Wonderful hidden gem in Socorro, NM! We had a wonderful tour with Chuck as he shared his stories and showed us the old times! There's a lot of history in these walls and on the shelves and it's a must see if you are in the area. We look forward to coming back for Oktoberfest! One of the oldest breweries and sources of ice in the old days! Check into the tour as they are only open on certain days.

Small museum, with some interesting local artifacts on display. There's not much to it, so don't plan to spend a lot of time. The local model train hobbyists also have a large setup in the other half of the building which is worth seeing if that part is open.

Came here once a long time ago and it was a cool place only negative is they are hardly ever open.

The Hammel museum is built on the site of an old brewery. The collection isn't much, but it will give you a sense of the history of the town of Socorro and Socorro county's history of mining and ranching.
