E.S.B. Cafe

This lil walk up cafe is adorable! The horchata cold brew and turkey pesto sandwich on Sour Dough was bomb! We are staying in the area and stopped at this local spot, highly recommended!

We've been here once before driving through from South San Diego. We came back again because the coffee and service was so nice. Currently waiting outside for the rest of my order and decided to write a review. Coffee is delicious! The woman who's making everything is so nice. She was about to close up for the day but made our coffee with a smile :) she makes the caramel sauce herself and it's so good! highly recommend this place!

Little confusion over location, but it’s in the parking lot of the Valero. Super cute little kiosk-like set-up. Caffe Mocha was amazing! Fresh shaved chocolate vs syrup made it so yummy. Lots of fresh naughty-looking pastries on display that I almost couldn’t resist. I highly recommend you start your caffeinated mornings here.

5 star experience this morning! Stopped by here because of the convenient location, as my dog was across the street at the vet. I got an iced mocha and iced rompope latte. Both were incredible! The owner was so kind and welcoming and gave me information about the drinks. The cocoa in my mocha latte is from Oaxaca and they use authentic Mexican hot chocolate (Ibarra, not Abuelita brand). I LOVE that they don’t fill the cup with ice- the amount was perfect and when I finished my drink hours later it still had its original taste as it had not been diluted with ice. The drinks are not overly sweet. Perfect amount of ice and sweetness!
I wish I lived closer but I will definitely come back when I am in the area. Would recommend to anyone!

I love E.S.B. cafe. The homemade sandwiches are absolutely delicious, I’d highly recommend the Swiss and Pastrami croissant. The sandwiches and coffee is sold at a reasonable price. Of course you’ve got plenty of options when it comes to ordering coffee.
They also serve homemade banana bread!

This is one of my absolute favorite coffee shops in Encinitas! The coffee is amazing, food is delish, and I’m always greeted with a smile. It’s uncommon to find a place that remembers you when you come there frequently. E.S.B. Is different! If you’ve never stopped, highly recommend!

Definitely a must stop! Everything we ordered was exceptional. The Horchata Latte, Mex Mocha, Cold Brew, and Chai Lattes were fantastic and the Ham and Swiss and Double Cheese and Bacon Croissants were perfectly flaky and delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
… Update: We went back three times during our week trip to the area because my Dad and husband could not get enough of the Chai. We also ordered some banana bread as it was homemade by the owner’s wife. Do not miss that either! Perfection!

Yese’s service and energy are amazing! Had the Mexican Mocha Latte and the Hoeny Oat Cinnamon and they were both good! Coming back for sure!

In town visiting from Dallas and all I can say is the locals who visit this place are truly blessed to have this small business as part of their community!

His attention to detail on your orders and the taste did I mention the taste makes Starbucks taste like trash 7 eleven coffee!

To cap it off his wife’s homemade banana bread is to die for!

The collection of homemade jewelry his sister in Mexico makes is special one of a kind!

I'm always surprised to see anything with all 5-stars so I have to check it out. And Oh...My...God. It's the best. High quality coffee, homemade syrups and flavors, friendly service. I want to take to people here. Note: If you like the over-sweet milkshake coffee of chains, you may need to ask for extra because they do it with just the right amount so the flavor doesn't overpower the coffee.

Best Horchata Latte! You can really taste the horchata flavor like homemade. My husband ordered the Iced horchata latte and he loved it!

Delicious coffee! Ordered 2 lattes & a dirty chai. Both were very good. We love supporting small & locally owned over big corporation coffee.

Horchata Latte and Tiramisu Latte are absolutely favorite!! Try a tiramisu with almond milk to fully enjoy the amaretto syrup! Also, banana loaf slices and croissant sandwiches quite often save my day!!
