Stay Glazed Donuts and Cafe

My husband and I have been regulars at stay glazed since we moved to Asheville. The donuts (including the gluten free and vegan mochi donuts), sandwiches, coffee, all other offerings and even the atmosphere are fantastic. We bring friends and family all the time and they all say these are the best donuts and breakfast sandwiches they’ve ever had (gluten free sandwich options available too). Not to mention that the owner uses her influence on social media to promote a ton of other small, local businesses across Asheville, making Stay Glazed an awesome addition to the Asheville small business community.

I stopped here when wandering around town on a trip there and to this day I still think about this Miso Maple donut 🤤Man I wish there were places like this around me. Too many great choices to pick from!! Highly recommend!

The vegan/gluten free donuts were a dream! I haven’t had donuts in a decade and now I finally can again. I loved the straightforward glazed and the key lime. They have a very cool international chip selection too. We will be stopping in regularly.

A fun find in Asheville, steep steps get you inside a spunky decorated, little shop. The service was good, the donuts were fresh and good sizes for the money.
My only complaint which I feel weird about saying is that the donuts were too sweet. I don't think I ever say that things are too sweet but this is one of the few times I got half way through a donut and could barely eat the last bit. The donuts we got were great tasting, super fresh and doughy though. The Raspberry Lemon Thyme had a great lemon zest and the Eggnog Donut was lots of fun, exactly how I thought an Eggnog Donut would taste.

Amazing donuts, staff and atmosphere. It's also the basement of a really cool historic building! I ate my donut so fast I didn't get a chance to take a photo!

So good!!! The people who work here are so nice and lovely and the donuts are great, I like the Simpson (strawberry glaze with sprinkles), the OG (original glaze), and the everything bagel flavor one which is very unusual (it even has bits of garlic on it). Also they have gluten free/vegan options which are the mochi donuts, they’re smaller and have a different texture. You gotta go here and try to go early because they sell out quick! Also their selection changes, not sure if it’s daily or weekly but they always have something new and interesting

Got to try a few flavors of the vegan donuts at an event recently. They were out of this world in texture & flavor, and I can’t wait to visit the cafe to enjoy more sometime!! (Didn’t get a pic because I ate them so fast🥲)

Stay Glazed really is one of the great hidden gems of downtown Asheville. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy with the Simpsons playing in the background. The gluten free variety they have is also much appreciated. If you come for the doughnuts, stay for the service because it is also extraordinary.

Just worked with Stay Glazed for an event and they were absolutely wonderful! Their donuts are delicious and we were absolutely thrilled with their Vegan options. Highly recommend!

Cool little donut shop with several things to taste and try. I got the miso maple and the Simpson and their tastes are unique and great. The donuts are very fluffy when you bite into it. Very fresh! Closed on Monday & Tuesday so plan accordingly. There’s seating inside and the staff is friendly and relaxed. A must try if you’re into donuts!

WOW! This little place has it going. My wife went down to grab coffee from the hotel and ended up bringing back a box of donuts. These are a must try. The coffee is great too. I would describe the donuts as light and fluffy. Much more to them than a KK donut, but still light and airy. Soooo good with a lot of options. Glad we stopped by.

This place is a hidden gem! Constantly changing flavors which keeps it exciting and creative. I almost skipped out on it because it doesn’t have as many reviews and glamour at the other donut shops around but so glad I didn’t! Donut sleep on this place!

I went to Vortex first and have never been so disappointed.
Now to the good stuff!
The GF Mochi doughnut was life changing, I think I’d like it even if I didn’t have to be GF.
And the options for flavors, today they had 9 GF offerings. I got a dozen and they were worth every penny. The owner was devine! She gave me a sample of an unglazed mochi and let me tell you, I could have eaten them all without glaze it was chewy and delightful!
Then she told me there were GF breakfast sandwiches, so I got a bodega with bacon on GF English muffin and wwwwwooowww superb! I got a lavender and white chocolate latte also and it continued the trend of delight and awe I had over this quirky little doughnut shop in the basement!
While expressing my gratitude to the owner and her team the young lady working there tells me the owner whose name is Sam has celiac! And then it made so much sense! She gets it she just gets it!
My partner had their EggNog yeast doughnut and thought it was amazing as well along with a matcha latte (with local owned matcha company )that was flavored with rose and pistachio. This is the best hidden gem! And they strive to use locally sourced products which in this economy with a store of its size is probably hard for margins but the quality speaks volumes!

What a great place for coffee and conversation! Delicious donuts and coffee, so many unique treats. A must stop when visiting Asheville! Customer service was amazing and atmosphere was so relaxing and fun!

Excellent breakfast place. I got a decaf iced caramel latte which was delicious as well as a prickly pear lemonade donut. The donut was extremely light and fluffy and flavorful. I also got the breakfast burrito which was awesome. I loved the hash browns inside the burrito. I was a little intimidated to go underground to get there but it was a wonderful experience.

This place is a must if you’re in Asheville. Their donuts are so tasty. They have a variety of different unique flavors. I happened to order The Simpsons and The Everything but the Bagel donuts. Their donuts are fluffy and light. Come here early, because their donuts sell out fast.

WOW!!! Best donuts the sriracha raspberry is Awesome! The matcha toasted coconut is out of this world…well done ladies ❤❤❤
