!

First time here with daughter and grandson and will be back. Generous portions all three of us had to take some home.

Great place for a cold treat. Welcoming and friendly staff. Lots of varieties to choose from. Grab it to go or stay and enjoy. A place I'd recommend giving a try.

Such a cute spot , perfect for a Sunday date ! Staff was so friendly! We have never been here before and she explained everything for us ! They also have cute coloring pages for the kids and even cute desks and crayons so the kiddos can color and hang it on the wall ! Definitely will be back !!
