Dana's Railroad Supply

I always passed by this place and wanted to check it out. Today I finally did I wasn't disappointed with so many cool trains and models as well as an amazing trainset with so many details it was awesome the staff were also very delightful to talk to I'll definitely come back and recommend it to my friends :D

Accommodated my group from The Arc Nature Coast with no notice of arrival. They were so nice to us. It's a must see place. I suggest calling ahead!

I am updating this review, had a very pleasant experience with the owner of the hobby shop. This hobby store is a prime example of why you support local business, you will get taken care of to a level that mail order will never achieve. Go here first to see what they have, both used and new.

The owners of this shop are the most caring and helpful people that I have ever experienced. They are warm and understanding as well.
What gets me upset is the post about the child that was reprimanded about touching the trains.
If you go into any store with an enabled uncontrolled child, your child may be asked to stop touching these expensive items.
It is not fair to blame the fine owners of this store, for your inability to control your child, and if anyone has the patience for customers these owners own the book. Wonderful experiences for me on my repeated visits to this store over the last 7 years. Thanks for being better than the average hobby shop and keep up the fine quality of inventory and customer service.

Very nice selection of trains with fair prices, a nice HO layout, and awesome owners. Highly recommended!!

Edit: I'm seeing people leave one star reviews with negative comments stating how the shop isn't open during days when it "should" be open. Folks it is IMPERATIVE that you CALL the shop (during open hours) to inquire if they are open that day or not. If someone answers the phone, that's a tell-tale sign they ARE open; if no one answers, then that's a tell-tale sign they are NOT open. In addition to this, you must understand Dana and Nancy are retired. They are not obligated to be at that shop regardless of the shop hours. They travel when they can and have other things to tend to besides the shop. They keep the shop open on a social and hobby basis.

We love going in Dana's. They are problem solvers. When we have specific track or train needs, they take time to figure it out.

Nice spot to grab your modeling needs. I recently started using some of their led light sets.

Terrific store for serious model railroad hobbyist, or people who just love trains. Great range of modelling supplies, and they'll order stuff they don't have.They also had some train sets that are great for kids' first sets or for running under the Christmas tree. Friendly owners are knowledgeable and are really generous about answering questions & they have a really cool model railroad layout in the back with a bunch of the owner's vintage model trains running on it. Great place. Call before you go -- its a hobby shop and owner's hobby is railroads -- both model and full size -- sometimes there's a sign in the window "Riding the rails." Fun place.

My first time in, really loved the place. They were really nice and took the time to answer all of my questions even though I wasn't buying any high dollar items at the moment. The stock they had was amazing! Will be back again and again.

I had them do the maintenance on a Athens ho train did a awesome job and they had several offers for it
